    Thank you for explaining this. I read through both manuals I received and there was no explanation.

    So helpful, thank you. I just purchased a momentum vida+ and there are no instructions/ manual. It's straight forward but they're missing a trick for anyone new to e-bikes.

    I’ve had my giant stance 1 e+ pro since 2021 , fantastic bike especially for the price. Done easily 1500 miles on it with no major problems

      Yeah, great bike. We've upgraded to the Trek Powerfly 4's with even more power and longer battery power.

    *I love the **Latest.Bike** . The standard seat that cMe with the bike was incredibly uncomfortable, but a quick seat swap made the bike so much more enjoyable.*

    Hello and Kia Ora to you, just wanted to leave some greetings from Germany, just on the other side of our blue planet. I spent some days around Auckland a couple of years ago and had a great time. Take care, stay healthy and have a nice day. 🌞🍀👍

    What is the button we’re the battery is at looks like a litning bolt or something,I press it and lights come on

    • @goingblueQueestown
      @goingblueQueestown  Před rokem

      Great question. It's rarely used by us but we do use it when the batteries are in transit so you can figure out how much battery is left. Just hold the lightening bolt for a second or two and it cascades to the battery level it's at.

    Is there a way of programming this controller? The power assist is not as strong as I would expect even on the maximum setting.

    • @goingblueQueestown
      @goingblueQueestown  Před rokem

      Yes. You will need to download the free Giant Ride control. It's not the best app but you can change the setting here to change what each power setting gives you.

      What does it do I’m thinking of buying a 2017 quick e+ as a project it’s a steep price but cheap for what It is I believe it’s got a speed controller fault but I’m not fully sure yet I want to know can you use the 2017 quick e in throttle mode or do you have to pedal as in like the pedal assist only? I don’t wanna have to pedal at all just press a button or twist a grip

    Can anyone please tell me when I pedal hard I’ve got one White light one red light and feels like it’s in limp mode

    • @jasonlaine8449
      @jasonlaine8449 Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Paulo. From experience, the red light isn't normally good. There are some easy fixes and some difficult ones so here goes...
      There might be water in your controller so make sure it's dry and sealed or the magnet on the back wheel isn't lining up properly. Clean the magnet and reposition it. If this doesn't work, then check if the cables are damaged. You can replace the controller for $100NZ and if that doesn't work then it's probably the motor. The motor could have a chip in its teeth/cog which will mean getting the motor taken apart and replacing the broken part. I hope this helps.

    Is there a Batterie inside? I can not started the dashboard and didn't find the problem

    • @goingblueQueestown
      @goingblueQueestown  Před rokem

      The battery in on the downtube of the frame. Rhys points it out in the first few seconds of the video. If you mean battery in the RideControl then there is no battery there as it runs off the main battery. Make sure the ebike is plugged in and the red/green light turns on the power charger provided.

    • @jasonlaine8449
      @jasonlaine8449 Před 2 lety

      Yeah its a stupid button. It's meant to be for lights but I've never seen any lights that fit on this bike and work with that button yet.

    • @jimbo2629
      @jimbo2629 Před rokem

      My bike was in limp (eco) mode till I pressed this button till the light above it went out. I have to do this every time I switch on. Then the bike behaves normally.

    • @jasonlaine8449

      For lights which I've never seen on any Giant Ebike. So basically a redundant button.

    Update - Giant have updated the bike through the app! Say goodbye to the hassle of repeatedly pressing buttons to find your desired setting - now, it's as simple as holding down the prominent button either upwards or downwards for instant AUTO mode activation!

    Nice looking bike but poor quality control or poor transport.Rear wheel has major issues right out of the box. czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Rear axle is bent! Derailleur is misaligned.Since the rear wheel comes assembled I would have expected better.Assembly instructions poorly written, but that was not unexpected...just annoying.I just had the bike checked at a shop and was told that I should contact the seller about getting a whole rear wheel assembly with cartridge. (The bike shop could not do anything to help me).Not a good experience with this bike, so lesson learned.Added 3 stars for excellent customer serviceUpdate Sept 8 2020Just received a complete replacement wheel for free. Great service and an otherwise fine bike.

      Who says 6 or 21 gears? This has 9 gears as standard on the cassette.
