For those who like information about Dimas' songs:
Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboardist, who we see in the video that accompanies Dimash.
    Hugs from Brazil!

There simply is no one like Dimash. What a treasure he is. A beautiful light of music and hope. Nothing pretensious. Authentic genius. Everyone has their favorite...but all is excellent.
Giving flowers is tradiional as it used to be in the old days of America. Its high end skill and a more sophisticated perspective. Thats ok. Dimash is not your commercial fare. But this Dear does not go a day without listening to him. He lifts me out of the dark. If you like dark...there is his most recent video. Check it out. Hes a vampire. But really a good one. Dimash is a beautiful thing and I feel strengthened and nurture by his light. He has enough of an edge to keep it interesting. But he has healthy
    boundaries.
Vocally he is without peer. The scope and range held with resonant quality and hubrus in affectation. He is a genuine artist . But like Bach...not mentally verbose. Dimash is a happy soul who loves and cares deeply. He has a dark side and many of the same stresses we all face. Hes had heartache and loss. But hes strong enough to endure in a healthy way. His family is the nest Dimash came out from. A different world that the dysnfunctional west. Plus the unreal world of music and stage with his parents. A dream world of beauty and a close knit supportive community.
I think Dimmash is a Divine gift. I am thankful. 🙏

👉Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash (Russian language). Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏
Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship.
... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes.
The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song.
    *Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть/ SInful Passion (pronounced: Greshnaya Strust) - czcams.com/video/CN9fHwhna_M/video.html
The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating", “goat's trill” or „Trillo caprino/ little goat“ used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East. In Iran called this technique „tahrir“
In 17th-century Italy, 'trillo' referred to the so-called 'Monteverdi trill' or bleat, a tremolo-like repetition of a single pitch. Singing these trills was frowned upon.

I think this performance is fascinating in that it shows how much Dimash’s skill level is beyond any other singer and the different techniques, tones, and dynamics he has been able to master and how he seamlessly weaves them all together into an aural tour de force. That being said, I get that a casual listener may not understand exactly how difficult it is to do what he is doing and the song itself might not grab them immediately. Considering your channel name and your reaction history, you might enjoy Dimash’s most recent MV, “When I’ve Got You,” much more.

