- Pokemon is already a creepy franchise, from Lavender Town to Creepy Pokedex Entries, However there also exists quite a few horror fan games, and today I'll be taking a gander at some, such as Lost Silver and Hypno's Lullaby! Will they be good? I dunno lol.

I believe that there's some sort of unwritten rule where, if you're making a Pokémon horror game, then you must have at least one mention of Lavender Town in there.
Or an fnf mod lol
Hell bell:
If you know you know
If not I will explain
so true beta claus
@@RydC_lmaoexplain
Lavender Town and Pokémon dying instead of fainting.
BtW you can beat Hypno’s Lullaby by literally just running away from the battle and the game just kinda turns back into Fire Red.
Capture hypno with a Pokeball works too
Except for Hypno having god stats and the starters being three children Oak lured to his lab, of course
lol that’s amazing
Free fire red rom!
Hypno's Lullaby does actually have a secret ending if you can run away from the initial Hypno fight (It's literally just the creator's FireRed save)
Additionally, the Lost Silver remake was a collab with the original copypasta writer and the guy who made the game, with the added parts being planned to be in the original creepypasta but cut due to length limit. They went off the radar before the story could be fully explained though.
9:04 "Lost Silver? What are you talking about he's right here!"
This pun kinda got me not gonna lie. Also, I would really like to see you go over Snow on Mt. Silver, it's a really good creepypasta.
Fun fact: RE:Lost silver has a easter egg where you can access other pokepasta's, including snow on Mt. Silver!
Don't think you can hide your title pun from me! Also, seeing Lost Silver mentioned here was a hell of a nostalgia trip!
i dont think that was intentional
I was hoping someone would get that lmao
Haha evolution
Evuwution :3
dwadfdsadfh
Hypno Lullaby was the scariest thing ever as a kid. Non stop looking up lore and creepy pasta videos. Glad it may a come back a few years ago
Toadbup you really remind me of SpaceHamster, and you really scratch the itch for that kind of content ever since he left.
Damn, I didn't even know that SpaceHamster left CZcams.
Watched him quite a lot back then.
epic
@@SwaggyG_2102 Neither did I. Sad to see him go.
At least PBG is still kicking.
Ah yes the Pokemon Adventures manga, where everyone tries to kill each other all the times using pokemons -or swords- in a kid-friendly franchise.
Still my guilt pleasure tho, Gold my belevoled hero 🙏
And in the Black and White mangas, Team Plasma crucify the Gym leaders
@@DakkaNah2619 And then in XY Team Flare either kidnap and throw then in prison or literally send some pokemon to kill the main characters
Lost silver is about the main character (Silver) being in purgatory, learning to accept his death after a long time denying it.
Hearing the Lavender Town's theme song has never been the same ever since it left an impact on the ears of Japanese children to the point of becoming an urban legend on the Internet today, spawning a lot of creepypastas and horror games that were inspired from it.
In the world of Pokemon horror games, you never catch 'em all. It catches you instead.
that’s fake you bozo
When I was little, I found Lavender Town's music calming. Now it gives me a mix of nostalgia and unsettled feelings
20:47 Actually the shopkeepers have already succumbed to the deterioration of the universe. It's called working retail
1:55 I think the thing with Burried Alive was like it would somehow replace the final trainer in the tower and it would use White Hand because of the person outside of the tower talking about a hand on your shoulder if you tell her ghosts aren’t real or something and then you have to lose to Burried Alive and when you do he’d say something about fresh meat and then he’d eat you or something and then somehow Burried Alive would replace your Gameboy’s boot screen so that trying to play any game would cause the game over screen to appear or something. Also I distinctly remember the original story claiming that the game over screen was stored as a png file despite A. The boot sector of a Gameboy not being able to hold that much data, and B. The Gameboy cannot display any regular file formats because it can only read 2BPP compressed graphics data.
I think the game over screen just bricked the cart, not the entire Gameboy. And it had some kind of insanity-causing anomaly that I don't think was just the Lavender Town music but I'm not totally sure.
You’re not a real pokemon fan unless you once believed that the lavender town music would kill you, common childhood event
Dude I was actually CONVINCED it would kill me
I remember when I was like 10 or something I went to my PC and played the song to see if I'll get a headache or something and was sad nothing happened
11:46 Ghetsis's Hydreigon also has a maxed out Frustration.
Can't imagine why.
Crazy to imagine I wasnt the only one to believe all the Lavender Town creepypastas
Easter Egg: Snow on Mt. Silver was my favorite creepy pasta as a kid. Although, Cursed Black was a second favorite. in fact, I love a lot of these Pokémon horror games. I just wish that most of them got completed and finished instead of cancelled
As someone who also watched CZcamsrs play creepypasta games on the internet at an age where I probably shouldn't have been... I approve of this video!
