You seem to understand that Micsig better than anyone I've seen use it. I'm just learning diagnostics with a scope and have the same scope. I'm a bit older and retired... always been mechanical but have never worked as a tech. There are many others like me and many, many younger people, such as yourself, who are learning to use a scope. It would be great if you would consider creating a series of training videos using the SATO1004 but explain in a way that any scope user could apply to whatever scope they use. I believe it would be an excellent way to grow your channel's subscribers, also.
I’m glad you liked it and I really want to make more videos teaching how to use the scope but I’ve been working a lot lately and haven’t had much time. I’ll try and make some more. I recommend checking out scanner danners channel, he has so much excellent content on scopes and electrical diag. I’m actually subscribed to his premium website where he teaches you. It will be interesting to see on channel 2, the signal from a spark plug to observe the correlation between them on advance timing.
Under display,turn persist to none, the signal will look much better.
I’ll give that a try when I’m using it next, I’m almost certain I tried this already but perhaps I am wrong
Awesome video, nice to see someone who tries and understands how and why automotive systems work, I'm also considering the Micisg due to its unbeatable price, where do you take your scope knowledge from ? I like automotive oscilloscope waveform analysis by Graham Stoakes, I am also considering purchase of the ATG books Advanced Circuit and Electrical Testing, and Intermittent Electric and Drivability Diagnostics.
It’s a tough one to wrap my head around but then again I am a slow learner in my opinion. I like the look and feel of the micsig but there is one thing that bothers me with the software and that the scale at which the graph is displayed on. See I watched a lot of scannersdanners CZcams and premium website content to try and teach myself how to use an oscilloscope and you see danner uses a snap on scope and pico scope. Now the scope he uses shows a graph from let’s 0 to 20 volts and with the micsig it can do the same but it measures in increments of whatever you choose.. it’s difficult to explain but they are different.. I sent micsig an entire write up and explanation on how they should add a feature to change the scale but so far no luck.. the detail of the micsig is no wear close to the picoscope. It’s good for the price but if I had to buy it again I would buy pico and just save up the 8 grand
Oh and I bought mine on aliexpress, it was 1300 Canadian

@@thesmartguy3523 I know pico is so expensive, but i know I’ll probably go pico next, this scope is pretty versatile swing as it’s a tablet and it’s right around the price range of 1000USD, I haven’t really had much experience with any others, the launch and Autel scopes run the exact same software as the micsig by the way
@@Tech-28 right thanks for your reply, but would you recommend it or not ? I can only ever dream of getting a pico but hopefully once I'm on track with scooe mastery
