I don't know if anybody's mentioned this, but originally 3 Muskateers, had 3 flavors, like neapolitan ice cream, but was latter changed to chocolate only. Which is where it got it's name.
The Milky Way bar was only a bunny due to it being an Easter edition, and that wasn't even a true American Milky Way bar; that one was just caramel.. Normal Milky Way bars have caramel and nougat. (Pretty much a snickers without the peanuts) And those are LARGE Smarties, normal Smarties in America are much smaller.
with the Jr mints your child may have spilled the sippy but you crushed them when you tried opened the package. ... they squish really easy (coming from someone who loves them and accidentally squishing them)
LOL for some reason i've been watching a series of videos about "British people try American food" and most of the time the American foods are disliked and this is one of the videos that actually seemed like their like for the treats are genuine and the way he presented them were also quite amusing xD cheers !
Gnostalgic bookSpider Nope, our theaters are for live performances, cinemas are for pre-recorded films, out of curiosity what do Americans call a live performance? like on a stage. (not a live TV show either, like a Shakespeare play)
Shaun Dewey We call them movie theaters, or simply the movies, when referring to places that play films. These places do have official names like Cinema 10, Cinema 5, Regal Cinema, etc, though. When referring to live performances some people will say they are going to a play, but usually the place it is held in is simply called a theater. Films = movie theater, movies. Live performances = theater.
Smarties are usually smaller, like the size of a pencil eraser but a little bigger. Also, Skor bars are American but are better known as Heath bars and they have a different wrapper. If I was going to pick an American candy for you to try, I'd go with a Whatchamacallit or a Thingamajig (assuming these are not sold near you) I'm not much of a candy person but they're worth eating and are my favorites.
No, no, no. SKOR (Swedish for shoes, huh?) bars were made by Hershey as competition for Heath bars, marketed by Heath, then Leaf. Hershey has bought out Leaf and now produces both candy bars.
Daim bars were originally made in Sweden as Dajm by Marabou. I think they tried to license Heath bars, but came up with their own version when that deal fell through. Later marketed with more internationally appealing spellings.
Barry Barry Barry. I'm glad that I stumbled across your channel. Funny, interesting videos. Love from U.S. oh and I like you valley girl accent with the butterfinger lol
what's wrong with all of the people in the comments getting offended because of his amazing white girl American accent? we all know most of these people have done stereotypes about Brits! I think his impression was spot on
LOL I'm canadian, I died at the sour patch kid part where he goes "Oh it says made in Canada....well we won't go there" lol and it remains that everything is bigger in texas
I'm pretty sure USA because otherwise Canada is usually included in the title, and most people think that we don't really make anything but maple syrup, also if it was the continent, Mexico should be included too. But yeah it was supposed to be from the USA
What I do with sour patch kids is, I split one apart, eat one half and then the other. It reduces the sourness. Or, I put them all in water and pick them up with a spoon in the water, and then eat it. I then am left with a very sour drink, which surprisingly tastes good.
If you like sour-ish drinks (and you're in the North Eastern states), go to a wawa and grab their watermelon soda (here's a pic: th04.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2012/081/d/6/wawa__s_watermelon_by_maximumwingage-d4tkvmf.jpg) Really good and tangy. Just don't guzzle it because it'll mess your stomach up lol.
The joy that I get out of skittles is jamming one against the other until one breaks and I eat the one that broke. whichever one survives I jam against another skittle and eat it whichever broke I eat. I end up doing the same thing to the entire package until I am left with one victor skittle. This is the one that survives on my dresser... Until I cave and just eat it. I'm probably the only one who does this...
The superior candy obviously has super powers, you should save them all up and them morph them into(dramatic music plays) Skittle man, the fruitiest most powerful superhero in the world, I mean he already has a catchphrase.
