Generation Zero. Welcome to 1980's Sweden. The local population has disappeared, and hostile machines roam the streets fight off the hostile machines solo or with a team, scavenge for weapons and loot in the fight to survive and find out what or who caused all of this.

I've gotten two without breaking a sweat:
The day after the event where you could first get the gun had ended, a random dude joined my game. He was using an exp. KVM 59, and I said: "Hey! Nice gun, man!", and then he just dropped a spare one that he had, right at my feet. The second one I got one from a lvl. 3 FNIX Hunter rival. Easy, right?
The 5* Älgstudsare was the gun that eluded me the longest in GZ. It took me 190 hours to collect every 5* and 6* weapon.
as of now I have 300 hours in the game and max level and I haven’t gotten a single experimental to be honest makes me kind of mad unless you meant 190 on top of your game hours
@@booper7468 190 hours is what I have played until now, in total. I just recently got the 5* Älgstudsare, which had eluded me for the longest time.
It probably took me less than 100 hours to collect every experimental for both my characters + extra ones that I have given away to strangers. :)

This is possibly the only weapon that is potentially more dangerous than the user, mops the floor with any gang of runners or hunters.

I miss the Kpist with overdrive and the KVM on my list.
I should pick that up. I've been getting ambushed by what I call rival escorts. Had one tank, I kid you not, with 20+ runners around it! They came out of the woods while I was trying to lure the tank to the field.
Oh man i knkw your pain iv had that a few times it sucks!
That's the times when I pull out the grenades or AT mines or the GRG and just leg it while trying to draw the escorts away into choke points or clusters that can be dealt with at half a dozen at a time.
Or just start yeeting sticky flares on the big robots to make the escorts take it out instead of chasing me.
Kinda reminds me of thunderlord from destiny.

I know this is a year and a half old video but, Do you remember where you got your extended mag? I've heard they drop from the Apocalypse Tanks, but I'm curious If I should just farm those or wait for them to become level 4 rivals to increase my chances.
Definitely just go after tanks bud 👍 the drop rate for everything seems pretty good at the moment so it shouldn't take too long
Got a 3 star from a hunter, so I'm praying for a tank to drop one.
I got this gun from a rival hunter I love the gun to bits I don't go close because the lightning will bounce off the robots and hit your character

Yeah same! Lvl 4 FNIX tank on guerrilla difficulty.
They need to add a option to protect stuff you value. There was a couple of RPGs that had that for weapons, gear and attachments. Earlier today I was grinding who know what but was sleepy at the same time. Ended up recycling an experimental Atgv4...ok never seen another player have one so I was kinda pissed but entirely mu
It was entirely my fault so...still. would be nice to have the option to protect some gear.

Hey WIRED GAMING, I was wondering if you need the FNIX rising dlc to get the experimental? I have been grinding all lvl rivals in the HIMFJALL islands and still no experimental machine gun.

@@WIREDGAMING I follow your tactics on flipping to guerrilla just before the kill, but is there confirmation that the higher difficulty actually improves drop rates? Is this published somewhere or do you know through all your testing (which could be statistical support)? Thanks

Hey fella cheers for the vid! Couple of qq’s; I’m a level 12 and tend to play with 3 others. Mostly only have green or blue weapons. Is that the reason why it takes A LOT longer to kill the tanks and harvesters than it took you, or is it something to do with the last update? Also you mentioned some kind of event, are these exp weapons only available for a limited time? Thanks in advance bud! 👍🏻

And yeah once youve got some gold or exp weapons youll see a big difference in the damage you do!
And the exp are now in the loot pools but you have to be over level 25 and kill rival machines to get them!

Hey mate I’m kinda new, me and a friend started playing not too long ago. We got to the first mission board in the bunker, but I just was wondering if you could give me some tips?
Just take your time with the story and exploring so you level up and get a nice chunk of loot behind you!

I love this weapon.❤ But I've just been getting repeats. On every other experimental when farming for itOn every other experimental when farming for it. 😑
so to create rivals i have to let a certain enemy live correct? such as if i get into a fight with a group i should let the tank live so it has a chance of becoming a rival? or is there some other way
You dont have to let an enemy live, it will still create a rival, but if you want a certain machine to become a rival then try not to destroy that machine
and rn u can get the dlc for 43% off and t just got it (ends on 12.09.2021)

I just farmed machines bud and got it on adrop from a tank i think. You can find lower level ones around himjfall
I found the suppressor for ut but its grey on the original island so i think you can find it anywhere
Can you still get experimental drops. I had read that since a patch players chances of obtaining them had decreased significantly.
You can still get them bud the latest update has made it a bit easier to get them before it was ball ache!
Hey! Do you know or have a way to get the experimental Hammer? I’ve been really wanting to get it. Also I found my problem with the crafting thing, I didn’t realize that they made a new crafting bench. I’ve been using the apparel crafting bench the whole time lol.
Best way to get it is to go after the reaper mate!

