This is the confirmation I’ve been needing! I’ve ruined my hair TWICE with titanium irons and I don’t even use the highest setting! When I use ceramic, I can use the highest setting and still keep my curl pattern. I thought it was all in my head but I stopped buying titanium. However as you said, when a stylist uses titanium on me, which most do, I never have issues. Crazy..

I HAVE FINE THIN HAIR AND IN MY COUNTRY THE RION THEY RECOMMEND EVERYWHERE AS "THE BEST" IS BABYLISS OPTIMA 300, well I bought it years ago I was so excited but yeah it burns my hair even with the lowest setting and also being as careful as posible , it´s aroun 3 year already and I went again to the store and they still recommend the sam es the best ! SOOO I decided to give another try and naha my hair was so healty one pass and just with 300 made my hair so AWFUL ... it´s hardo to find straightner for curly fine thin hair, I feel like almost all hair irons pull my hair recently I realized I haven´t asked myself "why haven´t you searched hair irons FOR FINE HAIR" so I did and bought 3 irons today but I hope they work for fine SUPER CURLY HAIR its a night mare :(

Thank you so much for making this video! My last two flat irons were titanium, and it seemed like they always did more damage than good. They never got my hair as straight as my old ceramic irons used to, always gave me cold spots, and always burned my skin. It was a constant struggle. I just switched back to ceramic, partly because of this video, and couldn’t be happier! Didn’t even have to turn the flat iron up very high to get a super straight result. Titanium is garbage!

    • @cfoster6804

I have a professional Paul Mitchell full Ceramic plate and a professional Titanium Babyliss nano. I find when I use the ceramic my hair instantly appears healthier, bouncier, and softer. The Titanium is slightly straighter, but flatter, and more prone to damage. Both are shiny, but ceramic gives a mirror since, whereas Titanium gives a more artificial shine. I don’t trust using titanium, although it’s recommended for course hair. It seems the Titanium pulls moisture out while ceramic locks it in. My hair is past the middle of my back. Not sure if anyone else has had the same experience, but it seems Titanium is good for salon quick straight and slay. Yet ceramic is good for long term length and luxurious hair. I have 3b hair. Pretty sure if you use the Titanium your ends are gonna break. I would limit to once a year.

You need a good moisturiser conditioner and a anti frizz shampoo to wash with after that you need a hair serum to coat your hair to protect it from the blow dryer and flat iron. Always set your flat iron at an appropriate temperature for your hair. I would recommend you use 300-380 °

Honestly i just traded in my no heat journey to a low heat journey too. Trying to do the natural hair thing have left me nearly bald headed now and i got sick of buying all those hair products 🤷🏾‍♀️ 🤷🏾‍♀️. Before my hair crisis i was getting a silk press and curl every other since 2007 and my hair was very long and healthy and that is where i'm trying to get it back to now so i went back to what worked and grew my hair before. Now since my hair dresser of 20 years have retired and now that i know the correct tools to get, what i learned from my hair dresser, and watching videos like yours my hair will survive then BOOM my hair acting right again with the silk press and curl 💃🏽 🤣.
    STAY SAFE EVERYONE. GOD BLESS.

Why do people wrap their hair after flat iroining?

To help maintain the shape of your hair-do through out the week. Of course you don’t have use this method. When I was younger I would always use flexi-rods but as I got older I would just wrap it.

@@NoMustyDemonShallProsper Thanks for replying! I do find my "press" lasts longer if I wrap it at night; But that's done the night of styling and subsequent nights until wash day. I noticed wraps are sometimes done immediately after flat-ironing 🤔, even on this channel & that's what I don't completely understand. Are you telling me, that is also to extend the style's longevity?

I do thinks helps with longevity but then again I think about people who workout and it probably messes up their hair from sweating. Then you gotta factor in the weather depending on where you live. So I guess yes and no.

Titanium is best used for straight European or Asian hair where there is no curl pattern to ruin. for us curly and wavy people ceramic is more than up to the job and is best. Its all about the right temperature setting as shown here.

You really are a celebrity hairstylist; I originally thought, "oh, she must be well known in her area." LOL! Congratulations, love your work. Proper maintenance, good nutrition, and quality products make such a difference...I should practice that, :P.

I like titanium because I can use less heat. Sometimes 25+ degrees less.