Allie Games Most of Britain has inhabitants who speak "non-rhotic accents" myself included, where we tend not to say the "r's" in certain syllables. Pretty Good video.... But where's the Twizzlers, Hershey's, Jolly Ranchers, or Tootsie Rolls?
This is Jamie Oliver's secret half brother; he was never given the love and opportunities his brother was given. While Jamie was raised in a pub in Essex and allowed to define his art in the busy kitchen using the finest ingredients, Barry was hidden away in a bedsit in the outskirts of Slough and forced to think up the ridiculous names of Jamie's children. Now he has decided to fight back against the "Oliver Dynasty" that has imprisoned him and with our help he plans to change the world. We can only change this together!
Well just to give it a rundown. Here in the States the 3 Musketeer is chocolate covered fluffy chocolate. Add carmel to it and you have a Milky Way candy bar. Add peanuts to a Milky Way bar and you have a Snickers candy bar. Don't know what they are all called there in the U.K. (or wherever your from), but they are all made by the same company here in the U.S..
I believe what we call Milky Way is equivalent to the UK Mars Bar. The bunny version you had was special for Easter. Also, our Snickers bars are normally standard chocolate bar shaped as well, you has their special Squares version of it.
Junior Mints are actually supposed to be soft, Butterfingers are normally really crunchy they have been just trying new things with the peanut butter cups, Milky ways aren't usually shaped like bunnies, just for Easter, smarties aren't usually that big, the difference between milky ways and 3 musketeers in the US is milky ways have caramel and nougat and 3 musketeers have just nougat, and Take 5's are ironically called Take 5 because they have 5 layer's. I loved this video, I thought it was super funny, and I just wanted to clear those things up for you.☺👍
I like how I started watching your channel about 6 months ago, and I thought you were a wonderfully entertaining, oddball of a fellow. It's hilarious to go backwards and see that you may have been certifiably insane at one point :) Love what you do, keep up the magic Barry!!!!!
I love your movie and music references. Someone as young as you that knows Barry Manilow? You are an old soul with the best sense of humor. You should have your own food network show here in the USA. We would love to have you.
Also they come in the normal size which are a bit smaller than the size of chocolate smarties and are less zingy and more sweet also the big ones are every dollar store
Dezaray TM oh but I'm being serious! lol. It happened when I use to be in school and according to my much younger sister...it still is! Funny and depressing lol
They're really good. There are the regular caramel cream ones and I think chocolate and strawberry too. Like will said they're usually near the register in grocery stores too
I haven't seen some of the ones you showed but it's probably because I'm not a huge candy fan, especially of Smarties which taste like disgusting chalk. Yuck. Can't wait until you taste some Mexican candy, those folks really know how to add spice to just about ANYTHING!
a little late to the party...but fun fact...3 musketeers, when they were first released, were 3 flavors(hence the name) chocolate, vanilla and strawberry fluff covered in chocolate...and it eventually just became chocolate on chocolate
Okay, so Barry. I'm kinda curious , being a yank of a vase-headed individual that I am. The various western impressions you've done, is that what you think all 'Mericans sound like? I'm an impressionist, you see, so it's very curious for me to see how folks from the UK view the American accents. Also, side fact. I'm from Massachusetts as well!
As an American, I can honestly say... I've never had/strongly dislike the majority if these. Then again, I'm not from Texas, so I guess I'm not a real American.
Okay so everyone is going on about British people doing the Texas American accent and that but stop complaining, whenever you are asked to do a British accent you decide to go all posh but I have not met one posh person in England watch an episode of Waterloo road ( old version) and notice how the kids speak that's what you hear in Britain
