    Ty my man you can just tell his whole mental is a bit off. Claude is a nutter but he does have a point and I feel he embodies the fans a hell of a lot more. If Ny other coach didn't win a trophy for 9 years I'm sure you'd hear about it a lot more just saying arsenal as a whole just needs to shape up really over it now . I'm almost hesitant and embarrassed to say I go for arsenal

      If you're happy with the mediocrity that Wenger is bringing into the club mate then YOU can fuck off. Wenger has won us 1 trophy in 9 years and people like you still kiss his ass. A TRUE Arsenal fan would be willing to question the appalling things that are happening at the club atm and it IS embarrassing.

      Listen mate I'm arsenal through and through I've been supporting This club since I was a kid through thick and thin. I cried like a baby when we lost CL final. I've stood up for arsenal with mates strangers and rival fans. It's gone so far now it's killing me, I said I felt ALMOST embarrassed when somone starts giving me shit about how poor arsenal have been over the past decade I have to unload all these shitty excuses I have to be on the defensive about a club I love. I didn't say I was embarrassed and even if I was though it's how the club has been run 3-3 an anderlecht is an embarrassment Swansea embarrassing look at last year against top 4 clubs embarrassment champions league performances over the past 10 years woeful perennial 4th place finishes embarrassing our defence yep you guessed it our signings tactics ticket prices the fact we have to include the community shield on our cv is a jokE . If arsenal was my mrs I would be embarrassed doesn't mean I shouldn't be with her. How the fuck am I making foreign fans look bad ? Have you spent over 5000 grand to go see an arsenal game I doubt iT. What your not allowed to go for arsenal cause your not from North London . t. Get off it. If that was the case arsenal would be a much different club today. The prem lives off foreign investment and support. Grow up take a step back look at the whole situation. Arsenal are declining every year it hurts the true fans more, fair weather fans wouldn't even be watching this video or evoke emotion for such a frustrating organisation. If your looking for fair weather fans go a little west and give Chelsea a visit. I know what fans your talking about but believe me when arsenal are pathetic over the past 10 years it filters out the fair weather fans. Who else would stand behind a club get up at 4 am to catch games fly for 13 hours . You don't have the slightest clue.

    Ty on the other hand thinks hes positive but I would say hes delusional and though i think hes in the right place, i think hes the kind of fan that holds this club back. It's Wenger's fault. He has the biggest influence in the club. It's his fault that he let Vermaelen go without signing back up. If you had doubts about signing someone else, then why let him go in the first place? Also, every year Arsenal are outmuscled and concede goals from headers and set pieces. Wenger has to work on his defensive training more. If he is, he's doing a horrible job so far. I agree Wenger doesn't get most of the blame, but he gets most of it. And if there's one team that can complain about injuries its United. 39 injuries this season.

It is Wenger's fault 100% that a squad like Arsenal does not have the necessary strength in depth given its known injury record. #Goonertillidie

    1. TY has no culture of discussion whatsoever. Typical for a zealot who happens to be wrong.
    2. With respect to Claude, he really does not even start touching the subject. Starting the season with such an inadequate squad gave the team a licence to fail and it shows. Wenger does not want to have a competitive team, simply because he would then be judged against the top managers and fail miserably.
    3. Robbie gives WAY too much time to TY when compared. The thing is that he does not really say anything.

  • @samisidhik
    @samisidhik Před 9 lety +4

    Claude was spot on about how our lack of squad depth is the cause of our downfall. I agree that its not that we only lost 2 games, our performance this whole season so far has been subpar. We should have kept Jenko and loaned out Bellerin. We should have replaced Vermaelen and got a CDM. It is Wenger's fault that we're in this predicament because of our squad depth. Injuries are just bad luck mostly, however, the only way to offset our injuries (god knows we have them every season) would have been to have a full quality squad. People complain that our players are not showing enough passion, which i agree but then again that is what a good manager is paid to do- Bring the best out in players! Do i think Wenger should go? - yes but not now. We need to find a good replacement first, we don't want to pull a United.

    The fact that Montero was skinning Chambers for 80 minutes creating chance after chance and wenger didnt make a change shows to me that wenger has lost it. That on top of playing players out of position, poor transfers, lack of ambition and flawed training techniques resulting in highest injuries in prem is why he must go.

