    Very nice. Bull Armory hit the nail on its 2024 version of the SAS 2. All blacked out is much more appealing for me. Agree as well on your opinion, no optics for edc.

    Nice review as always. As far as dots, I’ll defer to a line from Quigley down under.
    Quigley shoots Dobkin, O'Flynn and Marston before they can even aim their guns, then walks up to the dying Marston] I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn't know how to use it.

    Thank you for sharing this video of yours. Bul Armory makes extremely high quality 2311 pistols.
    My husband is still looking to purchase a 2311 / 2011 pistol.
    You're absolutely correct on the magazines made by or for Bul Armory. They are also less expensive than the 2011 magazines.
    A well known 2011 manufacturer recently semi acknowledged a magazine issue and is offering a new spring and follower. The new spring and follower make the magazine minus one round as well.
    Bul Armory pistol is still less expensive than another well known manufacturer in the USA.
    Even if my husband gets a 15 percent LE discount the price is slightly cheaper .
    Good for you, optics is a fad. It's making companies very wealthy.
    I'm hopping my husband goes with the Bul Armory 🧐
    Awesome video of yours. Have a great day 😄🙏

  • @jamesbrogan85
    @jamesbrogan85 Před 9 dny

    FYI, that little hole in the rear of the barrel hood, is actually a cut-out for the extractor. So, you can drop the slide on an empty magazine without damaging the gun!

  • @fattigla
    @fattigla Před 9 dny

    One of the main advantages I've seen about using an optic is that I focus less on maintaining a sight picture, and more on trigger manipulation. That is with a stock Glock. I haven't tried the fiber front sight, but I think I would like that sight picture, and I could be fine without an optic.

    Good overview as always Graham. After your range evaluation, I'd be interested in your opinion and preference between the steel frame TAC vs. the aluminum frame EDC model. Obviously, there is a trade-off between carrying comfort vs. recoil mitigation due to the weight difference.

    Oh boy!
    This means that the 2024 EDC line _should_ be the next to arrive! It is the one that both my wife and I plan on acquiring as a 'His & Hers' combo. I get the Pro with the ports and she gets the standard non-ported version.
    Although, I will be carrying hers (without the ports) as my new EDC pistol. Guess that means we are back to 'Hurry up and wait' once again. The story of my life.
    I just wish BUL Armory was more communicative. The manufacturer will tell you to talk to the distributor and vice versa. Just rinse and repeat. That is no way to run a business regardless of your whereabouts but I digress.
    Nevertheless, I am _thoroughly_ excited for this new 2024 EDC model. They really do listen to customer feedback. I have no shame admitting that I am among those that continually requested the flush fitting bull barrel. As well as the removal of the magwell for better concealment and comfort.
    As always, BUL Armory did not disappoint.
    Meanwhile, I must say that you have certainly earned my subscription. Excellent presentation, Graham.
    Stay classy my friend.

    • @BertShackleford
      @BertShackleford Před 9 dny +1

      @@GBGuns Indeed they do.
      I have been a patron of BUL Armory for many years now, so I am glad to hear others have figured out the system.
      BUL Armory _was_ the best kept secret in the industry for the longest time. My selfishness certainly played a part in that role. However, they have earned their time to shine. Just happy to see that the quality has remained the same, if not better, over the years.
      Although, they still need to work on their communication. It was never their strong point. Not to be misconstrued with customer service. Inquiries will get you a boilerplate response. Whereas, warranty work is flawless.
      Overall, their customer service is above many others in the 2A industry.
      Stay classy my friend.

      @@user-xy1nc4on6f I'd love to, but am not sure if I will. As a defense-oriented shooter I have strong feelings about ports. I think they're generally a bad idea for any gun intended for defense as chances are pretty good that gun won't be used on a nice open-air range, but could be used in a car, room, or fired from close contact.

    The only thing I’d like to see them do is an external extractor, and a full length rail/dust cover. It’s 2024 and we’re past tuning unreliable extractors, and if you’re gonna make the frame out of aluminum, then don’t worry about adding another inch to the front of it.

    This may be a stupid question, but why does no one make a "generic" optic cut that is flat with holes that match each pattern of optic, and posts that may be inserted in the required holes? You wouldn't need plate systems that would add height to the optics, and a set of pins (probably shouldn't need more than four and that would cover all patterns of optics) would cost much less than even a single adapter plate. It would also make it much easier to co-witness with irons without needing suppressor height sights.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  Před 9 dny +1

      I believe because you still need recoil lugs for the optic, otherwise all the stress ends up on the screws which eventually break. The closest thing to what you're talking about is the system used on the HS Produkt Echelon.

    • @BU1Lander
      @BU1Lander Před 9 dny

      @GBGuns you would be right, sir. That is pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Kind of unfortunate they don't include that on any of their more compact handguns.

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  Před 9 dny +2

      @BU1Lander I'm disappointed that they haven't expanded the line. It's a modular gun, but over a year later, we haven't even seen a compact grip option.

    • @BU1Lander
      @BU1Lander Před 9 dny

      @GBGuns that would be extremely nice. I'd have to look over the specs to see a nominal width, but a grip frame that could use the 15 and 17 round Hellcat magazines might be quite nice.

    • @alz.7716
