The ending...just lost my spouse [end of Aug--60 yo], and this week has been tough. His b-day, our 34 the anniversary and Thanksgiving--all in a week. You all made me laugh OUT LOUD and remember to cherish the good times! We loved to banter with a touch of loving sarcasm! I'll think of this for a long time...and each time with a smile. Carry on!

Throughout the entire segment, I thought that brass door pull was a cement finishing towel. As you were paying, I saw the nut protruding from the bottom and I thought you were nuts for buying it. It wasn't until you showed its price and value that I realized I was the one who is nuts. I have to get out of the house and take a walk..!!!
Honestly that's what I was seeing also...and I am thinking you must have a few of those already.. I saw the nuts beneath and that baffled me.... LOL

Is kastners auction near you? It's in Edmonton. There's an antique store owner in Edmonton who has a CZcams channel you may enjoy. It's curiosity inc. He's done 3 hoarder house clean outs, and they're FANTASTIC! He's found some great antiques. When he gets a lot, he takes stuff to kastners and has no reserve auctions. You'd really like some of the stuff he finds!
Right now, there's an auction going on with contents from some safe deposit boxes that an owner of one of the border houses had. There's a lot of good jewelry, and the people who put it up didn't have the stones tested, so right now, they're listed as green stone, white stone, etc. The antique store owner believes they're real emeralds and diamonds, etc. It may be worth taking a look

We've seen their videos, the Archbolds are fun. 😀 Yes he's been very lucky with his house purchases. We haven't had an opportunity to do that here yet, but Karen's chomping at the bit to buy an estate like that!
Oh boy, that man was still full of humor even after that tumble down his stairs! He was bruised up a lot. Liked your purchases as well. Those Royal Daulton dishes were nice but not practical. Good decision! Loved having smiles and chuckles with your humor!!!!

I watch all your videos.. went to yard sales today, found made in occupy japan dishes. 8 tea cups, 3 platters gravy boat attached to plate, and seperate lil gravy or creamer dish. Paid 40$

I have that same clothes rack as at that first stop you made. My folks bought it in 1960, and it works great for garage sales as long as I don't over load it...have had the exact same problem!---I've had that problem of needing to get a stopper out of a flashed glass pitcher. Took forever, multiple approaches. What did Karen do to get her stopper out?

Hi Kids, gee, that guy at the sale was a hoot, he looked like he stuck his face in windmill!!! We're those dishes royal doulton, or Dalton??, If the doulton, you might have negotiated, would have been fun to see what you actually paid for them. I had a lot of fun in a short time, love the perfume bottle, silver overlay is always a good bet! Thank you, thank you, never a full moment with you two, loved it!!!!!

It actually true about beta fish. They live in rice fields and the males are extremely territorial and aggressive towards other males. In fact if you hold the bowl to a mirror they puff themselves up and become even brighter. But they can't stay in front of the mirror for long periods of time. It's like if we were in a rage for a week straight without sleeping, eating, eating. We would have a stroke or heart attack within days.
The small tank is to separate the males as they fight each other.

We have a beta fish (I did not buy him) and i feel sorry for the little guy in a cube of a tank. It's like he's on fish hospice just waiting to die so he can go on to deeper oceans.
