your use of light within that pallet is so convincing I'm actually craving citrus lol. and birds for scale isn't over the top one bit, in fact without them surrounding such a large convoy I'd probably assume this piece was unfinished. stunning work

Honestly, this might be a stretch but you should do an animation video of Civilization. Here's a little idea if I had the time, PC quality, and knowledge to do this.
The video starts in the Nomadic Age. It's earth but a cute miniature version. You see tiny little people travel across the map for what seems to be ages as time is quick. These people hunt and gather until they discover fertile land and settle near a river. Fast-forward centuries passed by as the small settlement grew in numbers. The small stick huts soon became stone structures with institutions and banners with Yellow color on them. Time then normalizes, as the settlement becomes a bustling city with caravans coming in and out, people on horses and pulling goods. In big words, it says [THE ANCIENT ERA] As the camera pans away from the city, you can see a Yellow Army marching out of the city. As the camera travels across, it meets an Army carrying red banners marching towards the city. The next slide is two armies meeting on the battlefield, having a large ancient battle before the Yellow side breaks in retreat. The camera pins back to the city with no walls and is easily overcome by the marching army as the city burns ablaze, smoke rising and you can hear the civilians desperately trying to fend off the invaders. The next day, the city fell to the army. Black smoke rises as the Yellow banners are dropped from the palace building.
Timeskip forward, the city grows more with walls being erected around the city, and farms being spread around the walled city. Large stone structures like Castles and Forts are created. The infrastructure begins to have stone paths and refined stone structures with a mix of brick structures. Time normalizes as the Red City enters [THE MEDIEVAL AGE]. The Red Banners still fly, now appearing on the tower walls. You can also see a church with a symbol above the roof. You can see priests, armored horse knights patrolling, and a mixed class of poor and wealthy civilians as well as horses pulling wagons. Outside the city, another army arrives. An army carrying Green Banners this time, and a large religious symbol that is different from the Red city. The church bell rings in the Red City, farmers outside the walls, and civilians come running into the city as the gates close. The Green Army begins to set up the Trebuchets. A tiny messenger from the Green Army approaches the walls and hands a note to the soldier. The soldier delivers the note to a small man with a golden crown on his head. He rejects as the soldier goes back and tells the messenger no. The messenger goes to the Green Army, and the general nods and sets up camp. Time passes by as the siege weapons are constructed, then they are used to siege the walled-in city, by launching large boulders covered in flames. Time flies by and the city walls are severely damaged, battering rams break the gates as the army now rushes in. A huge fight erupts once again, and time passes by as the battle is over. Smoke rises once more as the city is in ruins, the Red Banner falls and is replaced by a Green Banner instead, and the religious symbol tumbles upon the church and is replaced by the Green Army religious symbol.
Timeskip forward, the city starts to grow more in size, the structures become large and more buildings are becoming bricks, smoke stacks are seen with trails of smoke following them, multiple-story buildings are created and the city itself grows beyond the walls. Population booms and expands large like never before. You can start to see more updated institutions and start to see a mix of low, medium, and high-wealth civilians. Time then normalizes as the Green City enters in [THE INDUSTRIAL AGE]. The Green Banners are replaced with Green Flags, and they fly mighty high with the soldiers carrying muskets, patrolling in groups around the city. Let alone horses pulling fancy carriages. One night, at a tavern, people gather in it, as some are outside. Seems to be a meeting and what seems to be angry discussions. The group seems to be plotting as messengers are sent out around the city. Slowly more and more people go to this and many taverns. Soon, military soldiers storm one of the taverns and arrest many civilians, even gunning some who tried to escape. The next day, thousands surround a wooden platform as the popular civilians are hanged. Many cheer, some cry, some leave, and some are angry. Time passes by as unrest begins to show with occasional riots and looting around the city. Eventually, a large mob marches towards the barracks to storm the area, charging at the soldiers to break in. The soldiers tried to fight back but some civilians had guns of their own. Eventually, the armory is broken into, and the civilians are armed. The people march towards the palace to wave the banners of Yellow once more. The Green Army meets with the Yellow-armed civilians, and a large fight occurs with musket firing and cannons bombarding them. The Green army breaks as the people charge after them. Eventually, they reach the palace building and kill the nobles, the leader, and torches the rich palace building. Revolution occurs overnight as the fires spread, and skirmishes occur around the city before finally the flags of Green fall and are replaced with flags of Yellow. Time skips as the city continues to grow with now lights being introduced alongside a Coal Power Plant and Model-T cars being introduced. At some point, the city sends its army to fight a massive world war. The camera pans to a World War 1 scene with trenches and large artillery hitting one another. Eventually, the camera pans back to the city as the army marches back home. Skyscrapers begin to rise as more armies are sent out once again, this time the camera pans to a large land with World War 2 tanks and places fighting one another. The camera pans back to the growing city once again as the army marches back.