📌Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Koo-deye-bear-ghen)
Dimash Qudaibergen (Dinmukhammed Qanatuly Qudaibergen) was born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. He is 1.91 m (6.3 ft) tall.
Dimash is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, video director, screenwriter and entrepreneur who has received the title of Honored Worker of Kazakhstan (2019), People's Artist of Kazakhstan (2023) and many other significant awards around the world.
Dimash Qudaibergen was very fortunate to be born into musical 'royalty'. Grandfather was a professional dombra player, grandmother was a teacher and sang. His mother Svetlana Aitbayeva has a classical education (not opera singer). His father, Kanat Aitbayev, is also a singer, songwriter and producer. His parents are known throughout the country and are “Honored Music Artists of Kazakhstan”. Both have been seen on the big stages and on television in Kazakhstan for many years.
    * Listen: czcams.com/video/p71ot1uRZLQ/video.html
According to Kazakh tradition, Dimash grew up with his grandparents. He calls them mom and dad and for a long time thought his parents were brother and sister-in-law. They all live together in one house.
Dimash said: "Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life."
Dimash wasn't a child prodigy, but he always wanted to be a musician and grew up surrounded by music. As a young boy (2 years old) he would often sit in the audience at his parents' performances and run onto the stage when they bowed at the end, and he did the same. While other children drew cars or princesses, Dimash drew a music studio and the instruments.
    * Interview with Dimash Kid for local studio 2006 - czcams.com/video/lTjHW_IHTSM/video.html
In his childhood, Dimash trained in taekwondo. He achieves his enormous lung capacity through targeted swimming and diving training, he dribbles very well with a football - czcams.com/video/kt_lokOZLWw/video.html and because his dears are important to him, he even takes additional dance lessons. Dimash's role models include Lara Fabian, Pavarotti, Igor Krutoy, Andrea Bocelli, Celin Dion, Queen and most importantly Michael Jackson.
He has been making music since he was 5 years old and has a perfect pitch. He has university degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music and jazz with a major in singing. Dimash also completed a musical master class on Broadway and has a master's degree with a concentration in composition. He completed his studies with honors. He has composed 19 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. So we will soon call him Dr. Phil Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃
Dimash did not fit into the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was heavily criticized. Even his singing teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (interview with his first singing teacher - czcams.com/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/video.html ... but Dimash was undeterred.
As a child he performed at concerts and took part in various competitions. In 2012, Dimasch won the Grand Prix of Kazakh young singers “Schas Kanat” (“Young Wings”). In the same year he received first prize in the Ukrainian TV competition “Vostochnyi Bazaar” (Oriental Market), and a year later he won first place in the Kyrgyz international festival “Making Asia”. In 2015, Dimasch won the Grand Prize of the Belarusian music festival “Slavyansky Bazaar” (Slavic Market) - a milestone in the young singer's career.
The career jump to global megastar came in January 2017 after his participation in the Chinese singing competition “The Singer”.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of an engagement at the National Opera in Astana (capital of Kazakhstan) because he wanted to go his own way. He created his own genre: neo-classical combined with classical, folklore and other styles like pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We lay people say “Popera”. Dimash not only sings in all genres, in some of his own compositions he brilliantly combines a wide variety of genres and styles and never ceases to amaze us dears. Dimash cannot be pigeonholed. 😃
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. His father founded the company "DimashAli" with a friend (his son's name is Ali).
In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone, not only in China. His first album was certified 1x platinum in 37 seconds, 3x platinum in 47 minutes and 5x platinum in one day.
He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today, Dimash is his country's "cultural ambassador" and a "national treasure" (no official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash says dancing is difficult for him. But he moves great on stage and his hands speak. He is a grandios and sensitive story teller. Dimash trains his voice 3 hours every day...but he says: "You don't have to know how hard I've worked, you just have to enjoy the results."
In professional circles, Dimash is considered a lyrical baritone with a typically wide range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano.
His current pitch range is G0 - D8 (outside the piano), 7,7 octaves! At least the Dimash shows us so far. 😃
    * Video about his vocal range: czcams.com/video/7mo_MJbGSjw/video.html
Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities, from bass to coloratura soprano, are difficult to classify. They are not only limited to the enormous range of over seven octaves and the mixture of all musical genres, but it is also the incredible command of his voice and the ability to touch people emotionally and surprise them again and again. Such skills are very rare and can only be acquired, maintained and perfected through relentless and never-ending training.
    „DIMASH-SHOW. INSPIRATION” Dokumentary - czcams.com/video/MLZzOPZ2KWE/video.html
Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink iced drinks and he doesn't like socks. He loves fire and water on stage, of course only as stage sets. 🤣
A dear once gave him knee pads, but Dimash says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃
Dimash is a very handsome, attractive man and is on the list of the most handsome men in the world. He is a popular model all over the world. The best designers in the world court him and are inspired by his music. He doesn't just wear her creations on stage.
Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He gives a lot of his time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does it quietly. We Dears only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it.
Dimash is a megastar. He has the largest active fan base in the world, over 10 million Dears in fan clubs in 142 countries, women and men aged 9 to 90 around the world. (documented)… and at least millions and millions Dears who are not organized in the fan clubs. (In an interview his Dears were estimated at two billion.)
“DIMASH SHOW. UNIVERSE OF DEARS” Documentary - czcams.com/video/4SexPGqVWtc/video.html
Dimash calls us "Dears" because we are just as important and dear to him as his own family. The fan clubs are not like those of other artists. They don't just cheer for Dimash. They return Dimash's love and emulate him. They strive for good manners and help people who are not doing well or they are committed to the environment. The Dears do their part to make the world a better place. This connects Dimash and his dears around the world.
What can't he do? Oops, he can't cook! 😃 Did I forget something? Oh yeah! He sings all the time, all day! He sings because he has to, it's his life.
Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, nourish your soul or blow you out of your chair. Handkerchiefs are always recommended, even for metalheads! Be careful and hold on tight when Dimash pulls out the left earbud! Meet Dimash, his singing, his diversity, his development, his human size, his humility, his love for his dears.
A dear commented: "Dimash deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless promotion of world peace for peoples around the world." One can only agree!
    * FULL SPEECH AT FORUM IN ASTANA (2022) - czcams.com/video/2C55a3mvfPI/video.html
Please NEVER react to The World's Best videos!
For TV viewers, the songs are terribly mangled and edited together. Most Dears boycott the videos because they know the backstory: Dimash left the show before the finale and his assured victory, turning down a record deal and $1 million in prize money. In his culture, adults do not compete with children. The organizers lied to him when he signed the contract and later humiliated him. Eyewitnesses here: czcams.com/video/XQgCJBnRvVk/video.html
(K or Q? - Dimash was first known in Russia and China. There is no Q in the Russian alphabet (Cyrillic script) or in Chinese hieroglyphs. Now he is known worldwide and his name is written with Q in Latin script. Kazakhstan is also in the process of switching to the Latin alphabet. So both are correct, in countries with Cyrillic script: Kudaibergen, in all countries with latin alphabet: Qudaibergen.)
There are good, great, excellent singers and there is DIMASH!

