Not your usual Zombie film. It is quite slow, but truly excellent. Virtually the entire film is sustained by a single character, a 'tour do force' by any standard. What a brilliant actor. Why is he not more well known? A truly talented, even great, actor. Thanks.
This amazing guy is also working as a doctor, which might explain why he isn't acting more.

How he reacted to the family who got attacked in the beginning is just off, something off with this character, or maybe the director fault.

I absolutely LOVE how they made the zombies in this film, their quiet like the actual dead and the teeth chomps and feet clutter is just flat out creepy. They need to make zombies like these more often
That mother in the beginning got her family killed by trying to operate as she did in the old world. Had she just jumped into the backseat with her daughter and locked the door, and not tried to sit up front with her husband, they would have survived that encounter.

I was more concerned at the possibility of his being attacked by fellow survivors than zombies. He made so much noise in the beginning.

Well in the first 5 minutes the music was so loud you couldn't hear the conversations. At least he didn't have to learn a lot of lines.

Great movie, more about the consequences of emotional distancing from reality due to being alone. But had a great story line and enough tense moments in it.
The ending was left open, definitely deserves a sequel and maybe more action in the next one.

Why are people in movies like this behaving like idiots? Leaving doors wide open, making a lot of noise, dont carry their weapons with them etc.
Because the movie would be a lot shorter otherwise. I've gotten to where I consider movies in which people pick up weapons or reload an automatic 5 ☆'s.
Just watching now . Never heard of the film and it just popped up in my feed . I love zombies and this is a different spin . It’s interesting watching different people behave differently in this situation

Good movie….however I would imagine that under those circumstances people might want to get hold of a radio device in order to desperately find some news of what is happening and whether there is something to hope for.
This movie is slow, and focuses on feelings and his mental decline. Normal people would focus on water , food, and communicating with others. Seeking others and adding food and water should be primary, not making sounds and screaming at the zombies, hoping his apartment isn't breached while he screams. It's hard to watch. If this was indicative of our civilization, humanity is doomed.
Maybe because this is a movie and not a zombie apocalypse survival guide?
Slow and focuses on feelings.. yikes 😬 😳 which I doubt it's about a guy who has created a life in a building all by himself while the world collapses around him and views it from the balcony.. it's about survival certainly nothing to do with feelings.. but your great thoughts on the film almost had me pass it by.. but I struggled on and it's a powerful film about a life..

Am right surprised about this movie, because it was wide about my expectations and played out in a way that the script not follows that of so many other zombie/horror/blood-movies. It’s so hard to let go and fight the own demons, it feels like the world is ending. But like at the end of this movie, a new world awaits you, maybe against all expectations. I enjoyed it. A scary comfortable zombie movie

this movie is almost a replica of a zombie movie i watched few years ago called Alive. Only diff was Alive was based in Asia (china or similar) where as this movie is based in France. same concept... man alone in a tall block of flats, zombies attacking everyone. shows you how he too kept himself amusied.
I kinda wonder if there will ever be a movie where an introvert is the one stuck in solitude instead of an extrovert.

In the beginning, why didn't the husband quietly drive to the front of his building instead of sitting there and honking the horn so his family had to run across the street, wasting time? People need to learn to think every tiny detail through so when they go to do something it's logical and efficient.

It's a good movie however there is absolutely nothing about where it came from or how it started ,nothing, he just wakes up and the world is gone only infected everywhere

I feel like im the only one who watches hes every zombie movie good or bad and listens to audio books about it at work the whole time day dreaming it will happen one day so I could just live. Get out of the daily grind. Without all the bs and just survive while protecting my ppl and fighting off raiders and the undead or infected lol

Great movie if you like zombie survival films..i give it 7/10 only because some things are not explained in anyway,like the way he makes music from household objects,not sure what thats about,and the ending should not have ended there..did he survive or did he have to go through all that again in a different building..
Obvious he would have to and he will eventually die like everyone else c he escaped so many times but that won't be permanent
Unless he can find a community of survivors.

With the exception of seeking out the cat, he could get a pass. Like why risk your life come on now! You are inside low key with some supplies, make do, secure yourself and try to survive!

It is confusing.
I see two options.
1. He died eventually as he swung across and hit the wall, but dreamed he made it to the roof.
2. The near roofs represent new possibilities and hope compared to his isolated apartment block where there was no future anymore.

Either he meets a being that has ascended (the light angel), or he himself ascends into the being or becomes like the being.
Either way, he moves beyond the human plane of existence.