Time skips forward once more. The buildings are no more stone structures or bricks but more of cement, and wood. The city greatly modernized with many skyscrapers being constructed mostly in the center area around the newly built and expanded capital building. The coal power plant gets abandoned as a Nuclear Power Plant is made. An airport is constructed with jets and airlines flying around the bustling city as well as a Space Station is built away from the city as well as Nuclear Silos are built away from the city. The Model-T cars evolve into different styles from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and the 2000s. The time resumes as the Yellow City enters in the [MODERN AGE]. You can see many institutions, people, and everything you see today, being represented in the modernized city. The camera pans to the space station as a large orange rocket with a white stripe can be seen. The Rocket ignites as the vehicle is launched into the air. The Camera follows it, not looking down at each. Eventually, the rocket reaches space, angling as it does. It then detached at certain stages until the last thing that appears is a Rectangle item. It unfolds its glass wings, a Satellite. The satellite has a green bulb above it, it seems to be off before the satellite angles here and there, getting the right position, the green bulb turns on, and the satellite sends a single back down. The camera pans down to earth as other cities can be seen. Most notably the Red and Green City. Once we approach our yellow city, the camera flies down towards the city, resuming its fixed view of the city.
Time skips once more, as the city continues to expand and grow. The world is ever more changing as slick skyscrapers are built with unique designs, tall and slim buildings with lots of techno billboards, and eventually become a cyberpunk type of city but not too much. Time normalizes as the Yellow City has entered [THE SPACE AGE]. A rocket is launched from the space station which reaches high up into space, the camera follows it and lands on the moon, which has a base colony. From that base colony, another rocket launches and heads towards Mars. The rocket lands on Mars in the Yellow-domed colony base. Nearby is the Green and Red domed colony. You can see the colonies are helping one another to build and expand, building large machines to attempt to terraform Mars. The camera zooms into the dome as an adult shows the kid a telescope. The kid looks through the telescope as the adult talks. The camera pans upwards to see a bright green and blue ball. It’s earth. The camera then races up through the dome and across space, traveling back to Earth. The camera resumes a fixated position at the Yellow City.
Time flies by as the environmental conditions begin to worsen, as industries expand, natural disasters begin to occur more frequently, the area becomes a bit more redder as pollution takes a toll on the world, trash slowly builds around the area, and unrest grows once more. The Yellow City sends out its army once again, and the camera pans to a battlefield, with a small oil town in ruins as the Yellow Army fights off the Green and Red Army, who are also fighting each other. The Camera pans back to the Yellow City. The city looks a bit poor, some buildings have no light. Then suddenly, the sirens blare as from the blurry distance you can see white missiles with red stripes flying into the air, and they don’t seem to look like the orange rockets you typically launch to deploy satellites or to carry a space shuttle. The sirens continue to blare as red lights and alarms blare at the nearby military base. Silos open up one by one. Big white missiles with a single red stripe are launched from the silos. People scream and panic ever since the sirens blared, and absolute societal mayhem spreads through the city. Bright flashes occur in the distance one by one, and then a single white missile with a red stripe races down above the city before the screen is white for 5 seconds. A mushroom appears before you, the city collapsing in a firing blaze as it expands and rises high into the sky. The camera moves to the Yellow City satellite. The camera is focused on the satellite but looks downward onto Earth. Earth is blurry by missiles can be seen racing across the area, multiple of them as bright flashes continue to appear around earth. The green bulb on the satellite goes off, before turning an ominous red, angling itself to aim at another incoming satellite. The Satellite shoots a projectile, destroying the other satellite before another projectile destroys the Yellow City satellite. The moon base power goes off as missiles from Earth attempt to hit the moon base. The moon base missiles counter with their own, trying to intercept the incoming missiles. However, the camera looks up to Mars, making it unknown if the missiles hit the moon.
The camera heads towards Mars, seeming to be somewhat terraformed. The Red, Green, and Yellow Base hear the news of the situation as the leaders meet in a field, with some soldiers. Although there was an argument and a near fight, they all concluded that it wasn’t worth it. They each shake hands with one another and head back to their bases. The camera pans to the yellow base and time fast-forwards once more. Mars becomes greener and greener, looking ominously like Earth. Eventually, the bubble-like city deconstructs its dome and eventually, the city sprawls out with futuristic skyscrapers being constructed once more. The cities look like the cities from Earth, but much more futuristic and cyberpunk. The time normalizes once again, and the Yellow City has entered [THE NEW AGE]. However, time does not fast-forward, instead, the camera zooms down to a house on a hill. An adult shows the kid the telescope as the adult begins to talk. The kid looks at the telescope, excited about it. The camera then pins up towards space. Looking at the stars and what used to be the green-blue ball, now an orange-red ball. Then the camera zooms out incredibly to show our Milky Way Galaxy. The video dims out as it eventually ends.
However, that's just an idea. It’ll probably take you years to do that and a decade for me-
But a guy can dream, right? XD

Hey, I have been watching your videos and finally decides to learn 3d coat. May I ask you how much do you decimate when you retopo your 3d coat sculpt to export before you export it to Blender? My object that I export seems to be so blocky in Blender after I retopo it. Thank you for your answer 🙏

What graphics card are you using? The speed of the viewport is insanely fast ( I know the video is sped up but) and it looks like Cycles. Just in Real-time almost.

I have stopped doing mentoring at this point due to time constraints. But, I don't do Matte Painting, I develop concept arts.
And yes, perhaps not completely but for the most part soon artificial intelligence will replace most of the professionals of these professions in one way or another.
