BEST PLACE TO BUY A NEW AIR CONDITIONER - ebay.us/GFIOYi
*So amazingly quiet and **Fastly.Cool** in my room! 42db is at a whisper level. I bought 2 and installed myself.Very sturdy bracket and easy to adjust to fit windows of different size. Absolutely fabulous units!!*
Except they don't get installed in windows. This is a mini split and you're talking about a window unit.

Love it when I find Aussie how to vids. No endless rambling just straight to the point, no nonsense, here's how it done. Thanks Nick. You're a legend bloke.
Lg inverted v
What an enormous help this was! I feel much more confident about taking care of that myself. Thank you so much!

Thanks for that, that was very informative. I'm currently experiencing the same issue at the moment. Mine is a similar model to this; a Daikin FTXS25BVMA split system. We had it installed just over fourteen years ago and have had plenty of use out of it since then, and I think that this would be the first time we've had to fix this since then.
A Big thank you. I have seen many videos to resolve leaking problem but all videos are very very confusing. your video really helped us to resolve the all leaking problem and how to fix and clear the blockages . Great...
What the heck man!!! You saved me. Turn out some rustry plate was blocking the drainage pipe. Thank you my man!!!
Thanks mate - been trying to get the original A/C guy in for 18 months... watched your video, found the crimped drain line (faulty install) and fixed it... A+!!
This was incredibly helpful and I managed to revolve my issue thanks to your effort here. Much appreciated.
An awesome video bud. Thank you for uploading something very useful for many out there.
Daaym son had that whole ac ripped apart serviced and hooked back up in just 6 minutes!! Thats impressive.
That'll be $200 kthx
Hello! I just wish to give an enormous thumbs up for the good video information you will have right here on this post. I can be coming back to your video for extra soon.
Champion! My model was different, and I didn't do the drain hose bit - but hopefully removing the mouse's corpse has fixed the issue! Xxx
So where exactly did you find the mouse?

😳
This started dripping a lot of water while using the cold air.. I was told to turn on the heat for 15 minutes.. then power off an hour. No more leak.. worked like a charm.
lol
@@MrMethadrine um it worked.. the guy who told me installed some of the first heat pumps genius
Thank you for this. It helped a lot in the middle of the night when my unit suddenly started leaking.
Nice to learn something here. I have vacuum and never used when cleaning my AC. I 'm just using a metal string to poke the drainage. :D
Thank you for the video! Very informative. When using only the heater mode, my spit unit is leaking water from the drip pan on the outside unit and is ruining my concrete patio. I can't seem to locate a "second" drain tube and appears the leak may be from mositure building on the coils. Would you be able to advise on how I can save my patio from this leak?
thank you so much this is very helpful, am learning ac now so what your video is so helpful.
Nick, thanks this gave me the info to get my air working again
God bless you - this was so hard to find - thank you
I have the exact same one in the vid here in the living room. I heard this "tap...tap.....tap" so went to see wtf that was and it was dripping from the bottom left of the unit, onto a 4-gang electric socket underneath and music equipment 🙈
So I started removing the 4 screws with the 4th one on the black section on the right. I noticed the red wires when I started to lift off the cover - red usually means live so I put the cover back on and left it because it's not my house.
Thanks for the precious tips.
No leak anymore
Thank you very much Nick🙏giving me excellent idea on how to unclog the drainage of AC👍
easy to understand and follow thankyou Nick
THANK YOU, I learned how to resolve the same problem on my unit.
Nice video Nick, so when I pulled my unit apart I found that a mouse has bitten through both sides of the pipe, how do you replace it?
Extremely wonderful I watched then tried really worked
worked. thanks.
Top service engineer 👊👊👊
Very good vid! Thank you!!
Thank you Nick!
It helps me alot THANKS...
Bloody simple & helpful. Thanks!
Simpler to do it from the other side of the wall.
@@darcy100190 What do you mean? How?