it goes 3 musketeers, them milky way its a 3 musketeers with caramel then snickers is a milky way with peanuts. So 3 musketeers, milky way, then snickers.
Being American, I died with your American accent talking about the Butterfinger. We ALL use stereotypical accents when we impersonate any other nationality. These people in the comments are TRIPPIN'.
Watching your progressively intensifying sugar high was goddamned amazing.
Cheers lol
Barry Lewis there are milkyways in the us
happydorkgirl except sugar highs aren't real. tbf
+Ty Franklin you are the first person I've seen in any comments section to say that, why are people so misinformed?
GamingGrub15 yeah ikr
I don't know if anybody's mentioned this, but originally 3 Muskateers, had 3 flavors, like neapolitan ice cream, but was latter changed to chocolate only. Which is where it got it's name.
True!
I love how you think all Americans are either gangsters, hill billies, or high pitched girls who talk fast.
Lol you made my day
Audrey Schulte What? I only thought you were fat fucks hanging out in Wall-Mart, buying twinkies all day.
Second Signal Lol Well, twinkies are gross, and Walmart is not what you see in the pictures.. its just a store lol
Second Signal Twinkies suck.. No thanks I'm good.. XD
Sam Piazza What I said is the general USA stereotype in Europe.
The Milky Way bar was only a bunny due to it being an Easter edition, and that wasn't even a true American Milky Way bar; that one was just caramel.. Normal Milky Way bars have caramel and nougat. (Pretty much a snickers without the peanuts)
And those are LARGE Smarties, normal Smarties in America are much smaller.
AKA a 3 musketeers with caramel
WHY DO YOU THINK IT WAS CALLED "SIMPLY CARAMEL" DUMBASS!
Nobody better lay a finger on my butterfinger.
Lol
***** Autocorrect can duck my ducking lick.
Lol about the klondike bat thing
Just to say those are not real addresses on the envelope :-) I always use a dummy address and put a different one on from the sender
***** It's an eating show.
He is eating.
It is okay.
You are supposed to eat starburts in the wrapper
Barry Lewis all the 'offensive' american references had me dying xD
Finn Dinkel you're not you're supposed to take it out the rapper
Barry Lewis Im not sure if i have seen the Dessert Skittles
Americans use "posh" accents when pretending and Europeans use a snooty, preppy girl voice haha.
I'm American and I thought it was so funny when you made fun of how we say butter finger lol 😂
Karina Garcia Cali valley girl accent is funny. :P
"Like, oh my GOD?! ButteR? FingER?!"
Every word is a question. :D
Karina Garcia yeah im also American
ily 😍
Except. It's only a very specific kind of American that says it that way.
I am laughing so hard. My eight year old son watched this with me and he asked how he can get a job tasting candy....haha
Awesome
I have to say, after watching a few dozen various videos about tasting snacks, I love the amount of energy you project in your videos.
Thankyou
btw milky ways here aren't always in the shape of bunnies that was just for easter
Barry Lewis...and no more sugar for you...lol
with the Jr mints your child may have spilled the sippy but you crushed them when you tried opened the package. ... they squish really easy (coming from someone who loves them and accidentally squishing them)
usually smarties come in tiny little rolls, the larger one that you had is actually kind of unusual
LOL for some reason i've been watching a series of videos about "British people try American food" and most of the time the American foods are disliked and this is one of the videos that actually seemed like their like for the treats are genuine and the way he presented them were also quite amusing xD cheers !
I'm dying at the Butterfinger part. "Oh my god, like, I want a Butterfinger!" Hahahaha as an American, I approve!
***** They're new. They haven't been out for very long
***** They're very recent, they just started coming out a few months ago! Reeses also rereleased their candybar, the Nutrageous, around the same time.
It's so true how us Americans say "budder" and "skiddles
I love the cinemar.
Never heard of it
cookiezillaevan It's basically what the British (English?) call their theaters.
David Hoffnung *cinema :)
Gnostalgic bookSpider Nope, our theaters are for live performances, cinemas are for pre-recorded films, out of curiosity what do Americans call a live performance? like on a stage. (not a live TV show either, like a Shakespeare play)