You don't need a DLC you just need to be over level 25
Why aren't rivals respawning on the mainland or Himfjall? I am on level 30 on Xbox one and I have finished the main game. not Alpine DLC and now just finishing a few missions.

I got Alpine unrest just to farm apoc rivals. I've been playing for well over a year and I have all the experimentals. But I still don't have this beast of a gun. I heard reapers drop this too, does this gun even exist anymore lol? Or is it just my terrible luck

Got an Apocalypse tank to level 4 and killed it got nothing but a desert military jacket... they need to fix this shitty rng I mean come the fuck on I didn't even get one gun I mean I rather get a duplicate than a shitty ass military jacket that I'm never gonna use I mean Jesus the shitty rng really boils my blood.

Hey man sorry to hear that i think the devs are aware of this issue anx are working on it as a few people have had the same problem.
I heard of that problem, you can actually drop your equipment in the loot of dead enemies. There was a whole post about it on the Facebook page. Watch your buttons carefully.

Can you switch to guerrilla difficulty at the last minuite when the tank's almost dead? Or does the whole battle have to be on guerrilla difficulty?
I switch before fighting but im actually not sure i dont see why it wouldn't work 🤔

You can kill it at level 1 but for a better chance at experimentals i upgrade all my rivals to 4

Just get it from machines mate if you have the himjfall dlc theres one in the main town inside the police station i think

Yeah pretty much as the rival sytem turns the machines that have already spawned into rivals.

So just farming Rivals is the best way to get Experimental Weapons?
it is the only way, or if you have the time and firepower you can farm threat level for the reaper machine to spawn he has a better chance for experimental weapons, but make sure you destroy him before he offs himself and the loot from him will be worsen
Has anyone had any luck with getting this thing after they added it as a perma drop. I kid you not ive gone through about 16 reapers and still haven't seen it.

Kill Apocalypse Machines since they have the most odds of dropping good loot
I've killed over 50 rivals and tanks and I still haven't found any weapon at all. I'm at level 28 and I've never found any kind of weapon on any rivals including harvesters or tanks. Idk why but I think my game might be glitched or something.

Yep kill about 27 on guerilla still nothing. It sucks cause I've unlocked the exo suit but still no level 5 or exp weapons.
I got 4 FNIX harvesters but they are around level 4 FNIX hunter rivals

I have been farming for ages and I can’t get a single rival to spawn. Yes I’m past level 25 and I have one of my regions to level 20 almost but still no rivals.
Ah thats not good i had the same issue and i just quit to the main menu then went back in and carried on and after a while got a few rival spawns
Do you need to be on guerilla difficulty and is their a level requirement?
Difficulty doesnt really matter you just have a better chance of getting it with higher difficulty and you need to be above level 25

So still fairly new to generation zero and am trying to get some experimental weapons and am not finding any really good advis3 for trying to get them (or at least anything posted on CZcams less than 10 months ago) frankly it's proving very annoying don't know if they are limited time event weapons or anything really id anyone could leave a helpful insitful comment please do
Firstly make sure you're over level 25 or you wont get any drops then try and go for level 4 rivals, i normally try to stick to FNIX and apocalypse tanks and harvesters

Some random guy dropped me the gun he wanted nothing in return but I just gave 154 full metal jacket 50.cal

@@WIREDGAMING I also found a hunter that would not die and also not shoot you but when you shoot at him the game will constantly give you 5000 points saying escaped combat I went up to level 27 before the host had to disconnect well beggars can't be choosers

The original you can get from tanks i think bud but the experamental one was only for the anniversary event
There is a mission in Himjfall that gets you are tier 1 lgm
Why did he make the difficulty harder while fighting the rival it doesn’t make a difference more rivals spawn on harder difficulty but that’s all he already had the rival spawned
I did it not long after rivals was introduced and there was a rumour that higher difficulty granted higher rewards, turns out that isn't true haha

@@officialvaultboy8242 Dont bother because you cant kill him without one and dont say you can. He self destructs before you can take the kill shot so no loot, or less loot and the time it takes to kill him, you are wasting time when you can just spam kill the same lvl4 rival and reload the save and repeat.
