I dropped my X380 off 3-22-24 for a motor replacement (ran it out of oil). It was supposed to take 4 hours to fix and the work would start in 3 weeks from drop off. It’s now 5-5-24 and the new motor isn’t even available to ship yet. What’s the delay?

@@papemachinery.agturf I got a call back on Saturday from the service department and they said they would check into the price of rebuilding my engine. I just got a call back right now and they said that a new motor wouldn’t be available until December! There’s a recall or something on one of the parts and they’re looking for a vendor to make them. I am SOL
@@papemachinery.agturf I bought a Dewalt push mower to tie me over. A couple acres and probably 8.5 km of walking and that still doesn’t cover what I used to mow. I don’t want to do that every weekend, but I think it’s what I’m stuck with
Hi Ralph, regular maintenance intervals are important to ensure peak performance of your X380. Be sure you service your machine every 50 hours or yearly, depending on what comes first, by following your owner's manual or check out the maintenance points that are printed out for your convenience under the hood. @@papemachinery.agturf I get that but you never answer my question how many hours can I put on this tractor with the Kawasaki engine FS600 series I'm trying to get an idea of the life of the tractor how many hours do you think I can do
@@RK777PL I GOT 2850 HOURS ON MY GT235 .. still ran like new ... used Redline oil and grease in the spindles ... my brother rolled it down a hill and destroyed it...regular oil changes even with petroleum should get a bunch of hours .. i just bought an X380 last week... did first oil change at 1.2 hours .. was full of metal.. motor got quieter with fresh oil...
@user-hj5ml8rr8u - thanks for sharing! I wish Pape would give us a range of what to expect for at least the transaxle since it can't be serviced. JD should have all that data.
@@charlielipthratt7291 i do not believe the no service BS... going to try to do mine at 50 hours .. my son has an X350.. just did his ..just measure how much you take out and refill with the same amount ..

No I was not kidding 300 hours would go buy a super quick for those of you all that think that's a lot I've I averaged 80 hours a week

Wow so your warranty is only 3 months 300 hours can be used enter in 3 months in fact there's 168 hours in a week
