- Enjoy 1.5" scale live steam on the rails of the impressive White Creek Railroad. Erie #2936 puts on a superb show as she navigates the Michigan terrain. A special thank you to the fine folks who own the White Creek Railroad for allowing us to come out and visit. Thanks for watching The Steam Channel!

Sharp looking loco, he did a great job driving it!!
That is the luckiest kid in the universe >-
Fantastic- I would love to have a train like this in my backyard I love trains have loved them all my life thank you for sharing this video 😊💕💕
Three cheers for that kids parents for teaching him to be responsible.
Fred Lundgren even with a ponetental steam bomb.
Ill bet when this kid asked for a train set for Christmas, he wasn’t expecting this! Reminds me of the good ol days at Seymore Johnsons in Montecieto, CA.
Live steam power is very cool.

Good to see there's an Erie K5 living on in miniature form.
I love seeing kids that know what they're doing when it comes to steam. You can teach a squirrel to run a diesel locomotive, but we of the steam breed is a well educated bunch. We have to be, you're sitting on a hot pressure vessel that can and will blow you apart if you don't give her what she wants. No wonder we refer to them as "she" and "her!" ***(DON'T TELL MY WIFE I SAID THAT! XD)***
In Spanish we use gender for all nouns and a locomotive is certainly a girl. We say 'La locomotora' where 'La' is the female article for "the"
Very cool, I'm very jealous I wish I could do something like that. I have been wanting to do something like this for a very long time
Best whistle I've heard on an 1/8th scale. Super cool.
I come here all the time! It’s a riot.
lol that's been taking to a new meaning
Very cool!
This is a very nice site and operation for being on the property of one family. I hope some arrangements have been made in wills for its continued existence. There was a very nice family owned operation in Northern Illinois just south of the Wisconsin state line and when the property owner died the railroad died also.
I got a guy here by me asked for help setting up a 10" gauge railroad. but I would have loved to hear that mountain highball
2936 What a handsome locomotive!
That kid's doing well! :-)
I have got to build a Reading 2102 and go operate on this layout! OMG!!! If I win the lottery.....
So cool
That's awesome it's literally a train sized down
Love the horn :)
that's a whistle idiot
Nice train
To me, the locomotive makes up for the lack of surviving Erie steam locomotives. She's a beauty!

My grandpa Is the one who keeps phasing in and out of the picture testing out his recent purchase on the in-painted F unit.
That is one nice locomotive. Gotta love those bull noses!
Want to be doing this so bad.....
me too
Good
These giant men riding a train are scary.
I want one so bad
were exactly is this site... seems fun
cool
You're always popping up where least expected. Great animations by the way. XD
Is there a peer Marquette 1225 in that size if not there should be one
How does the break work? Or do wagons have breaks at all?
David Wu the brake makes vacuum in the cylinders and there should be a vacuum tube connected to every coach
What website can I buy one of these locomotives
Trainman 1225 just type in google live steam locomotives and you can find Percy from Thomas and friends for 2.000 and daylight for around 200.000. And even higer prices
what whistle is on the 2936?

Wow
I'd like to have the money that was invested in this "rail company." How well do these "trains" move through snow?
With a good plow on the front, a steady hand on the throttle and working sanders, you would be surprised at how effortless it is.
That is, if you know what you're doing!
How did u made it???at least tell me how can we make it at home plzz reply???
Well if you have a machine shop at home and a set of blueprints then you're pretty much ready to go
me encantan los trenes.
good like
Indeed...all kids are lucky if they enjoy being with their dads....
training, fishing, hunting, racing, you name it
It's the company you keep that defines who you are....not the activity.
Rather Its is the activity what you do defines you not only the company.
Oil fired?
great video... s
bs ur chanl.. greetings from india
When you are a kid again!)))
Is this a private set up or some public park type thing?
This is railroad is privately owned.
Westbend Shops will build you anything you want.
Where do you buy one of thease
David Adam you don’t, you build them.
Where could I buy one of these?(online store)
+davidgabriel211 These locomotives are one off, custom builds which are extremely expensive. There is not an online store where they can just be ordered. Contracting out a similar locomotive to the one in this video would probably run upward of $25,000-$30,000 to have a professional machinist build the engine ready to run with a lead time of at least a full year (most likely longer).
The Steam Channel wow that's insane but thanks man
+The Steam Channel let's say you had the money to do a custom build who and possibly where could you get a locomotive like this and or others?
+zackary ampuero Little Engines sells castings for several types of locomotives and does limited machine work for an additional cost. Allen Models also offers several locomotive kits. Finding a machinist you trust to complete the kits is a matter of personal taste.
I recently found a company called Alco West that makes ready-to-run locomotives to your specifications and they have a variety of appealing designs. I think it might be worth your while to check them out. Here is their website:

What is gauge7
I hope to get myself a live steam locomotive after I get out of High School. Hoping to get something that's medium-sized, easy to run and maintain, and pulls at least respectably well. Any ideas? I'm not very handy and I don't have that much money so building one myself from scratch or a kit unfortunately isn't an option.
depending on what gauge youre looking to model in, there is a 5 inch gauge Australian design called a 'Blowfly'. Its a simple yet powerful tank engine, not too big or expensive (only about 4 grand in material costs if you buy all the parts off the shelf) yet still powerful enough to pull over a ton behind it.
I have seen them scaled up for 7 1/4 inch track, depends what gauge you have access to.
It’s always better to build a smaller engine in a larger gauge, than a bigger engine in a smaller gauge. What you build is up to you, but if you are a beginner I’d recommend building something without internal valve gear.

A HUGE (private) camping ground / business estate and amusement park
With it's own little town-like setting, c/with streets etc.
Near REED LAKE, White Creek, West of Cedar Springs Airport of I-131.
ie:
Aspen Ave, White Creek, Michigan
And all it took was a little research, and ten minute (virtual walk-a-round) "looksee"
Done via Google Maps, (& their satellite overviews / street views), to find it.
As I am half a world away from there, (in the southern hemisphere), in New Zealand.
I am wondering why no-one ELSE could easily find it ?
After all, it's NOT difficult to access GOOGLE MAPS.

And if that is impossible for you to find.
Just search for the Business itself.
G & L Enterprises, Michigan
THAT is their official business address, (and show you in no uncertain terms, EXACTLY how to get there.
It will even give you a telephone number, just in case you "get lost" on the way.?
