Adam Ottavino is cool. But the Mets need to move on and turn the page from him already. If they're going to reunite with someone it should be Robertson. Let another team sign him. The Mets need someone like Stanick. If they're only getting one more piece for the BP it should be Stanick. Not Ottavino.
The Mets need a number 2 starting pitcher. If they can't get 3 more pieces, those pieces being 2 more pieces for the BP and 1 piece for the starting rotation then get Stanick and make a splash for a number 2 starter to pair with Senga.
I'm not taking anything away from Ottavino. I just think the Mets should not look back anymore with him. I'm not looking forward to him coming back. The reunion that makes sense is a reunion with Robertson. But if they're only getting 1 more arm for the BP it should be Stanick. Stanick would finish completing the BP. Then the Mets need to get themselves a true number 2 starting pitcher.
