My grandfather worked for the railroad at Chadbourn, NC and was an agent for the ACL in its first decade, so I’m a fan for that reason. He died when I was three and I know very little about his time with the railroad, so I click on anything ACL. Thanks for posting this video.

Really enjoyed seeing both switchers in action. They both would be very welcome additions to my layout -- if I had a bigger one and larger wallet but never mind I liked admiring them all the same.

I just bought a central of Georgia item that was on my bucket list from eBay

This engine was the last Halloween one I bought and I have that caboose. I’ve got the Halloween elx Berkshire from a few years ago, the hallows eve limited, fast fright, end of the line express and the Transylvania Express. I like Halloween lol.

Those Central of Georgia F units are every bit as pretty as the ACL F units. Beautiful.

There after 5:31 with the passenger train emerging from tunnel and passing between house and woodland backdrop, really nice visual. Brings to mind when we lived in Macon, GA, in 1970s; traveling around the region there were trees and tree farms everywhere, whatever you were looking at, the background was trees, well, except when looking east at the beach. (I was born in the southern California desert and will say that the vivid greens of southeastern vegetation are preferred to the previous environment)

That is a handsome livery, using "gorgeous" several times is wholly justified. 😊There were some really attractive color schemes in that era. Bell and horn sound grand. Great addition to the collection!

Well done Peachy! That's a beautiful set of F Units! I'll tell you, the EMD/GM designers who came up with those classic old first-generation diesel paint schemes were absolute geniuses! They look just as good today as they did 75 years ago. Thanks for sharing them with us and running that "Central of Georgia Day" on your layout!

Nice video. Though I'm an SP O-gauger on the west coast, I concur about the beauty of the ACL color scheme and have a stunning Lionel ACL 4-8-4 on my layout as well.

My wife and I are purple and gold fans of the LSU Tiger variety. ACL is a tempting prospect to add to our collection. BUT, my theme is RRs that had New Orleans as a destination. My favorite is the SR's Southern Crescent, but I have IC's City of New Orleans, SP's Sunset Limited and GM&O's The Rebel trains too. So, my model layout has a Big Easy feel to it.
