I second that! I do use less flour that called for, but that seems to be the case with most recipes that i substitute gf flour. I have also done it with coconut oil to replace the butter because I am also dairy free. This is a great recipe that has been our favorite for years. I remember being shocked that she uses the identical recipe that my friend gave me 18 years ago.

I sometimes take a chicken from the store, cut the backbone out (save in the freezer for stock), and then flip it over. I press down until the breast bone snaps and it starts to flatten. Put it in a 9 x 13 pan or on a cookie sheet, cover with plastic wrap. Put a large plate on top, and a foil covered brick (I bought a brick just for this) on that. Pop in the fridge overnight. That's how I learned to make spatchcock chicken. Takes a little more effort, but much cheaper.

When transferring out of your food processor, hold it with your finger underneath the bowl, inside the hole where the blade is. Your finger holds the blade in while you dump the ingredients out.

When baking a batter of any kind; butter and flour the bottom of the pan. It'll help a lot when you want to remove it. They make baking sprays that have flour and grease in it as well if you want to do less work. Lining the bottom of the pan with parchment paper first before that would also help. I used to bake a lot with my Gran growing up. I learned a lot. Even learned to make a fake apple pie that has no apples at all in it.

great recipes. the spottier the banana, the healthier it is as it produces some kind of substance I can't remember just now, but the shiny new ones don't have it

Christine mix a mashed banana into you cake mix in place of the oil. Then add drained crushed pineapple and cool whip over cake and maraschino cherries on top as garnish should you have them. We call this a banana split cake. I think Ill add the coconut next time make this Tada! Now you can also eat it, no raw bananas

It was cool to see a cheesecake made with out a spring form pan (I don't have one of those lol). I was not expecting the Salt n Pepa reference/clip 🤣. The family eating the "prep pasta" is hilarious. Hmm I've never heard of wiping off marinade before cooking.

Got lucky in Alabama! Our small Walmart was remodeling and reducing prices on items they will no longer stock…. $3 Rao’s. I was able to get a dozen jars!!!! Plus $1 for some of Walmart’s specialty sauces. Big cheers for a stocked pantry!

I have a similar banana bread recipe. The only thing different is I use brown sugar. The last time I made it I added some peanut butter chips and cranberries. It was amazing.