  • @chrisjames1905
    @chrisjames1905 Před 9 lety +28

    Chelsea have got Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta and Luis. After that they’ve got Ake who has made 4 appearances in all competitions, and Zouma who has made 1 Premier League appearance. They sold a centre-back in the summer, and didn’t replace him. They also let Ashley Cole leave. People simply perceive that their squad has balance because they’re winning and haven’t had any injuries.
    Selling Vermaelen has turned out to be a brilliant decision because he looks to be in danger of being completely finished.
    What I don’t agree with is loaning Jenkinson out. If Arsenal had Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Jenkinson, Chambers and Monreal they would actually have more depth than Chelsea. Whether their first-choice defence would be as good is another matter, but in terms of depth they would definitely be better off.

      finally someone with some common sense, i have been saying this for ages. Releasing Jenkinson is a mistake ONLY because Wenger seems very unwilling to trust Bellerin and Hayden. Hector Bellerin has a much higher ceiling than Jenkinson and is much better than Jenkinson when he was 19.

    • @londonshaf
      @londonshaf Před 9 lety

      i agree with the Jenkinson thing but our issue is player for player they have a better back line with maybe the fact id have Koss over Terry right now. Then again JT's leadership is what we are missing at the back not to mention they're organisation.

      IMO it's down to management. Jenkinson wouldn't have gotten a look in or made a difference if he stayed, he's getting game time know to improve when it is his time. But Chambers is a CB who we could use for know till Kos returns and Bellerin till Debuchy returns but he just won't play them.

      we can still attract the likes of Ozil and Sanchez. Before Wenger came such players were beyond Arsenal's reach. Sanchez said himself that Wenger was a huge reason for him coming to Arsenal. Even Messi said working under Wenger is on his bucket list. We can't draw players with money, because Chelsea, City and United have more money. Am not saying we can't compete with them, but we have to slowly build teams like Dortmund, and Athletico to challenge, and who better to bring through youngsters than La professor himself. Am sure we will sort it out. ozil to come back, can't wait to see him combine with sanchez.

      If you think about it Arsenal play, in a league where three teams have significantly better financial resources than them. Feeling that we are entitled to anything better than fourth is delusional. Fourth is far better than what Arsenal's average league position was over the years, before Wenger came in. In the end of the day against clubs who can pay 300,000 pounds a week to players, we are always the underdogs.

      Listen dude i`m 24 years old and Arsene is all i know. I am a fan since maybe 2001/02 season and i`m as some of the older fans like to call us spoiled cuz of the success in the glory years of Henry,Vieira,Pires,Lljungberg,Bergkamp but that was 10 years ago and i am still here still following Arsenal even after the 8-2 vs man unt and the games vs chelsea and pool last season ...And i`m following not for the wins of trophies but for the beautiful football that Arsenal plays,the quick technical football with lots of attacking and not so much defending. But in the last few years Arsenal is nowhere near that,we have some of the quickest players in the league and yet we never use counter attack,we just pass the ball in an endless cycle until someone make a mistake and thats it ...and there is only one man in Arsenal and thats Arsene Wenger who can be blamed for that. Over the years he makes the same mistakes over and over again and i think its time someone to step in and let him go ... The man has done great things for Arsenal and he sighnt Henry so i will always love him for that but he lost his quality and thats obvious for everyone .. he is just not in the same league as the other top managers in the league!

