you're wrong, he's wrong, freedom without education and knowledge is chaos, Templars want to control people and their mind, theyre no the good guy, would you like to be controlled to what to think and what to do? I don't think so
Exactly. The Assassins want Freedom, the Templars want Order. Freedom without Order is chaos, and Order without Freedom is tyranny. Both need to be in balance.@@requiescatinpace9215
As a fellow adult going through adulthood, I can attest that Haytham was NOT right. As cool as this speech is, remember the person who is saying it. At this point in the story, Haytham is a bitter and dillisusioned man who leads a group of Templars in this game that really look down on the common people, calling them sheep and really having no faith in their ability of self-determination. He, Lee and Pitcairn are all about how "the sheep need a shephard" and "better we hold the strings than another" as examples of this mindset. Even Templars like Church, Biddle and Hickey are mostly just selfish hedonists who are in it for themselves. Connor and the Assassins in this period may not be "right" or have all the answers, but at least they don't pretend to. And that easily makes them more endearing and sympathetic in my eyes, at least.
Possibly the best setting for an AC game. America was the star that was born because we achieved peace through a free system for a time that worked far more fairly than expected.
Think you missed the point here. The founding fathers made it sound more democratic than it truly was but really it was to continue profiteering without the taxation of the crown. Instead the taxes went to them...
@levii4146 Before then, there were no Declaration of Rights, only monarchies, and the Founding Father's explicitly showed how they wanted to differ from their old roots (Britain)
@@j-dawg4774well, it's just like Haytham said, they might have wrapped it in noble words or even sometimes decisions, but in the end those decisions would only benefit the white masters. Not the natives who have been constantly pushed further inland, not the black slaves (obviously), not the latino people of Mexico, which ended up losing a war against USA and giving up Texas, not Asian immigrants in their ghettos, not even the presumably white Irish or Italian immigrants.

"Freedom is peace."
Edward would have appreciated that line.
It's nice to see haytham constantly talk shit.
"(Freedom) is an invitation to chaos."
This has stuck with me ever since.
"THE ONE PEACE! THE ONE PEACE IS REAL! "
Idk why, just the first thing that came to my head
LoL I get it man.
Adulthood is when you realize Haytham was actually right
Adulthood is when you realize that neither extreme brings peace, and that it comes through balance of the two
you're wrong, he's wrong, freedom without education and knowledge is chaos, Templars want to control people and their mind, theyre no the good guy, would you like to be controlled to what to think and what to do? I don't think so
only in something. not about that order bs.
But yes, United states were made as conspiracy of few people that were freemasons to get more power.
Exactly.
The Assassins want Freedom, the Templars want Order.
Freedom without Order is chaos, and Order without Freedom is tyranny.
Both need to be in balance.@@requiescatinpace9215
