Thanks for stopping by and your remarks. Thanks much.
Glad to see that you're an Atlantic Coastline fan! My grandfather was a conductor on the ACL "South Wind" passenger train in the 1950's. I have his cap badge, a vest button, and his electric lantern that he used back in the day.
Oh my gosh that is so cool!
Absolutely beautiful! Your layout is awesome, thanks for sharing!!
CONGRATS, I HAVE BEEN IN THE HOBBY FOR A YEAR NOW. I WOUND UP WITH 9 LEGACY SD70ACEs. HAVE FUN WITH YOURS. 🙂😃😀😁
Wow, you certainly love your ace 70 engines. We have recently added a few to our collection and are anxious to soon share some video. We had to stop our run sessions and build some storage shelves. But, we'll soon be filming and enjoying our run sessions
Bell 5 & Horn 4
Awesome locomotive and your hooked like the rest of Us 😅😊
Congratulations! Once you pick up or buy a Legacy Locomotive, There’s no going back at all. Not to mention all the great features that you can’t always find with the Lion chief stuff. The Atlantic Coast line is next on my list for a Future painting that I’m working on. I think horn #3 and #4 are my favorites. That display turn table of yours looks cool too.
Awesome! I got both of the Boston and Maine Fantasy SD70ace's from this same run basically for the same reason you got this one. Really cool what-if pieces especially when you're a big fan of a railroad that's no longer around. Congrats on the new purchase!
The Lionel Legacy ACL SD70ACe is honestly a supurb heritage unit. A slight correct though regarding Atlantic Coast Line, it wasn't technically "out of business" per say when SD70ACes were developed in 2004. In July of 1967, ACL merged with neighboring Seaboard Air Line to create Seaboard Coast Line, with ACL being the dominant company. Then when SCL and Chessie System merged in 1980 to create CSX, SCL was again the dominant company, so technically CSX can be considered a "modern day Atlantic Coast Line", just with a different identity.
Good point! I love the CSX ACL heritage unit they came out with, and I can't wait for it to come out in model form!
@@peachystrains8772 Oh for sure. 1871 is probably my favorite of the CSX units to come out alongside the C&O unit, so it'll definitely be a treat to see in model form.
Peachy, we love you enthusiasm and commend your very entertaining, well done video.
CSX did paint an ACL heritage unit with a GE locomotive, but I think this locomotive is better in the full ACL paint scheme. It reminds me more of the NS heritage units in their former railroads paint schemes.
I am thrilled that you are into fantasy schemes. It allows for so much creativity. Hurray!
She's certainly an eye opener...awesome !
Awesome video it's nice to see a young woman who loves trains
Thank you so much!
Excellent video! Congratulations on the addition to your locomotive fleet, and your layout looks outstanding. 👍 I have a BNSF SD70MAC on my layout, and I was also skeptical of the O36 min. curve. One of my favorite engines!
That is an excellent locomotive. The best bell is number one and always is. The others just don't sound too realistic and a bit 'tinny', even muted. The best horn is usually number one and this one is nice, although I like number 4, as well. I ran a lot of locomotives, including ACe's, in my career, so getting the sounds just right is something that I listen for. Even though this is a very large locomotive, it fits in nicely with your layout. Now you need some of the big, ACL passenger cars, to go with it. They look good behind the ACe's. An excellent video, as always. I'm looking forward to your next one.
Thank you so much! I typically also like the first bell, for the same reason, and I also feel like sometimes the other options sound almost creepy lol. I definitely have big plans for this engine, I absolutely love it!
I have to say looking at the size of the engine I was surprised that it could take a 36' curve. Looks good, runs good- guess that means it is good. Yep.
I was very surprised it could take the 36 curve as well! I was very nervous when I saw how big the engine was lol but it did very well on the layout!
Very cool ❤. I am new to doing model trains, I started last year with ny boyfriend. Now my boyfriend has been doing it for over 15 years! We have HO scale. Great video, keep up the great work 😊
When Looking for that certain Engine on Any scale That is Something to cherish. Keep Up with the Addiction👍👍👍👍.
That’s a great looking engine and much better looking than the real CSX ACL heritage unit. I figured you wouldn’t stay with entry level trains for too long! Now the next big challenge is building a layout with larger curves so you can handle any Legacy engine.
Legacy is hard to put down once you get a couple equipped with it.
ACL looks great on modern diesel’s! Horns 4 or 5 are awesome
Nice pick up!
You have a fantastic layout. It's so bright! Love it! And my favorite horn is number 3. 😊
That engine looks perfectly at home on your layout. Great purchase!
You are a true Lady .....anyone who runs CheerWine pup car on their layout is okay in my book 🤣👍 ....... I'm wanting the Atlas ACL switcher when it comes out ...... i like running the switchers on my small layout , as the BIG engines just look out of place for me, even though i do have a few F3's and a Lionel Southern from the freight set of a couple of years ago ( a GP7 or 9 , cant remember which right now ) .
