Usually in whatever university u are in there will be internship opportunities and all. If you are in any way connected to software (Electrical engineering, computer eng/sci) make a git hub page. Also look at job requirements THEMSELVES and see the skills they require. Learn them and make a trial github project. At junior level u will almost have to do internships to start yes.... And remember keep it relevant, things like "tutoring" can be seen as bloat after a certain point. Minimalism is the key. Good luck for your prospects.