Ah yes, because we Americans are all either valley girls or Texans. 😂
He's from the United Kingdom. For instance, I do not live in england, only the idea of what it is like.
I'm American, but don't we use "tea and crumpets" in every sentence we say in a British accent? 😂
Cheerio. Cheerio. Pip pip, my good man!
+Dakarn jOLLY GOOD SHOW
They are the easiest to mimic. And stand out the most too. : )
am i the only one getting slightly offended by the stereotypes
finally some one said it
Bro I was getting pissed at all his misused and over done stereotypes.
I think maybe he's just had entirely too much sugar.
It makes you wonder if that's what the world thinks of USA
ben anderson
if so they are as guilty of generalization as we are
Smarties are usually smaller, like the size of a pencil eraser but a little bigger. Also, Skor bars are American but are better known as Heath bars and they have a different wrapper.

we have "Sugar Daddies" they're carmel on a stick
sugar babies are just mini versions of that without the stick
Alright everyone take a shot each time Barry makes a movie reference
+Ivy Whatsherface You mad man... My cousin died because of this challenge! Alcohol poisoning :< (Joking of course :P)

Barry Barry Barry. I'm glad that I stumbled across your channel. Funny, interesting videos. Love from U.S. oh and I like you valley girl accent with the butterfinger lol
Haha thanks Brandi
Gordan Ramsey needs to take lessons from this guy on how to describe food. I love the descriptions.
they're called take 5 because they have the five ingredients..
chocolate
caramel
peanuts
pretzels and
peanut butter
what's wrong with all of the people in the comments getting offended because of his amazing white girl American accent? we all know most of these people have done stereotypes about Brits! I think his impression was spot on
I'm American and we too have Milky Way. I actually prefer them over 3 musketeers.
Cool
LOL I'm canadian, I died at the sour patch kid part where he goes "Oh it says made in Canada....well we won't go there" lol and it remains that everything is bigger in texas
I know that was Funny! But did the candy giver mean from the U.S.A. Or the continent itself?
I'm pretty sure USA because otherwise Canada is usually included in the title, and most people think that we don't really make anything but maple syrup, also if it was the continent, Mexico should be included too. But yeah it was supposed to be from the USA
Also most people would say North America and not just America when talking about the continent
His continued "Junior" reference kept me watching this. 😂
Milkyways aren't usually bunny shaped here in Murrica
+Marcus Vasbinder They are usually long like a Snickers or the 3 Musketeers he had. It looked like one of the ones for an Easter basket.
+Marcus Vasbinder
They're also not normally filled with solid caramel.
+Marcus Vasbinder ; They were just the Easter editions
Your. American. Accent. Is. Golden.

Erika Nance how long have you guys had the sour patch lollies for we just got them in NZ
Just finding this almost 8 years later. Man am I glad Barry isn't this hyper and over-the-top anymore XD
the peanut butter cups you ate were a mix/collaboration with butterfinger, they do have regular peanut butter cups

