- I hiked to a beautiful waterfall and cooked an amazing Smashburger! Nothing like cooking a meal after a long but enjoyable hike. Join me on this adventure as we use the firebox stove to make some coffee and grill a Smashburger. This was the best burger I have made yet! I got creative and found a nice flat rock to use to smash my burger. It worked really well!

I was searching for firebox stove and came across your video. I am a hiker in Japan. Most people here cook ramen, rice or pasta outdoors and I never looked forward to eating them because I lose appetite during long hikes. Yes! Do give it a try! There is a restaurant chain called “smashburgers” and they have perfected this method of cooking a burger. Pretty neat!

I use the GSI infinity backpackers mug and for the coffee press it is an “AeroPress” I love them!

That’s the steel box! It is holding up great! I always make sure I clean it after every cook then place a coat of peanut oil on the outside to protect it. Seems to be working well!
😂😂 look out for that bear my friend. I'm pretty sure you're the first person to cook a burger, or anything for that matter, by those waterfalls. At first I thought the burger was way too large, but it fit perfectly on the bun...and it looked awesome!

Thanks Peter!! I always have my eyes peeled for Pooh Bear haha. I was worried the burger would not of been big enough, they always seem to shrink down considerably. I think I got a perfect ratio this time!! It turned out just right! I always appreciate your comments. Stay tuned for the next adventure :)
The little stove is great I love it! As far as the shoe tree, it was started in 1944 after a crew of loggers finished there work. One of the guys said he was not going to pack his logging boots back so he nailed them to the tree. After that people just started to join in! Pretty cool!
What is that seasoning kit?
It’s a Coghlan’s multi spice container. I got it from Walmart in the camping section I believe! Works great 👍
