As a veteran Jamaican coach, I admire John Akii-Bua whenever I look back at his world-rated performance at the 1972 Olympics....Running out of lane#1 where the corners are sharp, and having to contend with centrifugal force acting upon his body from the inside(when negotiating these sharp corners), his time of 47.82 could have been the equivalent of 47.00, if he had got a better lane!....This brings me to ask: Why was he given such a bad lane after posting the best time in the semi-finals? Rest in power, world's greatest ever 400m hurdler...May you reincarnate to continue your mission!

In memory of John Akill Bua I hope a stadium will be build by right skilled people not cow boy builders who damaged Lira road to Kampala which is rubbish .John AkillBua deserves a good lasting stadium. It doesn't mean that if you are given a grant it is a must we should use the same people to build the stadium. We should have the grant from Chinese but look around for better skilled values for money otherwise we risk having it built again within a year. We should have Ugandan from Lira involve working together with the company or country building John Akill Bua Olympic stadium. In this way, we provides local employment and enhanced local skills as most countries do.

3:43 that needs correcting. Not 7 kilometer dress.