Next time you can react to another of his signature songs and you´ll see why:
    * Dimash - Love is like a dream (Alla Pugacheva) czcams.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/video.html
This is a cover of Sinful Passion originally by A´Studio. The bass and the piano players were part of that band and the second was one of the songwiters. In this video yo´ll see for the first time that tall bold man standing in the crowd: 7:51 That´s the composer and piano player Igor Krutoy who will become his art director inmediately after
6:36 the greeting/farewell to the spirits inherited from Turkic/Tengrenist traditions in certain muslim tribes in the ancient Turan to pay homage to the ancestors and spirits of nature. In Spanish I know it as "hammering vibrato" or "glottal vibrato". In Iran I heard they call it "che-che". It is not yodeling but an ethnic technique relative to yodeling but needs more control on the notes you sing than in yodeling.
3:50 SO DIFFICULT songs that make the singers cry - 2 (ENG SUBS) czcams.com/video/x3EWBd-1S5k/video.html
Why this for you? A few asian comentators said that in this song Dimash recreated the mith of Orpheus and Eurydice en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orpheus_and_Eurydice
He descends to the Infernus to rescue his love but insteade of the lyre he´s got his voice. That is reinforced by the greeting to the spirits he uses in the song
Would the last long riff be a lamentation for his loved one being taken back to the Hades?

Too bad you didn’t react to the video from his channel. There you could see his little humble speech after the performance with subtitles in English and many other languages. He has a fan base in around 140 different countries. And everyone wants to understand what he says.
The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way. Like I said, it's a cultural thing.
These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome.
23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. It’s unbelievable.
He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest.
This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If you like some really great fancam versions then I recommend the one from the Moscow concert: czcams.com/video/uxLhwfFFUQs/video.html
Or another one from the Arnau concert: czcams.com/video/YJElGH2hquw/video.html

@@MikeMacabre 👻Some BTWs. 1. I can confidently predict Dimash's WIGY will score 125 skulls 🤯(I explain why below). 2. Your top two playlists by quantity are Elvis and Trailers. Below I have corresponding suggestions: a 2 minute long Elvis song and a 17 second teaser trailer.
Why 125 skulls, and why am I confident? Because it'll not merely blow your mind 🤯but your brain🤯and skull too🤯. So it'll be 5 raised to the power of three, right? And the confidence is because it already happened to me, so my calculation is carried out by the pieces of my brain scattered around me, and, more to the point, their dead brain cells. So Dunning Kruger says I must be right, right?
Imo the most interesting cover ever, by far, nothing comes close, of Can't Help Falling In Love, is one by Diana Ankudinova when she was 18. Her performance of it at a singing round (9 singers each take turns singing, with the other 8 acting as judges) is only 2 minutes long (due to the round's format), but there's a reason why one of the other singers/judges suggested she was simultaneously a truly stunning singer -- and a demon.
Finally there's Dimash's current 17 second long trailer (teaser) for an upcoming song titled Smoke. Should you decide to view it I suggest you do so _after_ reacting to WIGY so you have a better idea of what to (not) expect (namely it's utterly impossible to guess, even with the trailer, because it's Dimash, but the mind definitely boggles 🤯).

As much as I like some aspects of Russian culture, Dimash is not one of them. I was falling asleep listening to this song. I heard his last song on here and he does have a good range (male version of Nina Hagen...don't freak people!), but this doesn't do it for me.

      Hey!😊
This was very, VERY formal performance. You should see Dimash in concert! Lots of energy, dancing, interaction, banter with the crowd.
Did you watch "When I've Got You" music video? You might like that one, a lot of his fans are afraid of it! They think he has gone to the Evil Dark Side. I'm serious! Sad really. They think Vampires are Real devils! What do you think? Are Vampires real?
