Remember he is only a 2nd year player. Young guys are typically not All-NBA defender level since his rookie year. Once he gets a more consistent shot, he'll easily slide in as a starter (like Danny Greens spot). I for one would love to see what kind of numbers he brings with starter minutes
We gonna get to see that in Game 4 in ATL...I think he's only gonna get better too.. already getting that playoff experience and with DG getting injured rotating him and Korkmaz will work out nicely I believe...Sixers in 6

He is very good and does cover some top players but the majority of his time is against 2nd team players. Start him and his numbers would not increase much per game. Also, while he is very good, he depends on elite rim protector bigs behind him. He gives up way too many layups to be one of the top defenders. But it isn't hard to see him get there in a couple years.
@@mundering1 I disagree.. look at the game vs the Suns what he did on Booker. And he normally comes in to cover who ever Ben is covering. I watch a lot of games and he is always on the top guy, just watch vs hawks. He is on Trea Young
I think Matisse really lost his confidence over the years. He was never embiid offensively but he was almost Simmons like scared of playing towards the end. Wonder if it’s the doc effect