My personal favorite was Strangled Red, yeah its edgy af, but I love how it goes into the possible lore of a champion before Red or Garry/Blue though now I jokingly call it "A Dramatic Version Of A Failed Nuzlocke"
Snow On Mt.Silver is a close second but the creepy Pikachu kinda kills it
Another one I remember kinda liking was Blues Tears but looking back its so damn edgy (yeah most creepypastas were stupidly edgy)
FNF did get me back into pokepastas and I loved the take on Strangld Red and other pokepastas such as Mt.Silver and of course Lost Silver
as an FNF player, I can confirm, it's one of the best creepypasta mods ever, tho very hard when you don't turn off some features!
5:32 I know this isn't the point of the video but good god it's such a jumpscare seeing Wii Deleted You in the wild away from it's rather small fandom.
In 2014 these used to scared the fuck out when i was younger but now i dont get scared at them at all now and gives me nostalgia even
22:17 they should have made the game crash when you get the bad ending, that would be much more effective with the glitching theme
the brian griffin necklace was the true scary part of this entire video
Hypnos lullaby fnf is so special to me because of the huge nostalgia hit and the attention of detail to the songs and fights. Monochrome goes crazy hard and I definitely recommend you listen to it if you haven't
always love the new toadbup video bro is the best youtube ever
Oh boy
Time to watch this banger essay video thingy >:)
I would definitely love to see a part 2
The scariest part of this video is Toadbup's computer background.
14:13 I get the feeling you’re supposed to go down the first ending again, and red will do something other than use nightmare.
Wrong part
I checked out that Mack sectorguy you mentioned in the first game and he looks like he has some real talent, thanks for giving him a shout. I love it when big channels highlight smaller youtubers like that.
Thank god the Brian pendant is back
I just found this guy and now I can't stop watching
That Buried Alive game over screen gave me chills as a child.
L1 + △ on the Cubone.
i was horrified of buried alive as a kid, but i always ignored white hand
1:57 I just got to this part, but that white hand isnt entirely made up. There is a genuine line from a girl in lavender town, where if you tell her that you dont believe in ghosts, she says "Teehee! Of course! That white hand on your shoulder; It's not real." Which is really weird for a pokemon game, and was even included in the "let's go" remake
love your videos. keep up the good work!
you remind me of ant dude :D
I still don't know how little me wasn't afraid of what went on in the manga. Like how did I not freak out at the Abra being sliced in half, or the venom from Abra melting away at Pokémon??
A toadbup video about pokemon horror? Dont mind if I do
TOADBUP VIDEO???
YIPPPIE!!!
amazing video toadbup!
Would ya ever make a part two? Had hoped to see Pokemon Nightmare Invasion perhaps, though it seems to be a bit too forgotten. Shame
For the amount of views you get per vid, I think you deserve way more subs.
i sleeped well after escaping from lavender town. thanks!
“Lost Silver? What are you taking about, he’s right here!” *Proceeds to show a sprite of Gold*
Those shop keepers be like: no time to go insane when you’re working customer service
Man, cant believe you didnt talk about the GOAT, Uhcakip; 0 / 10 stars
[ great content as always, Mr.Bup ]
We desire more
Great video, but was saddened that Snow on Mt. Silver wasn’t mentioned.
thanks buptoad
NEW TOAD BUP VIDEO LITTERALLY PISSING MYSELF
GOD the nostalgia of Escape From Lavender Town, I probably would have played it around age 6-7, I was obsessed with creepypastas at the time, I didnt find them scary but OH MY GOD, actually playing one terrified me, to be honest, the shock did wear of after a while but I will forever remember that feeling of my heart sinking into my chest as the game re-booted when I pressed ESC
I have a purple shirt with the original ghost sprite on it from lavender town. Even as a kid, that sudden shift in tone made me uneasy hahah. But i loved it so much as a kid, i saw a shirt about it and bought it as an adult
Imagine playing escape from Lavender town on my computer that’s named TI 84 calculator
why does lavender town always get used as a scapegoat in pokepastas...
Song that creeped people out, a story about a mournful pokemon wearing parts of its mother's corpse, and a tower that contains literal ghosts that you can't even attack at first, that're mildly implied to be actually dead pokemon.
Yippee I love creepy pasta games
*Sees desktop icons for RotMG and Toontown Rewritten*
I think that's the scariest thing I've seen in this video!
