Really, can't wait for the two hour long video explaning the entire outlast story, this is really going to be awesome
czcams.com/video/-rfJX6xVwsk/video.html
Didn't he already do that?
@@voiceinyourhead8284 not the full story
@@Yungxxizzle all the story until trials
Outlast is a genuinely outstanding horror game franchise. Seems like there’s so much more to unlock and discover throughout the duration of the gameplay. You’ve got to be practical no matter what happens yo your character in the game itself.
Nah. Outlast 1 was fantastic, Outlast 2 was a gigantic downgrade
You don’t though? The enemy ai is dogshit and having 4 teammates immediately takes the attention off you and puts it on them. Even if you go down you can be revived an infinite number of times and you can’t progress without everybody in the lobby so your forced to baby bad players
@@strangelove6397 orrrr have a team of good players perhaps??
@@0verWay ratio
Outlast 2 was a shit game though. Glad to see they really took the criticism and made something great!
As someone from Arizona it makes me so happy that the Arizona setting is getting a horror approach. These lands are filled with dark history
Haha fr it’s interesting seeing games or movies take place here
Yep, tucson desert trails are spooky asfuck
Arizona has some pretty scary history nowadays too. You guys have/had a Sheriff that was running his own little slave kingdom where he mentally tortured prisoners. Since no visible scars were left and they were inmates, the general public didn't care enough to stop him. He even talked about running for Governor because conservative idiots LOVED his 'tough on crime' aka torture all inmates approach.
I was gonna move out there onto a reservation in fact haha having second thoughts but I do love a good mysterious adventure
This is supposed to be a prequel. Like how the lore of how the others came to be the way it did. Would love more batshit crazy exp cause Murkoff thing is super interesting.
We need one from the start of Murkoff i.e. world war I and II
@@TheBongeSpob I get the feeling that Murkoff is a stand-in for the 'deep state', so while the Murkoff title itself likely originates from the world wars the conspiracy dates back far earlier.
I think Trials will provide more context towards understanding the 'god' that Temple Gate believed in and why Murkoff was so invested in Knoth's cult. In particular, I think the 'Skinner Man' might just be an early version of the 'god' that Temple Gate worships AND the 'inner demon' that hunts Blake during his hallucinations. Dr. Easterman talking about wanting to be seen as a voice from above, his mention of a 'devil on the shoulder', and the implication that Reagent 0877 might just be a young Knoth (Murkoff seems very interested in his potential to propagate religion) all point towards clarifying exactly what it is Murkoff is trying to accomplish through the Temple Gate religion. I bet some of the Trials will be devoted towards helping create these "religious visions" that will later be transmitted to Knoth and other believers.
Besides that, I also think we may get more hints that Murkoff's experiments are intended to unlock psychic potential in people through trauma while also making sure they remain submissive to Murkoff's agenda. As crackpot as it may sound, it's possible that characters like Gluskin and Loutermilch may have been sleeper agents and that many more engineered psychopaths remain free to roam throughout society, unknowingly primed to do Murkoff's sadistic bidding once given the right trigger.
But what exactly is their bidding? To rule the world? Cause unimaginable chaos? The trials didn't really give me the vibes of training soldiers. So maybe more espionage and silencing witnesses?
With Gluskin I doubt it as he was born approximately 6 years after Trials takes place I think
A 66 baby If I remember correctly
@@muffyy01 I think it's possible that his abusers were involved in the Trials, so he could still be an indirect consequence of Murkoff's experiments. My logic for why Gluskin could be a sleeper agent is kinda galaxy-brained, but basically: who's to say the Trials ended in the '60s?
@@muffyy01 His father and uncle may have been subjects however.
@@fury_saves_world Coming back to this, I'm even more convinced that Eddie could have been a reagent.
I love the lore so much.
same!!!
can't wait for a full explained vid when it's released man
Idk why but the idea of murkoff messaging people and giving them this whole explanation of what they do, then following it up with "ok so you know to much now work with us or die" is hilarious
We're gonna need a story explained if I'm to get a clear picture of what's going on here. And why do the test subjects have access to classified evidence when they're in a controlled environment?
This is a good question
They got mixed up in there somehow ig also gameplay
Really can‘t wait for the Release and the new Vids that will follow up to it. This already sounds super interesting.
Really enjoy your videos on the Outlast-Storyline!
You can hear the excitement in your voice about Outlast! I really hope the don’t keep us all waiting to much longer!!
It is really going to be worth the wait though! Looks AMAZING!!
Always enjoy watching your videos! Thanks again for the new content ☺️
the outlast franchise is one of the most brutal compelling immersive games i have ever played and when gaming harry talks about it it’s even better
So excited to stream/Let's Play this, I never got a chance with the first two so going in blind will be awesomely spooky.
Been waiting for this!!! You are the best man!
love watching ur vids while I’m working!
Amazing video as always! I would love to see you do a video on the game "the chant"! It's a survival horror game with an interesting story but it may not be everyone's cup of tea

