- This Carol has to be my favorite of all time I start off by playing the "Fanfare Introduction" (Was sight reading it) then go into the carol arrangement and descant by David Willcocks from Carols For Choirs Book 1 - I just love the descant when you get a full Church singing this it makes the hairs of my neck stand up!
Hope you certainly enjoy this one!
Nadolig Llawen Folks!! (Merry Christmas Folks!)
Cheers
Rob
N.B - I was here at All Saints Church 11th December 2011 to observe the RNLI Carol Service and Boy what a service it along with the Choir and Les Ryan on the Organ everything was going "Fanfares" and the Descant - It made the hairs of my neck stand up! - Hudba
You can't beat the pipe organ for these magnificent hymns.
Thanks Tom!
One thing I notice in a lot of churches in my country (America), the new ones have Christian rock groups. Not for me. Having said that you check out the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Yeah you really can't.
@@KevinDavis338 In my opinion rock groups don't fit in a church. A church needs a powerful (pipe) organ. I haven't noticed it in my country (Germany) yet, and I also hope that this will be remaining in the future.
@@louis_lorenz I agree
The music of heaven.
Indeed! The pipe organ is indeed such a heavenly instrument!!
ooooooooooh yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sing in a choir with the organ ...is really beautiful!
I won't lie. There's something magical about the music of a pipe organ that just resonates harmoniously with your soul, be it calling to all ye faithful, or to soothe the bloody tears that fall upon its keys. The pipe organ is timeless and time-honored, and I don't believe, not even for a second, that it is going anywhere. It shall continue to resonate and sing so long as there are those who come to hear it
Cheers!
had tears in my eyes.. sound of heaven with angels in full glory
Awww thanks for that!
Christmas Eve - what a tragedy in most American churches today - they are either organless or if they do have an organ, they feel a need to hire a cast of horn blowers, kettle drummers, fiddles and sleigh bell ringers to drown the organ out. All a church needs is the King of Instruments to bring homage to the King of Kings. There is nothing like the rush of joy in a church full of people on Christmas Eve when the first verse of Adeste Fideles is played at full organ expression. It is an experience and a memory that we all can relate to.
SO TRUE!!
Thank you for these wise words ! Unfortunately we are members of a minority.
Slowing down wouldn´t hurt the quality either
Willem van Ingen agree, parts of it is getting muttled
My church has an organ and a piano, but they never play both at once. The music director either plays piano or organ, depending on the piece. On Christmas Eve, we stick with a traditional organ without other instruments.
Ernest M. Skinner you are looking ought to know see my church in they got rid of its organ and replaced it with a electric oven piano
I Imagine just walking into heaven and hearing this song with choirs of angels singing O come let us adore him Christ the Lord ❤😊
:o)
Completely swept away by this glorious rendition of “O Come All Ye Faithful” on this magnificent instrument. THIS is Christmas! Thank you, Rob!
No Probs!
The King of Christmas Songs played on the King of Musical Instruments! MAGNIFICENT!
Thanks :-)
I'm not religious, but I love this song! Especially on the organ. Just beautiful.
+Stephen Anderson Many thanks, shouldn't be too long now before I return to this fine organ! :o)
@@RobCharles1981 great job that takes a lot of skill
@@fletchermccoy447 Its a piece of cake!
I'm also not religious and this is my favourite Christmas Carol.
Samridhi Sharma , Jesus Christ suffered and died for you also. It’s easy to become a Christian. Repent of your sins, and believe in the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Read the Gospel according to Matthew Mark Luke or John. Have patience and allow the Holy Spirit to enter your heart.
“Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in us the fire of your love.” Be Baptised in the Lord Jesus.
‘God the Father thankyou for this moment of grace.’
3:46 - The feels...
:-)
One of my wish lists in my life is playing this song on pipe organ.
indeed!
You are not alone 😎
Omg 😮
Long live Christ🙌🏻🥰
And the music🥰
I miss the church and being in the choir this makes me sad but so rejoiced, please please please go to a church and just listen to this beautiful sound🤩
Who could say a bad name about it🥇
Well proud to be catholic and gay🇬🇧
America don’t ever stop believing🇺🇸
Your brothers and sisters from another country got you✌🏻🙌🏻
GOODNESS ME .. Simply the most powerful BEST rendition of that hymn i have EVER heard !!
Venite adoremus, venite adoremus, venite adoremus Dominum! Ad maiorem Dei gloriam!!!
That time of year where I come back to this vid. Merry Christmas!
:-)
Every year in Trinity University in San Antonio TX, there’s a Weinachtsfeier (german christmas celebration which just so happened today) and they have a beautiful choir and organ player. This video instantly reminded me of that.
Sqme
Compare that organ to the "flimsy" keyboards in most modern-day churches! Rock-bands in "churches" have replaced the majestic sounds of real worship!! God help us!!!
Lol true
Yess, FINALLY someone LIKE ME! I HATE Church with Rock Band. Pipe Organ play Hymns make me touched
The almighty still makes his presence known in our contemporary worship.
The majestic organs are great, but are often over-powering. You don't want to
put up with that on every hymn. That being said, open it all occasionally. g.
You're right. Rock bands in churches are quite ridiculous, and they even think they're cool.
Very true, nothing beats the sound of a church organ played to this standard
a fine performance of perhaps the greatest of all xmas carols - thanks rob
Many thanks Sure is! :o)
This brings back child hood memories. This song shook the Church whenever this was played on the organ. The organise really got into this hymn.
Many thanks!
Goosebumps throughout! Excellent job! My headphones could hardly take it haha
Many thanks - Pleased you enjoyed! :-)
Lol your name 😂
uggghhh, That is insane HEAVY!!! OMG!!!
Mister Rob, in spanish, sorry, i talk spanish, but for you, i whrite in English, now spanish.... Cuando ví este video, yo lloré de la emoción, al ver la forma como tocas el teclado, tú le das un sonido lleno de magia, yo me transporte al cielo mismo
Beaitifully played. This is what i want to hear at Chistmas.
Thanks!
I grew up in a preparatory school in Virginia K-12, and every year, the girls in grades 5-12 would put on a Christmas Pageant at a local church that was done entirely in song....no spoken words. It was, and is, one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever seen This song was, every year, traditionally used for the processional. It gives me chills just listening and takes me back to those amazing years!!
You got me ready for the Christmas Eve Service.... Very well done..
Many Thanks Richard Christmas wont be the same without this Carol! :o)
Me, too, Richard Martin. And thank you, RobCharles for continuing to bless us by your many recordings. MERRY CHRISTMAS to you!