Nice layout, enjoyed the video 😁👍🇺🇸
Thank you so much! I have the Lionel ACL switcher and I absolutely love it! The switchers are really nice and easy to run around the layout for sure
Beautiful. Congratulations!!
Welcome to the World of Scale Locomotives Peachy! 👏🚂😃
Hope to see you and Zach again at york in april..
Unfortunately we won't be there in April, but we will definitely be back in October!
The engine looks great. I just recently bought my first Legacy engine.
Yes, we also found those lionel legacy sound packages very well done. Keep your stuff coming
CSX has a legacy paint job for this in real life FYI; not sure if anyone is going to reproduce it in O scale
Beautiful engine my favorite color is purple congrats on your purchase of that awesome Legacy Engine the Bug does bite and will bite again I have now 4 Legacy engines and ordered the BNSF ES44 engine out of this last catalog can't wait 4 it
Yes, we have the very similar bnsf 25th anniversary engine and its great. You'll love your decision
Thanks trainboard
Cool diesel engine! I like the paint scheme! 😊🚂
Love the loco and the transformers (the bots that is, not the power transformer, although that’s nice too 😂)
That is a nice loco you got. I never bought any Lionel products yet and it's a cool feature to have optional horn and bell sfx. Your layout also looks great. Awesome video 👍
I'm both looking forward to and dreading the day I get my first Legacy loco, because once I get one, I'm certain my wallet will never be the same.
It looks great! Great video!
Love the engine!!! The wooden fence near the swing set @ 6:24 looks great!!!
That is a beautiful engine Peachy.
Thank you so much!
Trains are an addiction lol! I have ACL engines on my layout but the are CN&L columbia Newberry and Laurens.
Excellent choice
Congratulations on that aquisition Peachy! That's one good-lookin' engine, the SD70 and the ACL paint scheme seem made for each other! I'll bet the old ACL would have LOVED to have had something like that!
(A fleet of those might have made them think twice about merging with the Seaboard! 🤣)
Anyway, if Lionel said the engine's good for 036 curves you can count on the fact it is. The only thing I'd have been concerned about is clearance issues on the layout but from what I see on the video clearances don't appear to be a problem.
I concur, horn #5 sounds the best. I'd say bell #1 is better than the others.
Hmm, I wonder if someone makes Cheerwine scented smoke fluid?
Thanks for posting and sharing the new engine with us!
Looks Good
Big like # 70 cool locomotive Peachy never can have enough trains great video have a great rest of your day 😎🚂🫵TSM
Keep up the amazing work and thank you for what you do and you have inspired me to get back into the hobby.I have a ho scale
That is awesome! My dad also has an HO layout!
The Surprising factor of your Layout is this The Trolley Is The Only thing That Doesn’t smoke All Good Elsewise What’s The Next Engine In Line for you?
Fantastic Locomotive Peachy I Enjoyed The Video😊
Imagine having a train circling your house all day lol. Awesome layout and a beautiful train.
very nice engine good luck with it.
Most of the electronic features on your new Legacy engine are also on your Lionchief Mikado. If they had made this same engine in Lionchief withAtlantic Coast Lines colors, would you still have gone for the larger more expensive Scale version?
Hello Peachy, I believe my favorite horns were #1 and #5, kind of a toss up.
I am sorry this is going to be a long message.
Your SD 70 looks like a SD 70 Mac and it is nice and the color mixture is great and I like it. A few weeks ago I picked up a new to me used locomotive and it is a lionle and it is a Alco C-420 Lehigh Valley locomotive and it is my first biggest locomotive I have ever had and I like it Peaches.
My locomotive dose need some service work done to it, but it dose take me time to get the money saved up because of bills and all.
And yes when the train bug bites you, it can bite you hard because my friend and I are getting different stuff for hour layout, and hour layout is going to be a mixed scale layout with 0 scale and 0 27 scale and mainly HO scale because of the space we have in his place, I am my friend model railroading builder because he has medical problems and has the shakes with his hands and I got him back into model railroading a year ago and he is enjoying it alot and I also started building diearamas again and it is homes and train stuff and all.
I have a big love for trains and it keeps me happy and not depressed.
Yay another train video
Great video!
Thank you so much!
That fantasy scheme looks better than the 1871 heritage locomotive csx did last fall, lionel will probably have one out next year or so as it was the 5th or 6th one made
the base3 coming out around june
Peachy, you can use you TMCC Cab 1 to change or go through the all the horns and bells. You just simply hit aux 1 then the horn or the bell button and each time you hit aux 1 again. You do have acess to almost all the features with the cab 1 you just dont have the aux3 button and train brake. The new SD70ace looks awesome.
Can this be done with DCS remote with TMCC module connected to TCU?
Nice locomotive! =)
Amazing 🤩

How do you cycle between the hons/bells using the apps?
Great video. Is the outside loop on the ends of the layout O54? Regards
