An Introduction to Cambridge and Its Must-See Sites

The city of Cambridge isn't far from London and can be visited in a day. It's also one of the prettiest cities in England! You don't want Oxford to hear this :)
From King's Cross Train Station, you can get to Cambridge in about an hour.
I bought my train ticket on South Western Railway a week ago for 20 pounds. You can find the most suitable ticket by picking the dates you want to go: www.southwesternrailway.com/
There's about a half-hour walk between the train station and the city center. Take a bus or a taxi if you want, or open the directions on your phone and walk like me :) When I got home, I saw that I had taken 19 thousand steps. Below are all the places I visited to take these steps:
Corpus Clock - Time magazine named the time-eating grasshopper Corpus Clock the best invention of 2008, and it was unveiled by Stephen Hawking.
Trinity College - There's an apple tree in this college's garden that symbolizes Newton's gravity.
Great St Mary’s Church - You'll get the best view of Cambridge from here. You have to pay 6 pounds at the entrance and climb 123 steps to get to the tower. Although I consider it very tiring, I would recommend it to anyone who does not have any health problems. The view at the top of the tower is spectacular!
King's College Chapel is one of the biggest examples of gothic English architecture in Cambridge University. Tickets have to be bought online in advance. It's 10 pounds. Check out the details here: www.tickettailor.com/events/k...
Punting Tour - Take a 45-minute kayak tour on the River Cam to see the bridges and colleges that give Cambridge its name. Of course, if the weather's nice and sunny, it'll be even better. You should have a shawl with you to cover yourself since the river is winding. All historical buildings are explained in detail by a guide. Punting tours are offered by a lot of companies. This tour was organized by Scholars Punting Cambridge, which I bought online for £25 through Get Your Guide. As I was pleased, I wanted to share the tour info. Queens' College - I paid 5 pounds to get into Queen's College so I could walk over the Mathematical Bridge that connects the two buildings. On the other hand, you can watch it from the other side without paying anything. This iconic sight is a must-see when you're in Cambridge.
Take a breather at The Anchor Pub during your trip and have a drink against the view. Even classic pub food like Fish and Chips is available. It's great to sit by the river in sunny weather.
I got all of these done in 6 hours. Feel free to extend the time and add things :)

Merhaba, normal koşullara göre yüksek görünüyor başka sitelerden de araştırmanızı tavsiye ederim. Ama turistik sezon için bakıyorsanız ve tarih yakınsa fiyatlar yüksek olabiliyor.
