The dirty water goes through the blue tubes instead of a hole, just not fast enough but it would be the same case with a hole I would guess. You would have to clean rugs on a small 'hill' to prevent this but the machines need a flat surface to work. So it isn't really possible and unfortunalely happens on every youtube channel I watched so far. ^^"

I have a bunch of nice wool rugs, some Persian some karastan, but one odd size little Persian my dachshund got sick and threw up on it all over ( he always runs for a rug if he gets sick, go figure) and I knew it needed to be cleaned, and I'm 40 minutes away from a good area rug cleaner, so I spotted the sick spots with a over the counter rug cleaner, then added vinegar on it and hosed it off on a hot day, then used the my Hoover carpet cleaner with just hot water in the tank, and it came out beautiful.

I might not be the first to suggest this, not that you need any suggestions, but if you were to elevate 3 of the 4 corners of your pit a bit, maybe put an increasing amount of mats under it, and put your vacuum in the 4th corner it might help you to not have to squeegee so much