I'm American and wtf is skor
It's the same as Heath. :)
That sounds Swedish
Google it. SMH.
I've seen them at grocery stores
Right
Most of these are like special edition version or like hard to find versions of the candies especially the smarties
I'm not sure where you live in the US but all of these candies are easy to find in Atlanta, except of course the Milky Way bunny, it's an Easter item
*****
probably just your area, we have them in Georgia :)
I had them in North Carolina but I don't have them in Pennsylvania
It must be a southern thung
Connor Herb
must be.. I know the North has a couple items I can't find in the South too
he didn't get two American traditions..... Whatchamacallits and thingamajigs
I have never heard of either of those
Tetrachromia mainly only sold in the south at gas stations
dp lindsay That would explain it.
you can get whatchamacallit's in az
Tetrachromia those are like the best ever!
YOU ARE HILARIOUS! I live in the US and you have got me in tears laughing so hard. I subscribed. :)
Thankyou
Sugar babies... I live in America and I've never heard of them.
Me either........
they're very old school
love them
I used to eat Sugar Babies and Sugar Daddies.
HOW?!
This guy sounds like he's never had food before and I love it
Haha you make fun of Americans for saying "Budder Finger" .. and yet you say "Free Musketeers"
Kb34r Haha, that's a blight of many English folk, many of us tend to say "free" instead of three, myself not included.
And he says "butta finga" he calls us weird haha
Allie Games Most of Britain has inhabitants who speak "non-rhotic accents" myself included, where we tend not to say the "r's" in certain syllables. In Northern England in particular, we also have "glottal stops" where we don't even say the "t's" and instead have a silent momentary pause. For example, I might say "bu' er finger".
James Wilkes I like the northern accent.
Rainy Day The Northern accent likes you, too!
when he started saying budder finger, i died rofl, i love you so much XD your videos make me happy
Thanks buddddddder
Barry Lewis - Have you ever tried a Payday? They are my #1 favorite candy bar.
I'm American and Here's my Input (Anyone can completely ignore this if they don't like other peoples' opinions):
I've never heard of Sugar Babies
never had junior mints but I heard of them and they aren't uncommon
usually butterfingers come in bars not cups
I don't like Skittles (I prefer M&M's)
the milky way is just a bunny because of Easter
Starburst is good
Smarties provide happiness when disintegrating in a crossbow (long story short, I had a bunch of Halloween candy, a 80-lbs pistol crossbow, and a lot of fun!) ....and those smarties are over-sized
I never really got into sour stuff
eat snickers when you're mad XD, I've never seen it in peanut butter but it doesn't surprise me
I never had pop rocks but they were really popular a few years ago where I go for Halloween
OMFG I LOVE 3 MUSKETEERS!!! (don't judge, also I know nothing about the actual 3 musketeers)
never had cow tales but I've seen them plenty times
dafuq is a "Skor?" chocolate and toffee? sounds like Heath, Heath's are good
I haven't seen a Take 5 in like years.... but they're good....
Pretty Good video.... But where's the Twizzlers, Hershey's, Jolly Ranchers, or Tootsie Rolls?
dagginsful I agree. I could eat a thousand of those.
dc2008242 You just compared Skittles to M&M's?!? wtf
the90sboss they are both candy coated sweets, the only difference is that M&M's have chocolate inside, do you have a problem?
dc2008242 theyre not even the same category m&m's are chocolate, skittles are fruit chews. Yeah bitch i got a problem, you wan do wih me?
dc2008242 Comparing m&m's to skittles is like comparing a mars bar to a refreshers bar.
So glad you had a take five. It's my favorite and even being American many people I know have never had one.
Jessica McCoy they make a Reese’s Take 5 now and it’s fantastic
I love that when you think of America the first thing you said was, "yee haw," and the Star Spangled Banner. :)
"Yee haw"
Apparently all of America is now Texas
XDDDD
Why do people think people in America or Texas think we say yee haw we aren't Cowboys
What, you've never once said "yee haw?" You should try it. It's fun.
Not all Texans are cowboys, Texas is actually one of the most technologically advanced states in the US.
Okay, so some Texans are _space_ cowboys.
I thought they said it in the western central states, the ones near the square states.

Where'd the person who sent this to him get the huge smarties the ones I can find are like a third of the size
Adrea Sutherland try gas stations for big smarties
not 1 savory snack? Cheetos, mountain mix, nuts, pumpkin seeds, funions, sunflower seeds, Pringles, crunchers, jerky?!?!?;
Well just to give it a rundown. Here in the States the 3 Musketeer is chocolate covered fluffy chocolate. Add carmel to it and you have a Milky Way candy bar. Add peanuts to a Milky Way bar and you have a Snickers candy bar.