You my good sir are a life saver
thank you I will have to try this
Hey, if my unit leaks at the centre and the left corner??
thanks, it almost worked, but when i took the cover off, there was no srews underneath to get to the hose, gonna try from the other end of drain hose
Note: Safety first!!!! Turn off the breaker for the unit or switch off or unplug. Do not run anything like the vacuum hose along the aluminium fins as it will damage them. Use a hose with a brush at the end with long bristles as this will help remove the dirt and not damage the exchange unit, up and down with the fins is best. Also do not overtighten the tape so as it will kink the pipe as this will lead to leaks, this is not a water pressure pipe so does not need it. Some units have the electrics coming to the front panel so if you are not familiar with electrics get an expert in. To clean the outside pipe well it is best to run a fresh water hose to the external side of the pipe and run the water which will flush out any contaminants.
If you do not have a vacum cleaner, what other dirt remover can you use?
To the point! Thank you.
excellent video , thanks !
Thanks...Seemed to do the trick....would have been easier for me to just go outside and fix the clog there as I have different model than the demo one, but its working now.
How would you do it from the other side?
@@gavilar5425 use vacuum on the outside drain pipe
it this works on carrier models?
How to setting properly remote control in what mode cool or in auto sumsong inverter 1hp split type
just fixed mine ....thanks
Is this similar to an actron air con?
Thanks you very much sir......
What part did you vacuum at the end?
Excelent Video Thanks
mine is making the clicking sound .
only wenThe compressor kicks in as it's an invertor type.
This can't be the fan it sounds like the gas chamber is expanding and pushing against the cover
ohh and its a new carrier type so very disappointed may out of warranty and i live on philippines warranty means nothing .
but please if you no what makes the noise please help .
Thanks
By the way, can I use blower on the big hose-the one going out? My Rainbow vacuum has blower feature, can use that instead? Or is vacuuming is better?
you don't want to blow stuff back into the unit. Only blow out the hose leading to the outside receptacle for the water
you share very well❤❤❤
Thank you
Thanks I will try this. Spent my whole day deep cleaning the coils hoping the leak is resolved, but so frustrated it still leaks. Thanks for this video. By the way- what is the cause of this leak on the first place? Why leaks are sudden? I mean my AC is all good until one night, lots of droplets!
onzkicg Problems with clogged drains are caused by the accumulation of dirt that has gone past the filters onto the coil. Dirt then runs off with the condensate and accumulates in the drain pan then into the drain tubing. The filters may need to be cleaned more often.
What should the temperature be at the output? Mine is 16 degrees celsius. Is this normal?
Thanks for the video =)
ok...from argentina.. thank you... chau
Thank you so much
what type of tape did you use ? you video is incomplete did not clean the blower wheel
how to open a EuropAce aircon though?
ARE you using a simple vacum cleaner or a specific one suitable for liquids? I own a simple dust vacum cleaner not good for liquids.
GenoaMagiclilla I use mouth. Just don't get gunk in mouth.
Despite all this till inside water leaking after 8 hrs i put temp 21 c could this b reason due condensation??
so super
it worked.. thanks so much
relax! dont rush!!
THANK YOU, I've been wondering how to resolve the same issue on my unit.
How to fix condensation can explain please?
Asif Bhaiji what’s the issue? Watch the video
thanks it worked :)
Thanks !
THANKS,
NOW I KNOW HOW TO....
I need to do this now but after opening the unit I'm not certain which one is the drainage tube. The tube in front is smaller and white and the larger tube with the grey foam is behind. I'm super afraid to undo the wrong thing so any help to clearly ID the drainage tube would be most helpful.
good info
Good explanation. However more often than not it is not (just) a clogged hose. Below the evaporator on the front there is a drain pan catching the condensed water. The drain pan runs along the full length of the evaporator and that is were the drain hose is connected to. The drain pan might be clogged as well or the hole in the connection to the hose. Once you think you found it and solved it, there is also a drain pan on the BACK of the evaporator against the wall or wall mounting. This one can clog up as well, and you'll see water dripping from the back of the unit. This back drain pan is impossible to clean without major disassembly of the indoor unit.
