Mmmh I wonder how many Lady Gaga's songs and live perfomances you've listened to Joel... she has a very distinctive voice, especially when she sings acoustic versions. She can change and adapt her voice to fit almost every genre of music, from country, to pop, to house, to jazz, to musical/theatrical stuff. Her voice is one of the most versatile and if that's not unique I don't know what is honestly... I don't want to sound aggressive, I'm just saying that I had once myself tought that she didn't have much of a voice and couldn't really sing until I went to her Monster Ball concert by chance and heard her singing "Speechless" with just her voice and her piano and I was mindblowned! imo Lady Gaga's voice is one off the best and most versatile out there, the woman is literally classically trained she can belt out like a champ, she can sing and dance at the same time, she can be singing opera one day the next jazz with Tony Bennett and the other with Metalicca or cover Led Zeppelin and she still manages to be original.