    • @Alex123491996
      @Alex123491996 Před 9 lety +1

      anirban das Think about it this way: look at the Wenger era and pretend it's put into a line graph, from the point of his appointment to now, The line would go up right to the top in his first years, then after the invincibles, the line is just collapsing, going down every year, we are getting worse and worse. With the invincibles team, we should have easily won the Champions league, EASILY, that was one of the best if not THE best sides english football has ever seen, the fact that we didn't take the opportunity to win champions league in them glory days, will haunt me forever.
      Nowadays, Wenger's tactics are dead, and you cannot argue that he is clueless when when it comes to tactics. Just look at his defensive team selection against Swansea, let's break it down, what are Swansea attackingly? Fast, agile wingers, big powerful strikers ie Bony, Gomis. What defensive line did we put up? Chambers at Right back, don't get me wrong, Chambers is a great great prospect and an extremely good player for his age, however, he is more suited centrally, due to his good height and he is indeed not particularly fast, so against a player like Montero (Who was also man of the match *hint hint*) Chambers will have a nightmare. Moving on, Mertesacker, nothing wrong with that selection, got no comment on that. Now, Monreal, now, this was a huge problem playing him at CB, i don't blame the lad, it's not his fault for playing out of position, however, if you were Wenger, would you REALLY play a tiny spainiard like Monreal against Bony, who is on of the most physical strikers in the league? There is no way Wenger should have got away with that. And the last is Gibbs who i have no issues with, in fact he is one of the very few players this season that haven't done wrong.
      Now, we can all agree, that the most suitable lineup that game would be: Bellerin, Mertesacker, Chambers, Gibbs. Right? No explanations needed, Bellerin is rapid and can deal with fast wingers, better than Chambers anyway, Chambers moved to CB, Tall, strong, more suited there. Don't think there are any doubts about the lineup that should have been used, and people will agree, right? So if we, football fans know it, why doesn't Wenger?
      Ok one last thing, i realised i have gone on a bit, so one last point before i bore you to death, Wenger's tactical approach. Why, when we are in the lead, away at Swansea ( a very difficult place to play at), approximately 15 minutes to go until the whistle, are we all out attacking? This is where the equaliser came from, we were attacking with all units, I think there were 8 or 9 of our players around the opposition box, which is why we got counter attacked and punished, threw a very valueable lead away, And 2 minutes later, Wenger didn't learn and we got punished again, walked away with 0 points. Not to mention that Wenger won't make sups until about 75th/78th minutes every single match, which is ALSO why we get punished, a manager like Mourinho, when in a dangerous lead, will INSTANTLY make a substitution and put on a solid defensive midfielder such as Mikel and such, to sustain the lead. Wenger, when in a dangerous lead, puts on ATTACKING players... But wait there's another thing, we DON'T HAVE a defensive midfielder... We haven't had a proper one since GILBERTO SILVA, and no, Song was a more of a box to box than a proper defensive midfielder.
      3-3 vs Anderlecht, we were dominating, against a very average side at best, we somehow concede 2, WENGER BRINGS ON PODOLSKI AND ROSICKY!!! WHY! This is what i mean when i said he is tactically retarded.

    No top team constantly looks to the ref to decide games, their players do and at the moment Arsenal only have one player who can potentially decide games in Alexis who must be frustrated with the fact he always give us a lead only for the team to hand the opposition a few goals e.g City, Anderlecht, Swansea, Hull etc..... I'm still behind Wenger, but just as last season, if we don't win anything I'll say he has to go.

    You want to look at stand alone games then sure, if a ref does this or that than we might not lose a game but that's an excuse for the short term, you want to keep winning games because the ref made the right choices or because we have have done the right things as a club?
    The overall problem is Arsenals fault not ref of other players

    Claude is right. Money spent on a bigger squad to cover all positions. Chelsea and Man City have done it, and we have the money to do it so Wenger's stubbornness to adapt is to blame. The argument that a big squad won't work coz quality players will miss out on games is rubbish. Chelsea will continue to be in contention well into the back end of the season in 3 competitions because their squad is the strongest in the league meaning they have players to cover positions to rest players in their first team e.g Mourinho can afford to rest Costa through the business end of the season when theyre playing 3 games a week because he has Remy or Drogba to cover. Simple. Wenger failed to do what was needed in the transfer season and cover key positions (another Centre back, another right or left back, CDM). Attack and flair can win games but defence throughout the season wins titles. Adams, Keown, Dixon, Bold. with Viera in front of them. That was spine of our great side of the late 90s and early 00s that were feared by everyone. This side has no spine and Wenger's to blame

    Claude is asking simple valid questions and the notion of blaming refs, bad calls and luck is tiresome.
    Wenger's sense of hubris is destroying the club, He refused to get defensive mids (arteta and flamini are done), lets get sven and lar bender. The center backs have no cover and the most annoying thing is that he simply refuses to rotate the squad. We should not forget for a moment our second striker was Sanogo! His tactics are the same and predictable and for Ty to simply gloss over this Inadequacies is simply delusional. We can't keep talking about how great wenger and Arsenal was 10 yrs ago, ffs leeds and liverpool were great to 40-20 yrs ago. What the fans are asking for is simply progress. The FA cup was good but we should be contenders for The league and Champions league.

    How do any of the fans know who's fault it is, we do not know what is going on behind the scenes with restrictions on wenger not being able to buy certain players, yes he bought sanchez, but maybe the board pushed him to buy sanchez and not strengthen up other areas of the pitch.

Look at Chelsea and the players they don't play, in the end of the day, those squad players will get their game time once the times right due to injuries and suspensions so why can't wenger just take that god damn risk?!

    As a Swansea Fan and someone who has close North London connections (my mother was born in Camden Town and my cousin is a steward at the Emirates!) I think I can see the arguments from both teams' perspectives. While clearly the Swans are having a very successful season so far and Gylfi Sighurdsson, Ashley Williams and Jefferson Montero especially are all playing very well, it is clear to me that Claude is correct. Arsene Wenger is too attack minded. Arsenal's strength over the decades has been their defence. You build from the back and go forward and not the other way around. I admire Ty's enthusiasm and support for Wenger under vert trying circumstances but defensive failings have cost Arsenal dear yet again. I too have admired Arsene Wenger for too long (the days of Thierry Henry and Bergkamp are long gone and that team's success was due in no small part to their defence).