Thx for the info, do you know if there is a Video for cleaning the back drain pan
Your reply would be greatly appreciated
@@sinhhua6454 The front drain pan is easy and does not need an explanation. If you have the indoor unit opened you see the drain pan and you understand how to clean it. I never managed to clean the rear drain pan. I even doubt if it can be done without disassembling the evaporator. Which looks very hard. So yes, for the rear drain pan a good video would be very useful.
What if you just vacuumed from the outside drain hose?
how can you remove/clean the drain pan for this particular model? our Daikin unit doesn't have a removable drain pan hence difficult to clean thoroughly.
i have a “comfee “ unit. is there a trick to getting the drain pan clipped back in place? i’m not sure if i broke it when i wiggled it out
What if your air con is on an internal wall and the drain pipe is inside the wall?. I cannot see to get to it
Thanks for the video unfortunately i am not able to remove the casing of my General split unit? can you help???
I noticed SWEATING Issue at my Children's Room FCU(Fan Coil Unit).
It is a "System 2 Split Unit, that serve Master Room(which is nearer to the condenser Unit) & Children's Room(which is slightly FURTHER away from Condenser Unit).
Could this be caused by DIRTY CONDENSER UNIT?
I had just attempted a STEAM Cleaning on the Condenser Coil(outsides)...But yet to check the outcome(will observe it tonight when it's in operation).
Don't forget to isolate / turn of power first , those wires on the right hand side are live . There was also no need to clear the drain this way too much work , other comments have hit the spot .
Glenn De Jong DIY is scarey
worked for me.thanks, bro
When removing outer cover, I had wiring connected on far right.
i too
better to remove the drain tray and clean properly to make it sure no back job
I want to replace two Ariston 2-3kW high wall indoor units (R22) and am told by Ariston that they have discontinued selling AC. They were obviously bought in and just badged Ariston, but they (Ariston) have been thoroughly uncooperative in supplying any further information. Has anyone got any ideas how I can solve the problem and or who the makers were? All I really need is new PC boards with switches and indicator light for one of them I think? I am a long retired installer. Many thanks to anyone who can help.
I miss this job
I wonder what could substitute for a wet vacuum
What to do if dont have that type of vacuum, how to clean it
Osm sir
My indoor unit temperature is blinking and automatically turns off.
I replaced the drain pipe & re-fixed the covers, but Outer unit is not working. Is there any hidden switch which is not in contact by re-fixing ?
did the cleaning and about 2 months later does it again any suggestions?
Yes I like it and this is what I am looking for. If not diy, it will cost some unnecessary Money
May split ac is PEARL EMPEROR brand.. And my problems is water leakage,, i dont know which one inside is the tube? What should i do..? Looking forward to your reply.
It's typically the biggest tube
@@EmanDeMoan its small one..its fixed already.... Tnx for the info.
is about time all aircon manufacturer put in a colour label, showing the position, of the a/c cover clip
why does it get a blockage? esp if the filters look clean
it worked ty
nice
We got to the part where you prize it off the wall....but ours simply WON'T BUDGE...and we're far too scared to try harder....and we can't afford a plumber to come look at it...so it looks like the leaking onto the floor or our lounge will only be stopped by not using the unit or paying $$$ for a plumber to fix....unscrewed all front screws, nada.....so disappointed....but huge thumbs up for the clear and to the point vid....ours is a Fujutsu AR-RY3 unit...
hey guys i have a daiken split and need to stop the beeping sound for the aircon as it wakes my daughter up, if i open the plastic will i see the control panel? can the speaker be unsoldered or taped over to muffle the sound?
Andrew Boot Are you from outside the USA? I have a Daikin and don’t have any beeping unless I use my remote to change something. Don’t know about Oher than models sold in America.
yeah mate im from Australia, i found the small circuit board and de-soldered the little speaker, Its now quiet :)
