      @@GalgormHall As a youngster in the 70’s and 80’s I was all over the island at train events. My dad and his twin were quite well known in the train community at the time as they were ‘The Twins’ from Bangor. On a Saturday we often took the train together to Belfast or on up to Whitehead. Or to the Folk and transport museum 😊 In my teenage rebellious years I swapped from trains to ´planes!
      Now in my middle age my love for the railways has reignited and I’ve several projects on the go. I live in NE France now which has a strong railway heritage with the recently voted most beautiful station in Europe in Metz. It’s also where the trains must swap which side they run on.
      So, do I model an Irish line, a French line or a German line? Alors, Je ne sais pas! Help! 😂😂😂

    • @GalgormHall
      @GalgormHall  Před 2 lety +1

      @@bugler75 good to see you’ve returned from the dark side. 😆 As to your predicament it’s hard to call. Some of the period french stuff is exquisite looking with their very French curved looks, like an old Citroen on rails. Then again, if you’ve grown up surrounded by Irish rail then that’s got to be appealing too and the Germans know a thing or two about producing top quality product in the model railway world. It wouldn’t be a huge leap to combine both French and German being so close to the border but with that all being in HO scale it does rule out the Irish option. None of this has been any help of course I but it’s there for you to juggle with your other thoughts. Paul
