Archer is an FXX original animated, half-hour comedy. The new season revolves around the international spy turned hardboiled private eye Sterling Archer and his quest to find his partner’s killer in 1947 Los Angeles.
The case proves to be more difficult than expected after Archer quickly gets mixed up in a deadly game of tug of war between Los Angeles' most powerful crime bosses. Every clue leads Archer further away from his goal and deeper into a mystery involving kidnapping, prostitution and drug addiction.
The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin as the incredibly vain private investigator, “Sterling Archer;” Jessica Walter as the veteran crime boss and nightclub owner, “Mother;” Aisha Tyler as the sexy lounge singer and Archer's crush, “Lana Kane;” Judy Greer as the clueless heiress to a vast publishing fortune, “Charlotte Vandertunt;” Chris Parnell as a crooked detective hell-bent on seeing Archer dead or in jail, “Detective Lieutenant Figgis;” Amber Nash as Figgis' partner and occasional muscle, “Detective Sergeant Poovey;” Adam Reed as the saucy band leader, “Ray Gillette;” and Lucky Yates as the club's bartender/heroin dealer/Nazi scientist, “Krieger.”

It's actually a running gag- someone will ask "what year is it?" and either be ignored or responded to with "who knows?" Like, Mallory was in her 30's during project Gladio in the 1930's, Woodhouse fought in world war I, and its been at least a couple decades since project MK ultra in the 1970's. Couple that with the fact that Krieger has cloning, shrinking, and robotic tech, and you kinda end up with no real clue when the show takes place. It's why they're able to effectively emulate miami vice, magnum PI, and film noir with little focus to anachronism or inconsistency.

I disagreed with the title of the movie. It should've just been dawn of justice. The way WB cut out important parts of the movie that explains stuff was just criminal. The ultimate edition gave me hope because i originally liked the movie, but i don't want them trying this shit again after suicide squad.

The fight was a full eight minutes; which, when you cut out all the jokes and posing, is about how long the airport fight in "Civil War" lasted.

I would so pay Archer's voice actor to host saturday night instead. He would make the entertainment level Over 9000! Times better.
Pardon me but this is not a mere man you can just throw money at and have him host or perform like circus act as you so wish. His name is H. Jon Benjamin, and he is a well known comedian and celebrity voice actor. He has been well known in the comedy world long enough to have been a guest on Space Ghost Coast to Coast for christs sake. He has done voice acting in countless comedy central, PBS new and kids shows and adult swim, He also co-created the show Freak Show with his friend David Cross.. He is very eccentric, only does one take and usually refuses to read the script as it is written because he gets so into his characters. He lives by his own rules and bows to no one, the man is a living legend. Check the guy's other works out sometime and the laughs await you.

Even the "outtakes" and side vignettes from Archer are smarter and funnier than other shows.
To be completely honest, Marvel scraped the barrel with Guardians and Ant Man, but it paid off. Now we have Strange, Panther, Spidey, and Captain Marvel to look forward to.
Ant-Man was B-list at his worst but he was pretty solidly in there since he is a regular. Guardians was borderline D-list with its contents so it was well outside of the radar until this point. And then th MCU shined the limelight on them and the rest was history.

i just finally caught up to date with the Archer series, just finished season 7, so im guessing its same to assume that archer is alive? lol i was bummed out but he's the main character so i dont know what to expect heh

Absolutely fantastic. A great show ( at least season 1-4) nodding to the best movie of the summer, if not one of the best action movie of the decade so far. Also Pam's Immortem Joe costume is on f***ing point.
