I like the quad pipes on the new one, but the older one sounds better. I'd take the V8 over the V6 as well. Also I prefer the Pininfarina design. Guess I'd take the older model.

Old is best. Such a great design. They should've kept it the same and just added more power. Like maybe the new one looked slightly different and had a 600bhp V8.
I think the absence of the V8 will for sure be the biggest gripe 😖
The older one! I really love Nettuno engine, it's the art of the power and modern technology, but V8 with THE SOUND...😁 Also, I am the old fashion guy, I don't like big screens, too much of assistance and especially digital dash! The old interior is 100% better for me. So, it's easy call here...
Yeah when it comes to tech, if you dont care for it much you're going for the 2017 all the way!
Great video RPO. OLD is GOLD for me. So good, I'm on my second naturally aspirated V8 GranTurismo. You really can't beat that Ferrari derived power plant. The F136 has won numerous awards for good reason. Unbeatable 4.7l V8 sound - even today. The styling of the original pininfarina design is still supercar stunning. The only weakness, IMO, is the infotainment system , which you can now retrofit with Apple Car Play. "Upgrading" to a more expensive, muted twin turbo V6 or electric GT made no sense to me personally. Maserati got it right first time. Love mine. And the previous one.
Old is gold is the mottoe. Was hoping you''d chime in owning two GT's now! Im sure after experiencing that F136 for so long it would be hard for you to pass it up.
2017 and that engine overall! But the 2024 interior and trunk design is an upgrade
For me it's all about the old one; looks and sound. The new one is not bad but it's just too stubby. Now, the only thing I would probably choose the new one on is the tail lights and the interior. But overall you still can't beat the old-school Pininfarina touch!👌
So true! The new one just looks too bland and the rear looks too stubby compared to the old!
The Pininfarina tough carries so much weight, its hard to go against it I agree.
@@RonsRides Absolutely! Their bodystyles ain't the flashiest, but they just stand the test of time with a classy touch. That's why they were always my favorite designer.

I wish you had compared the 2018 and the new GT (partially because I own a 2018 and the updated interior of the 2018). I love the body and sound of the older GT but I do like the interior of the updated GT. The older body style has more of a presence on the street and is just drop dead gorgeous!
Also I hate hate HATE the plastic front trident on the new GT! Just place the radar and sensors in a different location but not the Trident!🔱
I wish I could have gotten one, unfortunately they didnt have an 18 so i went with the next best thing.
Nothing comes close to sounding like the V8, but the new one sound decent. Also, it is so much better of a car all around! Looks great too!

I'd still take the OG. I love the new taillights but that's it. I can upgrade the OG infotainment to look like the new one. So to me, it don't matter. OG with upgraded infotainment for the win. You can never replace a v8 motor with a v6. It's that simple.
I feel like the OG would be great work weekend drives. Not something you drive everyday as the new model is more practical and Id feel better pounding that engine daily and enjoying its creature comforts.
Man, this is hard!!!! I need a mix of the 2 to really float my boat. I like the body of the older (more aggressive), but want the scripts and lights off the new on it. I thought I liked the grill on the new one better until you got up close. On the interior…I’m not a huge fan of a “tablet” to control everything and all the digital displays also works my nerves…I’d rather have the old with some tweaks. But, yeah, when really pushed, the 2017 dash plain flat looks oooooooollllld. I definitely like the paint on the newer better- no question about that.
Its so tough which is why I didnt pick a favorite at the end because Im with you! Both are great and unique in their own special ways. Its almost an impossible question to ask but had to do it lol.
Old wins in every way
It's hard to pick. They changed it just enough to modernize it. But not too much to take away from the overall design.
The two things that steers me towards the new one is the tail lights and the interior. Those are the aspects of the 2017 that really dates that car.

Old, because you don't have to press everything twice to make it work...like you did in switching off the radio in the new car!!!
I really love both, but my wallet likes the 2017.
Front end - old (do not like that black chin spoiler on the new one.
Hood - new, love those fender flares
Engine - old
Paint - new
Sound - old, but surprised how good the v6 sounds.
Side profile - new
3/4 view - new
Rear - old surprisingly as most people weren’t fans of the original rear end, but it is aging well.
Interior - new, the old sticky button interior can rot in hell.
I am looking for a 2015-2018 convertible to replace my 911 and I am partial as I have no chance of buying a new one on my budget lol.
Lol wish my wallet could afford either of them!
I like the look and sound of the old engine. Put this in the modern Grand Turismo.
I realise that the Nettuno engine will be more reliable compared to the old one in terms of belt/chain intervals.
The original GT I loved and the current iteration is not that bad.
Win/Win for Maserati with both models. Totally wish we could have the best of both words into one model.
Hard to say anything is better than a car with a F136 in it.

Stari je remek djelo ali novi je baš cijeli novi i puno bolji i kvalitetniji.kraj starog mi najviše smeta veliki razmak između zadnjih kola i karoserije i ogromna zadnja svjetla,novi je u svemu najbolji u svojoj klasi čak i sa 6 cilindara
