Dark Deception is a first-person horror maze story game. There's nowhere to hide and nowhere to catch your breath. Run or die is your choice. Trapped in nightmarish mazes with a mysterious woman, your only hope for survival is to find a way out of the darkness.

Can i say its refreshing to see a character use their powers in a cut scene, like its rare and when it happens i love it

I two! Abilities in torment teraphy ending and other cutscenes was so fresh!
@@Zavgar486The only part that bugs me is how the mascot chase ends. Bruhs so close to the portal that a simple teleport could’ve easily finished closing the distance, or even just a simple stun to escape the group . Two abilities that have been used in cutscenes prior suddenly do nothing, it feels more like plot induced stupidity than anything else especially since that nurse cutscene proves our character is a very quick thinker.

As for me, the most energetic escape is into an Stranger Sewers, Torment Therapy and Bearly Buried

The newer ones feels more like a thriller now instead of a horror game. Im not feeling the fear of getting caught by the monsters in the newer stages tbh
I remember first time playing this game. I was like: *NO MONKEY BAD MONKEY GET TF AWAY FROM ME AHHHHHHHHH* terrifying
Agatha's part was just aggravating too, adding a pseudo "boss fight" right there made no sense
To each their own irrational fear. I'll give you one thing though, but that mainly stems from a nigh-lack of bloodlust from the nightmares hunting you down.
Human-sized toy monkeys with sharp teeth and chainsaws for hands?
Hollowed toy Duckies with human legs and an extendable mouth to catch you with?
Gold Watchers, Agatha, even the Clowns, feed upon major fears AND add upon them by making them grotesque or unsettling to look at. All we got for the new chapter are nurses embodied by the sin of lust, children's play place mascots and a woman in her bear costume coupled with her grotesque baby bears.
Ntm, MC has all these powers now. Earlier then, you didn't have stun until Carnevil. You mostly had to run rather than fight (even during the boss fights, such as against Crazed Agatha in that enclosed gym space)
Probably because of the power-ups.

Honestly I liked the earlier versions of dark deception, something about its refined quality stands out to me unlike Torment Therapy where you literally heard no sound effects or music when the nurses chased you down and one of them climbing onto the ambulance and how cheesy the lines were
Torment therapy was disappointing asf. Worst escape sequence.
Exactly, the first three and the recent three are so different tbh. +Bearly Buried felt wasted to me, early design concepts that showed the creepy mama bear with teddies flowing out of her stomach were so cool.
Her vibe was ruined when they decided to make her big and have weird ass animations. Hopefully they keep the creepy aesthetic in the mannequins level and get rid of the big = scary idea
Just wait for the next update, they'll add something.
True, not to mention Telepathy was more useful during the release of Chapter 3 as it's already a spell you do not want to upgrade the most even when you deal with the ducks.
this chapter isnt supposed to be scary since malak isnt playing around anymore and doug is facing his guilt more than his fears
I felt a terrible anxiety and chill up my spine, and I imagine myself in the exhausts and I was too scared in Mascot Mayhem.
That knowledge that you can't beat him and that surpasses more than his gang, he was about to escape but he didn't make it. He was left alive at Malak's request to torment him on the mother bear level.

I love in Mascot Mayhem as the Joy Joy Gang beat you up like h3ll, you can just hear the jolly happy theme song. It killed me.

Torment therapy is probably the chapter with best boss and escape just because all the effort and teamwork they put and they didnt have malak help or advantage against the mortal besides monkey business
It was so easy and boring tho, there was no intensity and it seemed pretty goofy
