The “starch” rinse is for potatoes…. when you rinse pasta it’s to stop the cooking process and you take the coating off so when you add the pasta it doesn’t thicken the sauce and doesn’t let the sauce stick to the pasta when making pasta salad yes you want to rinse the pasta 👍🏽when cooking a warm/hot saucy dish remove the pasta from the water and straight into the sauce👍🏽