We don't say yehaw partner in America

I almost died at 2:33 he randomly goes JUNIOR HAAHHAHAHA
He is soo funny .. He reminds me of the cat off the movie " CAT IN THE HAT 😊🐈🎓"
:)
I used too watch that movie every single day on my first laptop.
You're one of the only Brits who like american candy
Spent a fair bit of time there
No one does food reviews like you 😂 love it!!!
I love your movie and music references. Someone as young as you that knows Barry Manilow? You are an old soul with the best sense of humor. You should have your own food network show here in the USA. We would love to have you.
He has had so much sugar. Too energetic.
Those smarties are huge!!! omg
"Budder finger," and "what ever," made me laugh so hard. 😂😂
In Canada smarties are called "ROCKETS"
Quincy CampbelL yes and they are my favourite candies
Also they come in the normal size which are a bit smaller than the size of chocolate smarties and are less zingy and more sweet also the big ones are every dollar store
You are so hilarious and random. Love it! Makes me embrace those moments I have :P
:)
side note smarties are usually way smaller also kids like to crush them up and breath the powder threw the rapper to pretend like their smoking
Or snort it.... O_O
OhOhSheeiila Hahahhah, hopefully not XD
Dezaray TM
oh but I'm being serious! lol. It happened when I use to be in school and according to my much younger sister...it still is! Funny and depressing lol
Wow haha, Thats just strange and yeah... kinda depressing. Well, whatever their into :P
Uuuuhh...yeah...sure.
The funniest thing to me is that when he said 'Butter finger' like Americans, i laughed but then realized... that's exactly how i said it.. lmao
Haha his impersonations of us ‘Mericans is hilarious. You guys sound pretty funny to us sometimes too. Glad to see it goes both ways lol. Cheers!
Hmm I'm American, I've never had or even heard of a cow tale before lmao.
They're usually at the register in gas station convenience shops or 7/11's. Never seen the strawberry ones before. They're usually caramel and cream.
same here lol
I've seen them and grocery stores at checkout
THEY TASTE SOOOO BAD.
Yuck. Can't wait until you taste some Mexican candy, those folks really know how to add spice to just about ANYTHING!

lmao at 3:44 I died. this guy should be an actor.
I'm not sure why they even bother telling you what flavors the Skittles are. I just eat them by the handful.
is the Valley Girl and a Texan the only accent brits know of? xDD
Grizzify they obviously know Mr. T.
What else is there?
We have, like, 30 bajillion accents here. At least he got those two right.
I find it so funny that when your doing an american accent your doing a straight up valley girl! LOL
The Junior Mints are by far the best ones. Shame they were destroyed.
This guy makes me giggle ;-; he's also really hyper....
:)
Okay, so Barry. I'm kinda curious , being a yank of a vase-headed individual that I am. The various western impressions you've done, is that what you think all 'Mericans sound like? I'm an impressionist, you see, so it's very curious for me to see how folks from the UK view the American accents.

OH MY GOSH your American accent was SPOT ON!!!!!! That had me laughing so hard!!!!! :D
The milky way bunny is just an Easter spring special here lmao :)
His white girl accent was top notch
Lol ikr hilarious
As an American, I can honestly say... I've never had/strongly dislike the majority if these. Then again, I'm not from Texas, so I guess I'm not a real American.
True
What do you mean you're not a real American?
True Americans are either obese, or from the Southern part of the country. I guess.
Because stereotypes.
I'm m from Idaho and I've heard of almost all of them
I love all your old school song and movie flashbacks...!
Okay so everyone is going on about British people doing the Texas American accent and that but stop complaining, whenever you are asked to do a British accent you decide to go all posh but I have not met one posh person in England watch an episode of Waterloo road ( old version) and notice how the kids speak that's what you hear in Britain
Ahh, back when Barry was blonde.
Hey Barry, can you make a giant chocolate muffin with an oozy centre, that would be awesome ... Thanks if you decide to do it 😊
It's interesting seeing an outside perspective to the candy and snacks i have all the time.

it goes 3 musketeers, them milky way its a 3 musketeers with caramel then snickers is a milky way with peanuts. So 3 musketeers, milky way, then snickers.
American police, firm but fair? Ahahahahahahahaha!
That's the truth. You at listen to too much media.
@@CaptainXno LOL sure.
Americans don't say cinema(r). We call it the movie theater
Or we just say go to the movies or at the movies lol
Tetrachromia I say cinema sometimes.
Being American, I died with your American accent talking about the Butterfinger. We ALL use stereotypical accents when we impersonate any other nationality. These people in the comments are TRIPPIN'.
Sour patch kids are the only snack I ever grab at the movie theater. Best candy ever.
Haha love the beach boys reference
Thanks Emma
Love the American accent! XD