Vermaelen didn't had enough chances to play and he had to go .. We didn't had those injuries in our first team squad as now !! Our defence is just like last season bac left wenger bought debuchy verma left wenger bought chambers and we all know chambers quality !!! Its just the circumstances which are going wrong ... We gooners must be together and stand behind wenger and the team !!! Gooners till we die ... COYG

    I think that Claude is too negative, we've only lost two games in the league while the Swansea defeat is unacceptable for a club like Arsenal sometimes it happens. City lost to west ham, united to Swansea at home, Liverpool to Newcastle. But Ty is completely deluded. If he wants to talk referring decisions then he should be talk about the ones that we got. But like Wenger he refuses to put blame on the players and that's why they don't Improve. If William doesn't play well at Chelsea then shurrle replaces him. But when Santi, a player I love and have huge respect for, plays 5 games in poor form podolski and Joel don't even get a chance. Maybe the reason we get injuries is because of Wengers reluctance to rotate the squad meaning nobody gets a rest.

    Yes it's Wengers fault! Wenger has stubbornly not addressed what we needed. Ever since he changed his bullshit philosophy of trying to replicate Barcelona, we have gone downhill. Since 2008 he had bought small, technical and creative players. This is ok but to only buy small players mainly for every position?!? In the toughest League in the world that does not make sense! We only have a handful of players that are over 6'0! The rest are lightweight. So, the saying "Arsenal always get bullied" is there for a reason. That is because teams have their powerful players and bully us. Since we do not have a Viera, Silva type of player anymore...we can not fight back! It's embarrassing that Wenger can not see it. This is why we have a TERRIBLE record against the top teams. Supporters like Ty are delusional. This team will not win the league. Chelsea will not drop 12 points, with us not guaranteed to drop anymore. We only make up the numbers of the Champions League. We needed players that are physically intimidating in the midfield and defence. Wenger has overrelied on players such as Arteta,Flamini, Metasacker, Giroud, Diaby, Carzorla, Monreal, Sanogo who are not good enough!!! We need players like Carvalho, Konkogbia, Wanyama, Ginter, Muititi etc for midfield! Players that will take charge and get stuck in!! This is another reason why we get so many injuries post 2008...our players are not physically STRONG ENOUGH to withstand a 50/50 tackle or collision. We need a strong, powerful, intimidating, commanding players in the back. Players like Varane, Camara, Bendimo, Martins Indi, Lescott etc. But Wenger keeps faith with a lanky liability and no defensive cover...go figure!!

    I have one name who I think will be the best to replace Wenger. Frank Rijkaard. Yes, most people may forget his contribution , but without him, Barcelona may not be as success as now. When he took charge in 2003, Barca has been without league tittle for 4 years. In 2005 Barca got the title and won champion league one year later. He found and transformed Iniesta and Messi from young talent to be great footballer. Xavi and Puyol initially was just a "good" player before Rijkaard came but soon become one of the best in the world. I think he is an excellent coach for club which is still in transition period like Barca 10 years ago and Arsenal nowadays.

  • @MillszAFC
    @MillszAFC Před 9 lety +1

    Do you know what I think is going to be the most obvious sign that Wenger could be the man to fix things? It's if he makes signings as soon as the window opens or if he waits till the end of January. There is nothing stopping Wenger signing players right now, only they wouldn't be able to move to AFC until the 1st of Jan. We are so desperate at the back that surely any sensible manager would have these signings completed in the next month and a half so they can join on the 1st of January. If he waits till the 31st then what more proof do we need that he is only keeping his job to help Kroenke build his fortune. A managet trying to compete doesn't wait until the last minute for cheaper deals. He acts fast and pays the money, like Mourinho did in bringing Matic back. Quick, decisive and paid much more than they sold him for, but they got the player they wanted and needed. Whereas Wenger will probably dilly dally and end up with someone who is a 4th choice centre back at best. Another Silvestre type signing. We will see.

We had no reason to sell either of them I had a bunch of fans slating me for saying that transfer window was crap and it's only now we're seeing the problems? I love Wenger, he is far and away the best manager we have ever had. That said, for two years everyone has seen and known that we were criminally short in defense and dmid, and in three transfer windows he has n yet addressed either adequately. One class dmid, and a class center half to back up and we would be beautiful. Being this short at back is inexcuseable, and it's not just injuries, it is criminal neglect in the transfer window.