Thanks Martin very much hope to be back here sometime in the new year so stay tuned! :-)
C'est magnifique WOW magnificent! I agree with you about hairs standing up on neck when the entire congregation joins in singing :D
+Ken Dufresne Cheers! :)
Hearing this brings back peaceful and happy childhood memories

Best song ever!
Absolutely cracking! Makes me want to start playing again
Many thanks!
So inspirational Rob. You do realize that the All Saints Church organ is totally spoiled now having you play - it will NEVER want another!
Yes that's right Paul thanks! :-)
Somehow this Hymn belongs to Christmas Eve for me !
We sing it as introduction or as sanctus before the Eucharist :)
I know it's the wrong time of the year for listening to this but I still get shivers nontheless!
My order of verses based in what I hear:
O come all ye faithful, God of God, See how the shepherds, Sing Choirs of angels, yea Lord we greet Thee.
Many thanks!
I know this as Adeste Fideles thanks to my Catholic upbringing... defo my fave Carol 💓
Wonderful!
Magnificent organ recital of this beautiful Christmas Carol, Rob.
Thanks Brendan!
The year is 2020. The list of tragedies and wickedness is long. But none like this year.
EDIT: Alas, the Grand Organ brings us together on this day of worship, thankful of what unity we have left.
Lets hope 2021 is better for us!
Beautiful beyond words! A magnificent instrument and organist! Just how I like hearing this wonderful Christmas hymn. Blessings to you!

All I can say is..beautiful!

How many of you watching were singing along?
I keep coming back to this one every Christmas. Merry Christmas, my friend!
And Merry Christmas to you too - many thanks! :-)
WOW! that is beautiful Rob. What a great organ. You are certainly among My favorite Organist. I see that I am not alone in listening to this tune so far out of season or as I prefer to think of it as just a little early ! Here it is July 21 and this is still listened to often. Vanesa, You are NOT alone there. GOD BLESS ALL Who hear this post. kevlutu
Many thanks! :-)
Best hymn ever played on a Pipe Organ but it doesn't give it justice. Unless you are actually there to experience it in person it is absolutely incredible.
Indeed - but also listening to this on a good sound system or earbuds such a Bose Q15's then your in "virtual heaven" ;-)
@@RobCharles1981 I couldn't tell but did you pull out all the stops on the last chorus?
Glory to God in the highest
I’m an atheist who is listening to this in the middle of July no less, but this is magnificent
That sounded amazing!
Thank You!
Absolutely masterful. The introduction fanfare is great, as well as your voicing between verses. I wish I could play this well!
Thank you very much!
Dr.Phibes does Christmas! Seriously - top marks! This rendition has all the energy, joy and abandon called for. This is _not_ something that should played sedately. Brings back happy memories of singing our lungs out at the episcopal midnight mass when I was a kid - snow outside, only candles, full procession by priest and choir in frilly clothes, the smell of incense, everyone with a warm buzz from dinner with the family.
Many thanks Ian! :-)
wonderful
Well Rob, ya done made me cry with this one.
Thanks! :-)
You've got a real talent man, a blessing to say the least. Keep da videos up and stay blessed.

Great moment to think about our Savior
Thank You! :-)
Wow I would love to have been in there to hear that. Such a magnificent sound!
It really is!
That was beautiful! I really love the powerful sound of the organ. Greetings from Germany :)
Excellent work! For my favorite instrument of all, the organ really gives the electric guitar a run for its money!
Couldn't agree more!
Rob you have played this beautiful Christmas tune with such beauty and feeling, with the might and majesty that this old favorite demands. You have played it PERFECTLY. You are so talented and I love hearing you play. Thank you for sharing your flawless God-given gift. I lucky i was to stumble upon your channel. This is truly the music of Heaven. Praise Him with might and majesty!!
