Varma ji told me that Puru Kushala Daayinam means "one who gives Abundant prosperity" too. Different people have given different interpretations.
Some people said it was referring to Puru.
And it was an interesting story to highlight among Musiquebox listeners, some of whom may not have much of a connection with our puranas.
