- On March 7, 1945 at 1 p.m a small vanguard of the 9th US Armored Division, led by the 22-year-old lieutenant Karl H. Timmermann, reached the completely intact bridge of Remagen (Germany). Surprised, he immediately informed General William M. Hoge, Commanding Officer of Combat Group B of the 9th US Armored Division, about the operational bridge. The latter ordered the immediate attack. The Allied soldiers attacked the bridge at 1:40 p.m. The first detonation of the Germans, who detonated part of the loads, tore a ten meter wide crater into the ramp on the left bank of the Rhine. At 3:40 p.m. the Germans, on the orders of Major Hans Scheller, tried to blow up the bridge. She did lift a little, but fell back into her bed. Lieutenant Timmermann and twelve other soldiers were later awarded the “Distinguished Service Cross”
Within 24 hours, 8,000 soldiers crossed the Rhine in an easterly direction. General Eisenhower ordered the commander-in-chief of the 12th US Army Group, Omar N. Bradley, to move as many divisions as possible to the other bank of the Rhine, even if this thwarted the original plans. He is said to have exclaimed: "The bridge is worth its weight in gold". From March 7th until the collapse on March 17th, 1945, the Allies were able to translate 18 regiments over the intact bridge of Remagen. Immediately after the Allies took it, US pioneers attempted to repair the weakened construction of the bridge. In addition, three additional pontoon bridges were built.
Between March 8 and 9, 1945, Wehrmacht soldiers shot about 3000 grenades at the bridge, but did not hit them. Hitler was very upset about it. On March 10, 1945, a German counterattack by the LXVII Army Corps began.

@@johannsebastianbach9003 Not quite, rear of it was 80mm while the front was about 100mm. Not to mention the poor quality of German armor steel later in the war.
@@gavinmondor9691 It is possible that a Churchill might struggle penetrating the rear of the King Tiger given it was 80mm thick and it did have a noticeable slope to it.
Sloped 80mm armor at 30 degrees, which translates to 92mm los armor head on to the rear, with it angled, it could be more.
Also a penetrating 6-pdr round could be stopped by the engine, due to losing most of its kinetic energy after penetrating 80mm of sloped armor, it would have been more realistic that its fuel gets ignited, looks like hit point based damage.
A 6-pdr AT gun could get through at close range, but not the 75mm gun on the Sherman tanks or 75mm guns on the Cromwell.

This was OK but it looked more like a recording of AI vs AI rather than human scripted action. Flawless War Gamer's machinima are like movies where the soldiers react realistically. Keep it up though.

Okay, at 5:04, my wannabe tank commander inner dialogue kicked in and after hitting that Tiger for a third time, only to realize that turret is rotating my way: "What the fuu?! Fire at the track, fire at the track!...reverse, reverse, REVERSE!"

Its a Sherman Firefly with a 17 pounder he can penetrate a Tiger from any direction with one shot

It's the ammo cooking off. You can turn it off in ACE options. At least I can. Truly it's so loud and annoying. The ACE mod does wonders.
The Nekavandre I cant find that option in the ace settings ;(

Yes but you need a server as an admin you have a spectator mode and you can swing around like a camera :)

Yes, this is not the first video of me that the youtube compression ruined. The original render file here on my pc, the sound quality is very good and loud. I don't know why the hell youtube make videos quieter :( i tried everything i uploaded it multiple times in different formats for testing but nothing helps.

Love your work as always. Keep it up friend. Also quick question I have mods that make Germans, Americans, Russians, and British talk more, be more verbal, and react to pain more vocally but are you using any mods that give more in game dialogue or is that just audio you added? Also I highly highly suggest for more immersion you look up the mod on the Steam Workshop for ARMA 3 called "Project Injury". It let's people shot sometimes crawl around as they bleed out and/or lay on the ground withering in pain as they bleed it. Very immersive, especially if you want to commit a war crime and execute an injured soldier or civilian.

This is so historical incorect when the tiger got shot frontal and just poped.Seriously dude? The tiger one armor was one of the most unbreakeable and it couldn t be penetrated by a single shot of an sherman even with the help of an anti tank canon 🤦♂️. And the amaricans knew that when they had been fighting against us on our own geound cause they had meet them before so they would had been hiding in an seperat alley and shoot them from the side because the armor there is thinner.

Just want to say this by all means very great video but the only British tank in this film is the church hill except for the panther scene i cant really get a good look at the tank due to the smoke the tank that you call the fire fly is actually an American M4A3E8 also know as the Easy eight this tank was also known for killing tigers from the front from up to 800m it carried a long 76mm their are a few things that can tell the tanks apart like fore Example the muzzle the British Firefly had a bowl like muzzle the Easy Eight had a Rectangular muzzle this is the best way to tell them apart like i said very great and still relatively historical video other than the church hill scene lol idk how he snuck up on that King tiger. PS u can see evidence i have stated at 1:59 in the video

I guess Stukas where not used in the West at that point, due to Allied air superiority. Later in war they where exclusively used in the East, as there the Germans never lost total air superiority and where more needed in dealing with Soviet armor. EDIT: Okay, in this rare instance, they used "even the [...] Stuka", see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Remagen
The Germans lost air superiority in early 1943. The last time they had air superiority was in a tactical sense at the Battle of Kursk, where the Luftwaffe was able to gain supremacy for half of the first day, before the Red Air Force was brought into the battle in force.

@@Tiger01 You need to use the Virtual Arsenal, you can change every gear for every AI. It's in the base game, no mod.

@@Tiger01 the Sherman E8 could knock out a tigre FROM THE FRONT because of its HV gun despite what FURY would have you believe. Also that Churchill shot that Panther in the REAR armour 6 times before penning it which is absurd. it should have taken one or two shots at most.
