Would love a video explaining the modifications in your RH variant that make it different than the standard mxs
Its great having you back. I used to obsessively watch your end of year reviews!
Rob, I met you at Wings over South TX at NAS Kingsville in 2008 when you had the green airplane! I just want to say thank you for talking to me about your aircraft and not acting like I was imposing. I still have the pictures of that day as I even got to check out the Viper West F16!
Rob is a savage in the MXS. That plane will literally do anything in the book including hanging on the prop like an RC plane.
Just a giant RC model with a human in it! 😁👍🛩
I agree. Out of all the unlimited competition aerobatic aircraft, this one looks the most like a 3d aerobatic rc model
Rob is awesome to watch fly live. I’ve enjoyed talking to him at Oshkosh. He’s so calm compared to Sean Tucker. However, we need more airshow muscle biplanes. We’ve lost those performances. Only Skip Stewart is left. Too many monoplanes.
Love these new videos...missing you and the entire aerobatic community.
Love these types of videos
Great vid. If I can offer a 6th reason... it's because you can! Wonderful to have options like this in life and thank you for sharing Rob. Cheers from Sydney - Dave
These videos are great
U are amazing rob
Reason 5… lol you got that right!
I'm in love!
What a beautiful plane! The best-looking aerobatic monowing I think.
So these are all carbon, with I'm guessing still a metal engine mount. Do they have the same problems with mount separation that the giles and sbach did?
See you soon at a Airshow near me
With the MX
Flown the gamebird?
how far out does the prop wash extend from the root?
^Probably a little less than the propeller diameter. Due to the stream-tube affect.
Well it would be quite awkward if you didn’t since the model is named after you… it would be like one of Enzo Ferrari’s grandkids daily driving a Chevy…
nice job Rob. jb from 7b3
Hey Rob Holland love to have a picture of you with your autograph,
Australian built, yes?
Does anybody know how tall Rob is?
He’s like 6’4”
@@Redbirdstol yeah, he seems pretty tall in his videos. I’m 6’3” and had a hard time fitting into an aerobatic plane. I’d like to know that I could fit into one of these.
6’4”
Wasn’t that designed by a guy in three rivers mi. ?
Yes
Giles 202 with a different wing and tail mods
@@longez2actually no. The MXS is its own clean sheet design. The MX2 prototype used a Giles 202 fuselage. Every “true” MX2 after the prototype was a completely different plane with its own fuselage design.
IIRC, the MX aircraft have a bespoke wing design with a custom airfoil. Not the swept, bent spar of the original Giles. That, in and of itself, makes it a different airplane.
Matt Chapman is the man, was the man and will always be the man
They are BOTH Great pilots in their own flight accomplishments I’m thankful I got to meet Both!!!
Agreed ha
