On Episode #1372 of the @joerogan @JREClips Kevin Smith relays a message from Gerard Way himself to Joe Rogan to confirm their family relations. They are in fact cousins. Crazy different sides of the entertainment industry, but I would pay money to see them collaborate. Both are fascinating behemoths in their own fields, but a long format podcast would bring out a lot of common ground between the two artists. #shorts

@@laniebugghe didn't do one single interview during the whole reunion tour. Maybe things will change with a new album but as it stands, they seem to want to release a documentary theyve been filming themselves instead of talking to media at all

Whether or not you're a fan of both of these guys or neither, it's really fascinating to me that they didn't help each other get to the top. It's hard enough in the entertainment industry and these guys both made it to the top of the top.

Most Influential Bands of All Time? I know they are a favorite of a certain generation, but it’s not mine. What are some of the bands they influenced? Can they be credited for the entire 2000’s “scene kids” thing or that generation of “emo” or whatever?
Not the whole scene but they definitely influenced the emo phase. MCR climbed pretty high mainstream. And It was a gateway band into the genre that lead to heavier bands like Chiodos / other bands with screamers.
Being a fan Rogan and Gerard being my favorite Patron Saint. This really blew my mind when I heard Joe say this.
