Milo is ON THE MOVE and has started crawling around!! Whenever I am cooking, I let him crawl around in the living room and explore all on his own, and he’s recently been crawling into the kitchen which is NO BUENO - especially when the oven is on or when I’m using knives on the counter! We are making necessary adjustments and ordered him a giant playpen so that he can be safe and secure in an enclosed area while still having room to crawl around. Make sure to stay to the end of the video to watch me put together the whole thing! More updates to come, but so far we are LOVING it, even though it’s very big in our NYC apartment and taking up almost all of our living space! 😅
Something I have really been enjoying is virtual doctor visits. It makes scheduling appointments so much easier and in the hecticness of life, it just works so well for me. I’ve been chatting with my doctor about some digestive issues that have been coming up now that I’m almost nine months (what?!) postpartum. As I’ve shared before, I’m trying to gain weight since I’m currently at my lowest weight from breastfeeding. More details coming soon, but I’ve actually started the weaning journey!
We celebrated my birthday (+ Allie’s, obviously) at my in-laws’! They have the best outdoor space and I love spending time out there in the summer as much as possible. We had so much cake, so much good food, and an all-around amazing time with our family! I really think that your 30s is the time to solidify your life-long habits, and I’m READY to put all of these good habits into practice for the long-term (meditation, journaling, fitness, etc.). I’m entering a new chapter of life - the time is now. The moment is here!!

This is serendipity: I bought the trial kit of the @Aveda Invati Advanced™range about a month ago. I have 3a/b very curly hair that needed a bit of TLC from anemia weakening and loss. An Aveda advisor recommended I try the Invati Advanced line rather than the BeCurly range (which I also adore). So I bought the trial kit, not sure what the outcome would be. Holy moly! Lightweight yet luscious, healing and strengthening without weighing down my curls. Bouncy, lush, and just healthy looking!
The hair and scalp mask... I'm hesitant to call anything "holy grail" as needs do change but this has become a vital step in my hair repair journey. To fellow curly-haired Fink fans: I didn't need loads of product each time to achieve it either; be proportionate and it works wonderfully. On my first day of using these products, I had an insane number of lovely compliments from folks at my office. Colleagues could have sworn I'd been for an expensive hair treatment appointment the evening before, the coils looked THAT well cared for. Safe to say, I'm stocking up on the full sizes ASAP!

I guess you can say that you're a first time mom (more than a "new mom") :) Taking care of yourself is so crucial, glad you point it out! . As a mom of 3, I am happy to tell you that your youtube videos are one of the way I take care of myself and fill my own cup ! I admit that I never leave my babies until I go back to work... when they're 2 years old :D Turning 30 was the moment I realised I had so many possibilities to arrange my life as I wished it to be. It was the door to freedom and happiness! Now that I am 36, I can't wait to see what my 40s will sound like. Take good care, Love to you all !

My baby started army crawling at 10 months only. He’s one year old and still mostly crawls on his belly
Another tip, don't put your hair in a turbin using a towel as it rips the hair where your baby hairs are. My hair is longer/different colour but similar in waviness and thickness/thinness and it made the biggest difference and my hair is growing back in the same area and I use vegan, locally made shampoo and conditioner bars. My scalp line looks like it did back in highschool!! I swear by it. If you want put your hair in a turbin, apparently it's better to use microfleece towels or silk. But I just won't ever do it now.

A family friend of ours also doesn't have a gallbladder and she's really skinny and petite, I think she doesn't eat that much but then also doesn't seem to really absorb what she eats??

Are you two different in that one of you has dry hair and greasy skin and the other one has greasy hair and dry skin?
It's funny hearing you say your a young mom at 30. I have 4 kids and I was 31 when I had my last one and at that point I was like no more babies for me I'm too old to be having babies. In my generation most of us had babies in our 20's so hearing that I was like 30 isn't really a young mom at all lol.
I'll be 36 soon and still no kids, I still don't feel ready and may never. Times really have changed! Lucie having a baby at 29 seems young to me.
My co worker is pregnant and she's 35 and they consider her high risk because of her age so it's not even really just personal opinions about age and pregnancy it's more about how our bodies change as we age and what the risks are as we get older
