- Hey everyone, it's your hosts Rod and Mike from Reel Reactionaries, the channel where we give you our honest reactions to the latest TV shows out there. Today, we're excited to dive into the first episode of Swarm, the new satirical psychological horror thriller series created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on March 17, 2023. Neither of us has seen a trailer or anything about this show, Rod saw people were talking about it was Fire and it's by Donald Glover.
Swarm follows the story of Dre, a young woman played by Dominique Fishback, whose obsession with a pop star takes a dark turn. The show promises to be a chilling exploration of obsession and the impact of fandom on mental health.
In addition to Fishback, the show boasts an impressive supporting cast, including Chloe Bailey, Nia Long, Sterling K. Brown, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Billie Eilish, who we can't wait to see in action. And of course, we're excited to see the vision of creators Donald Glover and Janine Nabers come to life on the small screen.
This is a Blind reaction, we haven't seen the trailer or anything. Rod saw it was being talked about on social networks so we're here. Swarm sounds like it's going to be an intense and thought-provoking series. We can't wait to see how the story unfolds and how the characters develop over the course of the season.

I almost stopped watching midway through the first episode. I could not relate to the characters' lives. By the end of the first episode I was addicted and had to figure out what was going on.
Just to let you know you will be debating about what is going on up until and after the end. There are many subtle hints and theories pertaining to this show.
By the end the two of you may even have different theories about what has happened in this show.
