    Your videos are so informative and I learn so much from you. I have fine hair that has thinned with age, and I learned from you that my theory that my high messy bun I rock daily has been making my hairline thin and cause a bald spot. I have been doing a loose low bun since seeing your videos about traction alopecia and I hope that my hairline may recover. Your videos are fantastic.

    I think I just discovered that I have fairly thin hair. I have a lot of hair and it’s heavy so I just thought I have thick hair. A ceramic curling iron holds better for me. I bought a $90 curing iron from chi that is titanium and it goes flat as soon as I’m done , and also my hair smells burnt. I really thought that spending a little more would get me better results 🥲lol

    Another hairdresser recommends titanium on the basis of even heat distribution even for fine hair because you only need one pass as opposed to repeated passes to get smooth straight hair using tourmaline and other plates. I’ve noticed hairdressing professionals vary in their opinions and that’s all good but, many have said they’ve found a higher heat and even heat distribution combined with the right products = less likelihood of damage.

    I just bought a ceramic iron because it was on sale! I tried it and it *straightened my hair* but not straight-straight - thick 90s straight. My hair is softer than when I use my babybliss which is titanium but it seems to fry my hair easily. It gets the work done but does a lot of damage. Anyways, I don’t necessarily like the results of either. And I have thick, frizzy, wavy/curly hair. I didn’t know about the different iron types. I think I might be returning it. I have tried my mom’s CHI LAVA and I loved it. Thank you so much!

    Couldn't grow my hair for ages!!
    Aria Lacey - best straighteners I've ever found. Tourmaline plates with ceramic coating. My hair is quite fine, damaged, fragile, but stubborn and thick AF. I normally straighten my hair all except the bottom 1/2 inch and just brush through my post straightening oils and making sure the ends are taken care of
    Hair is healthier, actually growing! (Just found out about "hair Botox" deep conditioning salon treatment so I'll be doing that once a month from now on, highly recommend even if it's just the once, it felt amazing I had TV advert hair for the first time ever.) This video confirms what I had stopped but hadn't actually figured out... Why my hair stopped growing. Subscribed! 😊

      Hey! I'm so so happy that you found this to be useful! I'm sorry that happened to you. I have fine hair and I've literally fried my hair SO MANY TIMES. You're not alone. For your hair type, I would go with a ceramic and keep the heat as low as possible. Experiment with the heat so that you can keep it at the setting you need to straighten it nicely and stop there. Don't go any higher. It also helps to shampoo your hair less. How often are you shampooing? I shampoo twice a week and that has gotten my hair into a super healthy spot! I will be making more hair care and hair tips videos so stay tuned :)

Just to add, my hair is very difficult to curl and stay curled :) It gets straight again after few hours. I wouldn't like to damage my hair, and wouldn't use a straightener often. Only in some occasions. So which from those you mentioned would be the best by your opinion for my hair to stay curled during the whole day? :) Thank you! :)

    5 years I’ve been wondering why my hair all of a sudden started breaking off at the ends and nothing I did would help. 5 years I’ve thought it was my blow dryer, shampoos, masks and even vitamin deficiencies. Not until one random comment I saw yesterday that sent me into a deep dive, did I realize that 5 years ago I switched from my trusty ceramic Chi 1 inch OG, to a titanium coated Chi G2, and my hair has been breaking off ever since. My hair is super fine, curly, but incredibly fine and I have to baby it. Never in 5 years did I consider my flat iron plates, OMG!!!

    I have a question: So I’ve been using ceramic straighteners my entire life and my hair is more wavy than curly but not super thick or thin. I can never get it to stay straight and smooth. It always gets frizzy and wavy within an hour. Should I switch to a titanium straightener for longer lasting results?

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Před 3 lety +7

      Hey! Yes! Absolutely. All my clients with hair like yours, I straighten with the babyliss pro nano titanium flat iron and it’s absolutely perfect and long lasting. What will help you maintain results also is to start with a blow out using a hot air brush. Have you ever heard of those? I can not straighten my wavy hair without blowing it out first. It doesn’t look nearly as good or last nearly as long.

    I currently have ceramic iron, sometimes it works well. But I think I should go for something more for my hair type (I have straight roots, but the rest is wavy/curly and it can be frizz and puffy). I'm still debating but thank you for the video and explaining it.

    Thank you so much this is so informative and beneficial 💜.Can you recommend me a titanium flat iron that doesnt hurt the hair that much? I don't have a thick hair but its not that thin also! Its smooth but its frizzy 😭.

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Před 4 lety +3

      Yes of course! My favourite is the Babyliss pro nano titanium flat iron! I haven't done a video about it yet but I really need to because it's an amazing flat iron and as long as you turn your heat down and pass smoothly and evenly, you won't get damage but you will get PERFECT results. I use it on all my frizzy hair clients in the salon and it's truly incredible.

    I do have fine hair but it is very curly and doesn't stay super straight after styling it with my ceramic straightener. Should I try titanium or should I stay away from it due to the possibility of melting my fine hair? What if I choose a very low heat setting with a titanium?

    Thank you so much for this video! I have a quick question: I’m trying to buy my first flat iron! I have wavy thick hair that has been relaxed before so it doesn’t hold the curls anymore. I want to try straightening instead maybe like once a week and I don’t really wanna get heat damage so I was thinking of buying a chi ceramic one. Would you recommend I get a titanium one instead based on my hair type? Thanks for the info again!

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey! If your hair is relaxed and you're just pressing it for some extra smoothness, a chi ceramic is an EXCELLENT choice. If your hair starts going back to a very wavy and thick texture and you want much more control, a titanium will be a better option for you :) Titanium has a stronger performance overall, in my opinion.

    I have the SOLEIL hair straightener 100% solid ceramic magnetized plates, i paid $350.00 for it but i have a lifetime warranty on it. I can always get a new one if mine breaks or it does not work anymore, i just pay a $45.00 shipping and handling fee and i get a new one. Thats the only one i use. This one is a good hair straightener.
