I am a self taught mechanic of over 30 years in the field. Helping people save money and stay safe on the road is what I am here for. If I can pass that along in my videos, that would make me feel even more accomplished. I am rather old school and do not really do things by the book, for this reason, I do not claim to make "Instructional" videos. My videos are for entertainment purposes only. Please use safety and knowledge when doing your own repairs. ~ Ben - MegaMiles

I am actually about to do the same thing and I saw your video. I only have one question do we have to grease the U joint after installation?

Theyre almost always pregreased but I will squirt a couple pumps in anyway if it has grease zerks. If its sealed and doesnt have zerks then no.

Great Video!! How can I tell if it's a bad prop shaft or the trans case? It makes a little squeaking noise while in 2WD. Going slow In 4WD it makes loud grinding noises and will lock up.

Youll need to get under the car and check the ujoint and also wiggle the back end to check that joint. If the back end has a lot of play at the joint, its gonna be bad.
If theres excessive play with the pinion shafts that go into the differential and tcase, then thats a problem inside the gearbox.

Itll have slight play on the rear end of it but excessive play is bad.
