City had 3 games in hand with that "10 point lead" so realistically arsenal could only draw or lose one game before city do what city do. A few injuries and inexperience is what cost them .
Arteta has improved this team every season, arsenal fans who want him out simply need to look at Chelsea and man united so see where they would end up. Unless there is an elite manager in the market, chasing out Arteta would foolish. Young manger with a bright future who top clubs would take in a heart beat.

Over the course of 5 years Arteta has steadily improved the squad from going 8th, 8th, 5th, to a 2nd place title charge, to an even better title charge where we are 2 points behind a monster city side as well as a close game with Bayern fighting on the European front. This guy is spot on, the problem with this team is lack of character and a sentimental manager that patronises his players.
I had very little confidence going into the game tbh. Our game feels too overcoached, too systematic. There's also no individuals which scare teams like they have in Sane and Musiala, Kane etc.
If you think we don’t have a sane, Musiala and Kane because we are over coached i don’t know what to tell you. Those 3 are all simply better than our options at the same position.

I think we need a creative machine to partner Rice in midfield, at least one proper, direct winger and a striker in the summer. Still don't understand why we bought Havertz for 65m but he wasn't the worst on the pitch today though.
This is probably the least individually talented attack we've had in the last 2 decades but somehow we've managed to score a lot of goals over the last 2 seasons. Arteta's system works but just won't cut it against decent teams.
He has one more season to prove himself before everyone turns on him.

2 seasons in a row, when it has mattered most, and we've had the opportunity to show fight, all we've shown is weak mentality, and the inability to get it done when it matters most. That goes for the manager as well. Questions should really be asked of Arteta now. Doesn't matter what signings we make this summer, next season will end the same way.
