How I got diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), Pt. 2
My journey toward mental health began when I was first diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, and eventually BPD. The diagnoses forced me to reevaluate my history and see the signs of mental illness I had missed. Getting diagnosed was both relieving and confusing. I've told my story to friends; now I'm sharing it publicly.
I want to show that having a mental illness is not shameful. Getting diagnosed was a critical step in getting the treatment I need to manage my mental health.
