  • We are taking the best parts of technology and craftsmanship.
We often show you our large scale 3D-printers, but today, 👀 a little insight into the glassing of the hollow 3D-printed core with fiberglass and a 50% bio-based resin, with a final hot coat to make it shine.

I see so many problems with this. No support behind the glass, air expansion and contraction in each cell, etc., etc.
But I love innovation and R&D. This was definitely worth the try!

Niice!! How do they ride compared to a non 3d printed board?

But how do you get the first layer of glass on?

He showed you in the vid. He laid the glass onto the form and then squeegeed the resin on. Some resin drips through - no big deal.

Elle doit être très légère, mais si on fait ne serait-ce qu’un petit trou, elle se remplit d’eau ?

Did you soak the first layer of glass in water and lay it on?

Soak it in water!? No! Water would stop the glass wetting out with resin. He lays the glass on dry and then squeegees the resin into the glass. Some drips through. That’s OK. It’s all there in the video.

And where is the preservation of nature, which is the surfer's soul? Using polluting material to manufacture the boards. Make it out of wood from dead trees and it will look fantastic. ALOHA 🤙
