OMG HE NAILED THIS. You even did the octave fuzz pedal part! Most people think its Adam that does that. This is truly a bass song that has some guitars. You highlight the beauty of this song perfectly. Good job brother.
This video actually inspired me to pick up a bass and have been playing for about a year now. I have absolutely loved it ever since and learned almost every Tool song (even though I don't have effects). Thank you Brad :)
ya know, for the longest time, i didnt like tool, but now their definitely growing on me, and this song is pretty much the reason, amazing bass work. love it.
Awesome cover. Very clear audio and video, as well. I really like that you even had all of the gear to mimic the quality of the bass throughout the song. Top notch.
Dude that was the fucking shit. I've been playing bass for 15 years and in touring bands for 8 years, that is a masterful control of tone with fantastic clarity and accuracy. Rock on man.
You've definitely improved from your first cover, no doubt there. I think this is as close as anyone gets to Justin's tone and 100% note perfect on the song. Great job.
Damn dude you rocked the ending so sickly,, I like your effects also so you their up the tabs so I can learn the chorus,, thats the only part I'm lackin, I learned the rest ear and it fucking fun to play
cool thanks Jesus bassplayer jammin at churches. You did a great job. I stay away from playuing out except church gigs because of my recovery. Sober this time since Aug 2002. Thanks for your vid it really helps.
I believe it’s chorus, delay, flange, distortion and whammy pedal. I’m pretty sure that’s what Justin chancellor uses for his solo parts as well, such as “the pot”
i've been playing bass for two months now. i got a Fender precision bass from about 100$ off ebay. works perfectly and was in new condition. you don't need a 3000$ bass.
It definetly depends. If you're just starting a squier VM jazz is often highly recommended for its versatility, as is the Ibanez GSR200. Both are good begginners basses. Both are around 200-300 usd. More genre specific, Schecters, Ibanez's, ESP's, Fender p bass, and Warwicks are all more Rock/Metalish, while jazz basses are more versatile and...jazzy. Hope that helps.
Perfect as usual Brad, but my one question is about the delay. Which settings do you use, you know like clock hand wise I guess? Mine seems close to bein right, but every time I fiddle with it it either makes it too much or not enough.
Hey dude i love your cover! Im currently learning this song and this video will help me immensely so thank you :) I was wondering if you had a tab for it?
@TOOLbassplayer do you need a distortion petal? because i just learned this song in 2 days without distortion. it sounds pretty damn good. but your cover its amazing dude 5/5
The amount of effort that went into getting that solo EXACTLY right...well done.

That was without question the best cover I have ever seen or heard!! I wish I was HALF as good.
ya know, for the longest time, i didnt like tool, but now their definitely growing on me, and this song is pretty much the reason, amazing bass work. love it.

NICE PLAY DUDE!!!
That was rad and heavy.
its not bad this, i like how u can really nail his sound on every aspect, first the twang and thump n then the distort...very nice.
Nice tone. Great cover
Finally! ive been waiting for this!!! awesome man. all you need now is the the pot!
really good job dude!
When I had trouble with "The Grudge" I came to your channel and watched what you did.
he's too awesome, the way he makes his bass sing is almost perverted, i wish i was this good
Bravo!
Great cover! I'm actually trying to learn this and I realized why I've been messing up on the part after the intro.
Warwick rock basses are pretty awesome, i got it after my first bass and it has kept up to its name still :)
Good job!
Most impressive.
master chief!
Great cover, my friend is letting me borrow his bass and im going to use this for practice
Wow awesome!!! ... even the same bass as Justin uses!
When it comes to playing bass, you win.
Well done!
Man what pedals do you use? Sounds great
I believe it’s chorus, delay, flange, distortion and whammy pedal. I’m pretty sure that’s what Justin chancellor uses for his solo parts as well, such as “the pot”
Just realizing I’m replying to a 6 year old comment
@@kaozinferno5980 I think in one part it's the digitech synth wah
@@kaozinferno5980 It's a fuzz pedal
@@FunkadelicPancho No it's a fuzz pedal
I wish i had the cash for those effects ! let alone the GK rig ! Awesome !!
Damn. Epic.
Perfect
Nice job!
I'ts the 3rd time i favorite this cover...
AWESOME. If you and Remi Zik got together and had a Love Child, the World would bow at his feet :)
i've been playing bass for two months now. i got a Fender precision bass from about 100$ off ebay. works perfectly and was in new condition. you don't need a 3000$ bass.
Master Chief approves...
....Your name is "TOOLbassplayer"?...Instant subscription.....
master chief behind
Perfect! I love the tone and bassline of Schism. Wish i had a better bass... =P

Love the covers,Man.I'd love to do a collaboration with you on either "Schism" or "Sober".
Good cover
nice effect..
really nice. how do you get the slight wah effect when you mess with the volume? or is it just altering the volume with distortion on?
Hey dude i love your cover! Im currently learning this song and this video will help me immensely so thank you :) I was wondering if you had a tab for it?
Great job!! What distorsion effect did you use?
Hammer
@TOOLbassplayer do you need a distortion petal? because i just learned this song in 2 days without distortion. it sounds pretty damn good. but your cover its amazing dude 5/5
nice master chief helmet in the back
As USUAL! the playing is spot on.
My ONLY Criticism, a lil too much on the treble end, turn the treble knob a lil bit and it'll sound ear-gasmic.
Nice playing and awesome bass. But you rush those triplets a little.
Agreed
Do you use your pedals through your sound card?
Damn dude, Great job! Oh...Ryland, keep playing guitar hero and enjoy.
Thank you. Volume :-)
Hmm, didnt realise this was supposed to be played with a pick. Thanks for a nice vid
Great Cover man... If I could rate at 10 starts I would... I can't even talk trash about the sox hat that was so bad freakin ass!! lol
DUDE!!!
sounds awesome! how do you set up the eq on your bass?
nice job
Awesome cover man! What effects did u use to do this?
