My Night to Morning Natural Hair Routine

Welcome back curlfriends! This video was highly requested so I recorded it because I love y'all. It's actually been ready for a week but my internet service was down unexpectedly so I was unable to upload it.
I say this in the video many times but my night and morning routine is truly very simple. This is what works for me, however, I encourage you to experiment and figure out what will make your evening and morning routine easy and as hassle free as possible.
Please note, this same routine DID NOT work for me when I was transitioning. If I put my hair in a pineapple and slept on it, I would wake up with nothing but straight ends that I couldn't get to curl unless I manipulated them in some way. Once my hair became completely curly, I was able to maintain my wash and go's for at least a week. Don't get discouraged if you're currently transitioning because it gets easier over time, I promise. Twistouts, braidouts, perm rod and flexi rod sets will be much easier to maintain as you transition and will be your go-to styles.

Thank you for this video. Nighttime prep and morning styling throughout the week is sooo important and overlooked. Is one thing to have a beautiful style on day one, but I need the help that night and the days that follow. Is easy to create a look on day one but maintaining is the hard part. So I thank you for sharing your tips helping the cause.🙂

I am so in awe of your hair. I have been trying to figure out how I can get more than 1 day out of my wash & go without having to wet it everyday. I wear a bonnet every night but when I wake up it is so flat and I didn't know what to do. I also use The Mane Choice products. The whole line is amazing. I just watched your video "The Perfect Wash N Go-The Mane Choice. Great results! I started using the styling gel for my twists outs and really like it. I've tried the 3-in-1 as a co-wash after deep conditioning and thought it was okay. I like it as a regular conditioner and am currently comparing it with another leave-in/de-tangler. I wanted to thank you for posting the link to your night/morning routine for your wash n go's because that's an area I still haven't gotten down yet. I have done the mini pineapples thinking I needed to because I thought my hair was short. Our length is similar so I am going to try your method and see how it works for me. You have very minimal frizz on day five! I'm going to see how your wash n go routine works on me.

Yes the haircare routine consist, in my opinion, of 2 things; 1. the products and the routine in which you use it and 2 the techniques. I would loveeeeee to see the products and the routine where you explain if .you deep condition, clarify etc and with which product and a seperate video on how you do that and apply the techniques

I have a very cottony/spongy texture, so nothing works for me, plus my hair is very prone to retangling. The time it takes to refresh is more time that it takes me to do my wng, plus it looks frizzier, and I don't like big frizzy hair, so I just redo my hair each morning.
+BklynBabe I totally understand. This technique won't work for everyone and I'm sure I'll be switching it up as my hair grows. You just have to do what works for you because only you know what's best for your hair :-)

+Raven Bullock I would get it shaped up/cut professionally. We all have different size curls/kinks/waves all throughout our head. Don't let that stress you or try to make them all uniform. That's normal.

this is am old video so you might not see but this always makes my hair fall right. turn on the shower with just got water and just stand in the bathroom with the door closed the steam will make your hair fall perfectly. I just shake my head around and tug with my fingers if absolutely necessary.

I love the shape of your hair, how is it cut?
+meredith king Thank you Meredith! My cut is called a devacut. It's a cutting technique, for curly hair, that is used to cut the hair curl-by-curl (in its dry, natural state) in order to effectively shape the hair. Look up "devacut" when you get a chance. :-)
It will probably fall down more easily when there's more length to it. Are you planning on growing it out more? :D