0:25
The Pokémon bible looks great 😂
christmas came early!!!!!
I'll be completely honest, I saw some of these when I was really young and they seriously screwed me up. The original RBY Lavender Town music genuinely gives me flashbacks to when I was young and thought all of this could be real, and I kinda can't listen to it without some sort of filter or warning.
So I guess Lavender Town Syndrome is real, and I have it. Lol
8:48 - It IS really cool, another update is expected in the near future
.
Can I mention how weirdly uncomfortable hearing the Lavender Town music.
Like the town itself isn't really that creepy but the music that plays just creeps me out so badly
23:33 the game is still around but its now called lost forever
Lost Silver? Oh no…
*It’s no use!*
Spooky. And neat.
You mentioned it was November and that’s when Pokémon stuff happens I thought of vaporeon and lopunny
Just in time to have watching material for lunch.
The music from the first game always gave me a headache when I watched the headphone videos. I tested it three times to see if it was the video or me and it really gave me a headache every time.
Hypnos Lullaby is cannon on the advance timeline because the sevii island there is a kid kidnapped by a hypno
maidme think there was a cloaker near me irl lol with that outro
Many people started playing the games after watching the Anime, which was very much a kids show about cute harmless creatures, then you play the game and get to the creepiest city that is obsessed with death.
I think the Lavender Town music made all this possible. It is the scariest song I know.
Why would normal type moves hit gengar post foresight? does it turn them psychic?
0:11 Tell yourself that when you see a shiny Drifloon.
Also, it says "it is whispered", not "it is proven".
I used to think lavender town syndrome was real, since I got exposed to the pokemon creepypastas when I was very young.
White hand and buried alive also terrified me as a kid to the point I didnt want a Gameboy and copy of pokemon gen 1 anymore, this was way after they were able to be purchased via retail but weren’t as expensive as they are now. I thought they were also real and it terrified me.
the eyeless trainer is the main trainer of another pokemon creepypasta
What is up with games that summon creatures to aid you in battling enemies have their characters crucified at random
(PERSONA 3 and this)
Funny enough I only played resident evil because one of these pkmn horror games used the re2 save room music.
I'm so sorry for this, but when I saw the thumbnail, the first thing I thought of was that the colors of the ghost sprite looked like the bisexual pride flag.
I feel like PETAs version of Pokemon should have been qualified for this
The ROM hack version of Pokemon Creepy Black is a good one too as it follows the Pokepasta to a T.
Hypno may be my favorite Pokémon but I can agree on that one hypno is pretty messed up
Hey toadbub what do you think about the fnf Pokémon creepypasta mod I think its worth checking out
That deny thing kinda hurts actually because of my tendency to replace, deny
Shuckle mentioned
I feel bad for Hypno. Between the one episode in the anime, the scene in FireRed/LeafGreen, and the Pokedex entry in Generations 1-4, it basically became the series' boogeyman.
Just got a Pokémon ad ironically lol
In regards to Pokémon Cursed, every gym leader has multiple teams for different challengers depending on badges and skill level. That is my theory on why the mom best Ghost and the father.
read the title as “the horror of Pokémon evolution” and I was very confused
"Wouldn't you want to throw hands with Pokemon?"
Well, Legends Arceus has that. Throwing rocks and powder satchels less than punching them, but you can still fight the Pokemon directly. We need more of that though.
I can agree with this guy. I don't know how the Pokemon Adventures manga was rated A for all ages.
Even brilliant diamonds and shining pearls all drain away to black and white - fnf lost silver with lyrics
not every creepypasta has a mod. there was this creepypasta about pickachu in pokemon yellow. it was named melissa
Im late but spooker whew
I need something a little more my brain compacity *shows a creepy picture of a pokemon* now that’s more like it
9:04 (shows Gold/Ethan instead of the guy literally named Silver)
0/10 video
Raaah LAVENDER TOWN MENTIONED. yet again 😔
Did you forget that you can run away from hypno? If you do, you can save the girl, and continue the game as normal (get ready for koga)
I don’t know if Snakewood counts? I played Snakewood for a while, but it’s kinda bad. The concept is neat, but the level scaling is kinda bad. Like I’m one of the weirdos who likes to grind in Pokémon. However I was having difficulty keeping up. Maybe try it? I don’t know
Snakewood is the sticker star of pokemon hacks
Yeah it really is. Like if it was more balanced I’d play it a lot more, but I shouldn’t have to grind way more than I usually do to even keep up with everything.
the 2nd one isn't a creepypasta it's litterly a pokedex entry that is also a sidequest in the gen 1 gba remakes
