- I love to experiment with everyday objects and try to make something beautiful out of them. In this woodturning project, I used colorful drinking straws, clear resin and walnut wood to create an interesting piece.

Definitely need to see this with a light inside it!
Yeah I agree maybe a similar one larger as a lampshade
a black light would make all the straws glow.
Came here to say this ... I sat here the whole time simply expecting that it was going to be a lamp. LOL
@@quillclock that would be amazing, how hard is it to make it look like a mushroom?
I also believe there is uv reacting powder you can mix into your resin. Stick a black light inside it and watch it glow.
I think that would be great as a lamp...maybe for a children's room or a college dorm.
My thought exactly.
Was about to comment the same thing
Or my bong basement
Yes that’s what I was thinking because I’m a total wanker as well as you
I thought it was going to be a lamp I was disappointed at the end. :(
Was expecting a mess due to resin not sticking to the plastic straws but then got served a gorgeous piece ❤️
It amazes me that you incorporate the most ridiculous and bizarre things into these projects...and they come out looking INCREDIBLE! This is beautiful!
The thumbnail looks like a Minecraft bookshelf. Great finished product.
Damn right
Просто и очень красиво!!! Мастер Золотые руки!!! 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌
Pretty original concept, well executed, gorgeous result. Love the pattern!
A flesh light isn't that original
That's one interesting concept. Love the walnut against the multi coloured straws. Thanks for sharing, cheers John
Really one of the most imaginative and colorful pieces I've seen. Thanks for sharing that with us!
That's nice. Would never have guessed that was drinking straws.
I adore this piece! The colors are so bright and pop against the wood. They remind me of "Lite-Brite" pegs from when I was a kid. Gorgeous! Do you sell any of your work?
I was thinking the same thing, that it reminded me of my old Lite-Brite pegs LOL
u just brought back a memory I forgot I had omg
Very clever with great results. I agree with the others that it would make a great lamp.
I've got such fond memories of light-brite, the colors were so vivid to me when I was a kid and I'd stare at those things for hours. I always hated running out of the black paper backing, the holes from previous patterns ruined the effect lol. Damn that's good memory...
Oh my god I forgot about Lite Brites. I used to have one and I miss it 😂
Muito bonito, parabéns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Who knew straws, wood and resin and a dab hand could create a beautiful piece of art. Stunning.
I'm addicted to wood turning videos.
At first I thought there would be air trapped in the straws. I was so wrong. Great looking vase
Actually was curious about this but I still didn't get how the air bubbles were removed, might be stupidly simple but it is just eluding how it was done.
@@mayur619 I guess he put it in the pressure chamber as it's commonly done with resin to prevent air bubbles
That is killer looking! Im going to have to steal this idea and make a lamp!
Прекрасная работа мастера с хорошим умением владения навыками.
Looks like a vase full of Fruity Pebbles.
That is the most beautiful vase I’ve ever seen!
That's really cool. but I wonder how just straws and resin would look
Like this but without the wood
I hope you know i almost had a stroke trying to read your comment

Who knew straws would be so beautiful!

The imagination on this design just blows my mind! It’s awesome!😀👍🏼
Nice new cup.
Thats a lampshade right there brother! Good job and a bright idea!
these appeared in my recommended list now i’m addicted
i like how it kinda shines in a fancy way....pretty interesting well done
Every time I watch, I am amazed at what you come up with. Love it!
Nice vision of how the end product would be. I was not liking it at all until the oil/polish at the end. Wonderful craftsmanship!
Beautiful! Once again. 😻
I really like this. I love how you used straws to get colour into it. It so different and very pretty.
Excellent!
what a gorgeous result 👍
Loving this blokes work, who'd have thought of straws.
Queenslander.
This looks so cool. Love all the colors 😍
Wo ! Super cool !!! Very beautiful job !
È veramente splendido........ Complimenti!!!!
Sabrina 💖👍🏼👋🏼
Very interesting. When you put it together with the straws alternating, I would have thought that you would get a odd line where the straws were horizontal. That is thought provoking.
I was going to say it would make a great lamp, only to see that lots of others also thought so. Cheers
I LOVE how light reflects through the straws.
Two more & you'd have awesome shades for a very retro tension pole lamp! :)
That came out terrific
OMG! What a vision to come up with that!
absolutely beautiful! it sort of reminds me of a Lite Brite. i'm sure it's even better when it catches the light.
WOW.......JUST........WOW!!!!!
This piece reminds me of my childhood with the Lite-Brite toys... I love it!
Big like!👍👍👍👍👍✅💪Felicitări! Great video 👍
Use it to hold straws. : ) Awesome job.
Wow. This video just made me smile 😊. Great work
That’s the best example of wood turning I’ve seen. Well done!
These videos keep popping up on my CZcams recommendations, and I feel like you guys should rename the hobby to resin turning.
So cool, clever and unique. Beautiful. Love it.
Very beautiful result from such a simple assembly of components. I personally think making a lamp with a light in the middle of base to shine thru the base/straws would have been incredibly cool.
That is so cool. I wonder if putting fairy lights in it would light it up.
So clever and very beautiful.
That's definitely better than recycling them! The effect the straws give is brilliant.
Anybody else get excited when its time to polish?
That's pretty stunning for something so basic to start!
Instantly a fan
Fantastic!! love watching other turners and woodworkers.
It always astounds me how these turn out .. so amazing
Wow amazing !!!!!!! 😘👍♥️⭐⭐⭐
First saw what you were doing and said noway is that gonna work but it did!! Wow!! Awesome job! Way Cool!
Love that whimsy.
Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing
Very very beatiful the best congratulations
Fantastic looking vase. I sometime wonder how
people think of things like that to turn. Great job and thanks for sharing.
It's amazing! So beautiful! I would definitely decorate my house with a vase like that.
Thats actually a fascinating way to add a little color, because most wood projects are just brown.
A lovely idea, the result is beautiful!
Beautiful work.fanrastic.wow what an idea.
Extraordinario, felicitaciones!!!
Very beautiful & artistic. Nice.
That looks awesome! I really do need to get some resin to play with!
This is terrific! What a great piece! Thanks for sharing this! Pam
You do Beautiful Work🌟
What a great idea, make a bigger one and use it as a hanging light shade.
Let’s call it “An ode to turtles”
*Michael Reeves wants to know your location*
@@discount_doom_slayer117 Michael Reeves is coming to take all our straws to give to the turtles.... What a kind little crack head.
Such an awesome imagination to even think of making this. It’s beautiful! It really is, love it! Thank you 😊🙏
Sorprendente, me hubiera gustado dedicarme a este trabajo.
Вот фантазия у человека!!! Так классно получается!!!👍👍👍
Very talented !!!! I'd love to be able put that togeather myself ... VERY UNIQUE
Would be great as a vase or lamp in my apartment! Reminds me of jellybeans!
Those saws are sweet. I found an old one in a yard sale and restored it. Its so nice and I think its Swedish but could be wrong. This is the first time seeing one on utube
Красиво!
Оригинально!
Так держать!
I Really Love Your Work 🥳
Very cool design. Resin enables so many unique ideas.
All I can say is Wow! I was wondering where you were going with this. It turned out beautiful.
That thing is frickin awesome 🤘🏻
Wow. That is GORGEOUS!
Fun idea, and it turned out really pretty!
Great stuff, I agree with homeyshlitz about the lamp idea but even without light it´s a welcome change from all the pencil creations out there. Beautiful colors with the walnut. Cheers from Sweden!
Nice you are always thinking outside of the box nice work👍👍😀
That is so very pretty
