I saw the Saavarakar movie in Jammu earlier this week. Went with my 70 year old father - this was my first movie with my dad in a theatre. He really liked the movie, and Randeep's acting. Awesome depiction❤

Who said the government is not supporting the film? For your information, The current government follows and lives with the idealogy of Savarkarji. Only they have acknowledged him.
It's better if the current Govt does not support this movie (atleast initially).
Else, people of different or opposite mindset in this country would definitely look at it as a politically driven propaganda movie & boycott it beforehand without even giving it a single look.

I am a Maharashtrian, feeling sad and ashamed, we always try and bring our Marathi Bana and importance to our language however we couldn't get together to give such a luminary figure the respect and love what was expected. We are such a hypocritical society who keeps pushing our Marathi agenda however doesn't know how learn about & love our motherland from our home grown revolutionary.
Hats off to Randeep Sir for an excellent subject and great acting. The rawness of the film was very disturbing, making us think what are we doing of our freedom when such great men have laid their lives. Thanks a lot Sir for this.
Every Indian has been doing that bro everyone should learn. 1000 years of invasion has made us loose lots of our things & values. We should promise to hit back.
I feel the same, a generation of this community raised the Maratha empire, produced greats like Veer Savarkar and so many gems, did so much for Bharat and us now, squabbling over petty politics, trying to milk our ancestors achievements to the last drop, lack of integrity and zero striving for excellence. Feel disappointed and helpless at the same time. We only talk, our actions and efforts are a joke, myself included.

I am a Maharashtrian recently visited Andaman, cellular jail, when I entered the place where Savarkarji was kept, I removed my sandals, I touched the ground and tears started coming out of my eyes. Since I new the greatness of Savarkarji.
Other people/non Maharashrian were looking at me with a surprise.
Now thanks to Randip Hudda, all people will know the greatness of Savarkar ji and will have same feelings which I felt when had gone to cellular jail.👍👍🙏🙏🙏

We saw this movie on second day of Holi. I would rate it 10/10. For a moment I didn't feel some actor was acting but I was seeing Veer Savarkar ji live. Kya dukh jhele. At that time youngsters were having strength of body mind and soul. Their goals were so clear. Mr. Hooda deserves all credit for such a successful movie. God bless him.

Don't lie!! Netaji opposed both Savarkar and Jinnah. It was Savarkar who said in his last interview that "“There are many factors, which contributed to the freedom of Bharat. It is wrong to imagine that Congress alone won Independence for Hindusthan. It is equally absurd to think that Non-Cooperation, Charkha and the 1942 Quit India Movement were sorely responsible for the withdrawal of the British power from our country. There were other dynamic and compelling forces, which finally determined the issue of freedom. First, Indian politics was carried to the Army, on whom the British depended entirely to hold down Hindusthan; second, there was a revolt of the Royal Indian Navy and a threat by the Air Force; third, the valiant role of Netaji Subhas Bose and the INA; four, the War of Independence in 1857, which shook the British; five, the terrific sacrifices made by thousands of revolutionaries and patriots in the ranks of the Congress, other groups and parties.”
Savarkar was just another political leader for Netaji, not an inspiration. Do not insult Netaji.

I stay in Abu dhabi, I insisted two of my friend to come for this movie, they thanked me after watching as they were earlier not so interested…and it was a movie full of goosebumps and sadly the irony was only 9 people in the theatre

I saw it, and theatre was well occupied . Actually the screen numbers are so much limited , and timings are so odd evening time . That's why movie is not earning that much well. But the thing is still it never comes down below 1 crore even on weekdays . Crew movie is pathetic might be it will earn 25 crore lifetime which will cover the budget (20 crore)

@@hrishikesh9030 Savarkar ji encouraged Hindus to join british army so that they could get guns, arms ammunition as well as recieve military training. Because back then majority of british army soldiers from India were muslims and perhaps Muslims were looking forward to urge the then Afghan ruler to attack India because british were busy with world war and hence it would be a bit easy to conquer India. If he attacked India, there was no guarantee that Muslim soldiers in brit army will protect India instead of supporting that ruler. So Savarkar ji encouraged Hindus to join army so that Hindus could be strong enough to protect their motherland. Also it was beneficial Hindus to join army, recieve military training and then leave the army to start a mutiny. And he didn't support any Muslim league or khalistan. Instead he wanted Akhand Bharat.

सालों बाद इतनी अच्छी फिल्म देखने को मिली . थियेटर में कब ढाई घंटे बीत गए पता ही नहीं चला . Hoodda जी ने इतिहास को निचोड़ कर रख दिया aur शानदार भूमिका निभाई . इतनी उम्दा फिल्म के लिए हम आभारी हैं . सभी माता-पिता को अपने बच्चों को थियेटर में फिल्म दिखानी चाहिए

I didn’t knew Randeep Hooda is so intellectual until i watched this podcast. He has studied the life of Savarkar so well so that he can do justice to the role. I don’t think any other actor can do this type of study and hardworking. Hope this movie does well.

The unfortunate truth is that - still people doubt and talk negatively about Veer Savarkar ji in Maharashtra. What he has gone through at that time can't be talked,imagined, expressed...thank to this man ,he has made this movie. 🙏

It is also an indicator of what Indians are truly like - and what content they want to consume. If brain-dead masala movies that not only have zero intrinsic value, but also contribute to a collective brain-rot among our youth can still make gazillions, then I truly truly hope this movie is successful in the long run.
The 'big' production houses and actors (who are busy whoring themselves out promoting Gutka and Gambling) have never made a movie like this in their lives, not only because of their moral bankrupcy, but also because they are completely empty and have nothing of any lasting value to give - they exist SOLELY for money, regardless of how much already have, it is never enough. Only if movies like this can succeed will their monopoly be broken. Sadly we're too stupid and brainwashed as a people, and prefer to have gutka promoters and dancing whores as our idols.

They give proper references from Nehru’s books, Ambedkar’s books and other valid sources which you can cross check yourself. Watched this movie and there were so many goosebump moments, i held up my tears but an elderly person(aged around 70) who was sitting beside me and hewas crying and at the same time he was explaining some of the events to his 10yr old grandson shown in the movie!! It reminded me of my grandfather who used to tell me Veer Savarkar's stories, pure magical nostalgia ❤

Today I watched the movie. My 13 years old from MH board was relating many names in it with history book. And elder son with ICSE board was not having much knowledge of Indian history. Thats why I took my children to watch the movie. So they will know the real history too. Its our responsibility to know and respect our real freedom fighters. Lot of injustice is done to Veer Savarkar .

I watched this movie in Hyderabad. Literally goosebumps. I didn't Randeep Hooda. I saw only Veer Savarkar on screen.
I have visited the veer Savarkar cell in the cellular jail port Blair . Even as a 14 years old I could feel the struggle he went through, that visit changed my perspective about freedom struggle. Randeep Hooda will definitely shine in this role . Eager to watch this in the theatre . Great job , Randeep !