I cant Wait for more Outlast vids from you!
Your channel is amazing
It’s a wild theory but I think subject 8077 could be Knoth
The mention of Hong Kong makes wonder if we’ll see a game taking place there along with Murkoff’s influence everywhere else across the globe, and playing as victims who survived or died
Yay the documents are back
As much as I love the lore of Outlast, I was hoping for story progression of the recent events and not a prequel. But knowing the devs, I believe that the trials are necessary in order to give a grander perspective of whats going with the bigger picture.
Great channel, ❤
This game is promising to be surprisingly interesting unlike the past few years new releases. I've been following this game's updates closely after the closed beta and can't wait for more updates on the story and the new trials.
All my conspiracy cats , this outlast series drops so much gems that we know of it's crazy .
I loved playing the beta
I wish outlast trails was closer to outlast 1 and single player but I have hope and I’m excited
Thank you very much
as somebody who was part of the closed beta, i can confirm this game was great and i would def recommend picking it up when it comes out.
Not sure how relevant it is but the part of the brain that controls speak is known as Wernicke’s area after the German neurologist Carl Wernicke
The amygdala pronunciation 😂
Lmao right? Must be a brit thing.
Been waiting for this! Hope you're doing well Harry, still not sure how you haven't blown up yet (insert skeleton meme) 😂 but just keep the great content coming because you do a really great job man.
i wish i had friends that would play this whenever it gets fully released.
I’m down BandzupLD
@@yunrico-topic6420 I'll play with ya'll, we only got a few more days.
Hm from playing it i dunno how I feel less scary with more people lol I would always loop the main guy around the table as my team mates would just Finnish the map I hope they fix the looping because that made it to easy
Not so easy on hard difficulty with like 6 or 7 enemies
The term 'reagent' seems pretty apt. Granted it's a bit on the nose, but in essence they are being used to effect change, albeit on a societal level.
a minute in and my fucking mind is blown already
appreciate your in-depth videos so much
I think that radio tower in outlast 2 that might be the facility that it takes place or is place something new? I am looking forward to this game and we see more about how mount massive came to be in present day.
That sounds like a pretty good theory
I had a fing shock where you connected outlast 2 universe
Hey mate, what is the music track you used in the Post Therapy chapter? It's pretty cool.
Nice
7:51 could this be a reference to American politician George Wallace?
MAKE A VID ON THE GAME NOW ALL OF THE NEW INFO!!!!
Cant wait .... we still dont have a release date its crazy
You should make a video on shadow of war and mordor lorr
Interesting how the writers of the game are playing around with behavioral psychology.
Skinner was one of the first really big studiers of behavioral psychology that did experiments that could be scientifically repeated (something that obviously couldn’t be done with Freud). The problem was that Skinner, to my knowledge, never worked with a human test subject. So no wonder he believed all behavior came from external forces, which obviously isn’t accurate.
What some of these “projects” described in the game is known as Classical Conditioning (which is what was happening in the scene you described in A Clockwork Orange). A stimulus (violent films) is paired with a physiological sensation (drug to cause an ill feeling). Its theorized that if those two things are paired together enough times, eventually the drug won’t be necessary, and just seeing violence alone will be enough to cause an ill feeling. And there is A Lot of evidence to back this up, but its not fool proof, and conditioning can (and often does) wear off over time.
From what I’m understanding of the initial idea of project Lathe was an attempt at using Operant Conditioning, while the amygdala was in full activation mode. This is a really bad idea in practice. Operant Conditioning is what Skinner practiced- teaching a behavior through consistent rewards or punishments. Its still an extremely common method of training animals (and you can absolutely use it on humans, although there are ethical implications depending on what behaviors your using, or rewards/punishments). The problem is that the amygdala, when in full activation, often hijacks the brain and prevents connections being made between a behavior being performed, and then being rewarded or punished. The amygdala is usually what’s responsible for feelings of rage or terror. Nobody can think clearly while those emotions are going through their mind and body. All your doing is scrambling a person’s brain and impairing their cognitive functioning, emotional processing, and memory functions. Which, knowing Murkoff, was the point I’m sure.
Nice to take a walk down memory lane and relive the bread and butter of my psychology classes.
Can you do a Red Dead redemption full story explained?
I'm not sure how to feel about this game. the atmosphere and gameplay looks quite good. however, I do have a problem with live service games. I avoid them like the plague. I don't like the way they're structured, monetized, etc.. I guess we'll see how the full release is, because it's looking like another one that I'll write off.
Harry, is there any way to contact you?
I suddenly feel compelled to harm a snitch
When is it comming out?
Anyone know when we can pre order this? And can we even play on PS4?
yayyyyyyy
This just dus not look like my cup of tea but I may cop it when the game is on sail for like 20$ or if it goes free on ps+
I got it for 3 with dlc in the Halloween discount month
2:24 Isn't "thought reform" just a pretty way to say brainwashing?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How do you go from being a kids show host to THAT???
Don’t you guys hate when a game gets announced in 2019 and is set for release in 2021 and then delayed for another year (2022) for covid…. ONLY FOR THEM TO SAY FUCK YOU WE LIED IT’LL COME OUT WHENEVER
murkoff is one messed up corporation 😬
I can’t tell if this game is just a multiplayer game or Outlast 3
Op: paperclip is actually real. It actually has to do with events going on today irl
We want story mode!
Still think Return of the Obra Dinn would make a good video.
Early gang
Yes sir
Thanks for CZcams video and bigger fan

The HE in LATHE simply came from "THErapy".
Nope, a lathe is a tool used to assist with cutting.
Harry, give this a like once you've read this and I'll delete it (or delete it yourself). Amigdala is pronounced: (like hah! without the first h) Ah-mig-dah-lah. I struggled with it too, we're both readers. ☺
All the Outlasts were fantastic except for 2. I don't even acknowledge it 🤣
WHY!?!?!
it’s so good
I don't get the hate for 2 but ok
Huh 2 was good even more scarier and grittier then the first
Ok
I'm gonna skip trials and just wait for outlast 3. It doesn't seem scary at all and looks really repetitive with unnecessary puzzles.
Did you play the beta?

As someone who lives on a reservation in Arizona near Flagstaff, I'm very excited for this. ❤️❤️
