The video was filmed in March 2024, on a sunny day. The gorillas were happy to go out and play in the yard. There was a little drizzle at times, but it didn’t seem to bother the gorillas as they enjoyed the sunshine.

Yes I hope they can as well. I have hopes and prayers that zoos in Japan can work with zoos in the states or other countries to maintain these beautiful animals with the partners they need to succeed with future troops. Gorillas are amazing animals and deserve the best we can provide for them

I don’t understand how you see them suffering in the video? Is it suffering just because there aren’t female gorillas? In this video, all the gorillas are leisurely enjoying their time, and I often think they’re more comfortable than us humans. If you say not having females around is suffering, the problem is there aren’t as many female gorillas nearby. If you can provide females for them to form families, then go ahead and do it. Actions speak louder than words
